Nice to have people seeing a "trap game" for the Bills (ESPN L

Recommended Posts

Pats drop to 1-2, Jets lose to Miami, Buffalo gets a 1 point win in Cleveland on last second FG after Weedon makes a dumb rookie play. T Richardson shreds the Bills D for 130 yards. Weedon outplays Fitz but we get lucky.

There is NO basis for that. Richardson is banged up, for one, and our defense has done nothing short of shut down the running game of NYJ and KC.

This game is not a gimmie by any means but is absolutely is a game we MUST win. If there's Amy ge on the schedule that's on the road that we have a clear shot at, it's this one. If we win, like someone else said, we go home against a division rival with the chance to take the division 3-1. At the very least, it increases our chances with a frenzied crowd at home against Marcia Brady.

If we lose, we lose all our momentum from the Chiefs game. Look like we don't belong. And simply start to lose faith in the game plans and coaching staffs all before going on a small road trip out west.

Make no mistake, this absolutely IS a MUST WIN GAME!!!

Why does everyone say "make no mistake"

Just like this league is a copycat league and now everyone passes. This board is a copycat board. Ibwas just doing it cause everyone else was doing it. Just wait til everyone brings out the "Not for nothing" crap.

Football Outsiders conclusively showed there are no such things as trap games a few years ago, but nobody listens. Good teams beat bad teams at roughly the same rate whether its a "trap" game or not. If a bad team wins, it simply does so because they happened to win the game, just as they would have won in 1 out of every 4 or 5 games regardless against that team, not because it was a trap game. Basically their winning percentages against sub-.500 teams were almost identical both in "trap games" and non-trap games.

Trap games don't exist, but the media still clings to the idea they do.

The Browns have had the Bill's number for several years now. This will be a tough age, make no mistake.

Can you explain what you base this on?

2011: didn't play Browns

2010: beat them, 13-6

2009: lost, 3-6

Splitting the last two times we played and the low score shows that they're a team to take seriously, and I agree it will be a tough game

Splitting the last two times we played with low score isn't my idea of "they have our number"

(the Jets would be Exhibit A of they have our number)
