An easy to read OPEN LETTER, to Terry Pegula

The Sabres aren't exactly setting the NHL on fire either, even after all the money he spent.

PTR

And there also wasn't really a quick fix yet for the Sabres that was available. The Sabres have a ways to go to catch teams like Pittsburgh and Boston and such. And the free agent market isn't strong enough yet to do that.

Pegula is, at the very least, trying.

There is no comparison between Pegula and Ralph. None. And Ralph is on the losing end.

Sadly, unless the Bills get lucky with their drafts the Bills will never be competitive with Ralph Wilson as owner. There is no blueprint, no plan, no structure, nor the right peole in place for the team to win. It all starts with an owner who wants to win and a GM who makes sound football decisions. The Bills have none of this.

Exactly correct. And the more and more you see, hear players speak, listen to the subtle clues of the media, watch home games being sold, seeing productive players leave, seeing the team with oodles of cap room, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, the more it makes things harder to swallow.

Ole car salesman Russ will be losing gobs of season tickets again next year. Might they dip into the 20,000's??? What a shame.

NHL isn't a league rigged for parity. NFL is. The way the league is designed, you should get bang for your buck, if you are willing to spend to the cap. RW isn't.

1st yes! Mr. Pegula, please pick up the phone and have a talk with Ralph, you know you want to :). Try to get him to work a deal, he can stay owner even, buy a large minority and offer to spend and buy the team 100% after he passes.

2nd I cannot agree with that statement above, in fact FA in hockey works much better. I feel there are a few reasons for that. The main one being the lines and substitutions. Much easier to find the right chemistry on ice in any given moment. In football one player, one play and the games is done. The weakness can be exposed over and over.

The Bills and the Sarbers have the same problem at the moment IMHO, too many injuries and not enough quality depth, the Sabers were lucky that Enroth filled in so well earlier this season though or their record could be just as bad.

They are also both finesse teams and both need to play more smashmouth in philosophy.

its a bit silly comparing the sabres and the bills. totally different levels.sabres are and have been a B organization even before Pegs got here. bills are a D+..and thats with the late 80s early 90s and mid 60s included.
