Axelrod Attacks H.W. Bush For Playing Golf

Recommended Posts

Words I'm sure he'd like back:

"Video from 1994 has surfaced of David Axelrod, President Obama’s chief campaign strategist, calling former President George H.W. Bush “out of touch” for “tastelessly” playing golf while trying to convince voters that the economy is improving.

“Bush tastelessly did it, often from the ninth hole, and from the cigar boat and other places,” Axelrod said.

Added the adviser: “The impression you got was that he was out of touch.”

Throughout his presidency, Obama has been known to hit the links nearly every week.

Axelrod explained in the 1994 interview that if “you cite these statistics that say the economy is improving, you almost do political damage to yourself.”

As Obama is black, he is simply asserting his right to enjoy what has traditionally been a whites only game. Our Lord and Savior, King Obama, is a national treasure who is not playing golf for his own amusement, distraction and enjoyment, but for the sake of all of us. Bush 41 was wrong to be golfing and making silly comments from the links while the country was burning around him. Obama is out there sacrificing his time to hit that little white ball for all Americans. In fact, we should all show a little humility and thank Obama for everything he is doing on that golf course to better the lot of all Americans.

Well that or Axelrod is just another partisan jerkoff who only takes issue with minor nonsense when a member of the "other" party is doing it. You know, sort of like those minor and irrelevant national security leaks that somehow magically benefit King Obambam.

Seriously, I think we would all be better off if Obama spent 24/7 on the links, but his total disdain for the public irritates the schit out of me. He's been fund raising for what seems like since last year. He doesn't do anything himself, except make speeches and blame everyone else for his inability to accomplish a damn thing other than giving us "bad" change. I firmly believe that the leaks were authorized and encouraged from the WH purely for political reasons. He has put other people's lives in danger for his supposed political gain. If he had ever had "our trust" he's lost it now. My description of him would be "charlatan".

Fond memories of weekend getaways at the Castle Inn.

Its gone now.

Someone at Politico either has a wicked sense of humor or perhaps didn’t notice the irony of putting these two stories sequentially in today’s output. Here it is, verbatim:

BURDEN OF GOVERNING COULD DISTRACT OBAMA FROM CAMPAIGN: “Although American voters are not particularly focused on foreign policy in a time of economic trouble, the rest of the world has a way of occupying a president’s time and intruding on his best-laid campaign plans,” Peter Baker writes on A1 of today’s New York Times that leads with the trouble in Greece, Syria and Egypt over the weekend. “If anything, the dire headlines from around the world only reinforce an uncomfortable reality for this president and any of his successors: even the world’s last superpower has only so much control over events beyond its borders…Whether from ripples of the European fiscal crisis or flare-ups of violence in Baghdad, it is easy to be whipsawed by events. The trick for any president, of course, is in not seeming to be whipsawed, even as his challenger presents him as weak and ineffectual in shaping international events.” Peter: NY Times Jennifer Epstein on what to watch in Mexico: Politico.

MILESTONE: Obama played his 100th round of golf as president at the Beverly Country Club in Chicago yesterday. Here are some aerial photos of the course if you’re into that kind of thing: http://bit.ly/M5NFS7. Here’s Mark Knoller’s CBS News piece: http://cbsn.ws/MAyuCx.

If you ever want to see what happens when you let a 14-year-old girl use Twitter, you should follow David Axelrod. Part of me is sometimes embarrassed by the childish stuff he posts.

The difference is the 14 year old girl understands the technology, and that everyone will know what she said at school tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Axelrod's approach to twitter is: free association + internal dialogue + stress reliever = throwing random sentences into what he thinks is a black hole.

Instead, the twitterverse craps them out, and we all get to .

Any less embarassing than 40+ yo old men calling fellow Bills fans names for simply having a different opinion? Glass houses.

Or Bills fans having an opinion based strictly on the color a person's skin.

I understand it doesn't fit your agenda that not every person thinks in just black/ white or liberal/ conservative. So if that makes you feel better to just label someone who disagrees with you a liberal racist, good for you. But it's this attitude that is stunting this country's ability to grow.

I'll never understand how people like yourself primarily form opinions based on the color of someone's skin, and then complains that everyone is a racist. Check the mirror, sir.

And the attitude stunting the country right now is a direct result of the fact that the person who is supposed to be the leader of the free world couldn't lead a horse to water, and yet carries on as though he created water while blaming the horse for not doing as told. We will, one day, have a leader for president again, and you'll see the difference between someone who leads and someone who blames everyone else for his shortcomings. Clinton was a leader. Hillary would be a great leader. But Barack Obama is nothing more than the dumbass boss you used to work for, whose staff would sit around having cocktails, asking each other how such a useless dumbass got to be their boss.

You honestly don't believe there isn't a huge generation gap between people like yourself and people in their 20s?

And you're not a fan of Obama? :o You're right, the country was doing awesome until that foreign born socialist terrorist ruined it single handedly.
