According to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, the news that seemed inevitable is out Kroenke plans to build an NFL stadium in Inglewood, near the site of the old Hollywood Park race track.

I'm not sure a new HC will want to keep CJ in 2015

Why not? He'll cost $2.17M against the cap if cut and still has talent. But has he opted-out? Someone earlier in the thread said he had, but I haven't been able to confirm that.

I've been on the fence for the last 3 seasons with CJ, He's not lived up to his "potential" Sorry, he's not been real good for a while.

Trade him and or cut the cord now and move on.

There was a mistake made initially in the interpretation of the optional year. For all intents and purposes, the optional year does not exist(there is no option for a 6th year). This means that Spiller is a FA......and he also counts as a $2.2M cap hit.

So the 6th year was voided by some performance parameter earlier in the contract. Got it. He's gone.
