I think the current weather system underscores why they tend to keep it warm weather, even if its not 100% fair, or a guarantee of great weather. No way could they kick off a game at 6:30pm today in NYC unless they want to read stories about thousands of fans stranded on highways (or dead in car accidents) after the game when the storm is supposed to peak. I suspect one of options last year in the event of bad weather was to move the game up to a 1:00pm kickoff. Probably could get away with that today.
