Hey thats a fair point. But its not speculation on my part, and this is all i was told, but it was by people in the know, who were part of crafting the legal documents. Im not claiming to know the whole thing etc. But have you noticed there isnt a lot of panic by the powers that be about our 90- yr old team owner?

Bottom line: the team isnt passing to the children (which it would go to his wife first if intestate) like you would pass on your car or something else. Theres a plan in place but its not being made public for obvious reasons. NFL owners are rich, and Ralph is self made. He isnt dumb enough to leave no plan in place.

This isnt guessing or conjecture on my part.

pray tell...what are the obvious reasons. how much of a hit would he take to sell the team now or disclose his plan if a deal's already been made?

You have to understand our skepticism - the fate of the Buffalo Bills upon Ralph's passing has been the major long-term debate for years and years and years, and the Bills as a football team suffer because of the perceived instability of the franchise.

You'd have to think that if there was a plan, it would be made known such as not to have the continued negative impact on the brand. That's what I'd think, at least.

I do perceive people freaking out - there are multiple threads per week here about the team moving when Ralph dies. That is bad business, if it isn't true.

obvious reasons- its family business, and ralph is a relatively private person.

I understand the hardcore fans freaking out. But you dont see players, inside sources, politicians etc showing much concern. Its somewhat well known in the power circles that theres a plan in place that all but ensures the team stays.

Donald Trump will buy the team. His vision is to have a stadium on the US side of the falls. He will build a casino and hotel close by.

Kelly has gone on record several times saying that he has a group of buyers lined up. I believe that the Donald is part of that group. Hopefully Jimbo is not bluffing. He would be pretty stupid to give us that kind of hope if it were based on nothing, so I have a high degree of confidence in what he says. Besides, Trump and Kelly go back a ways, and Trump IS a fan of the Bills.

Thanks for getting my hopes up. I really really hope this happens. . .

Well, I believe the trust is required to maximize the asset - therefore, the highest bid maximizes for the estate....

Yea if there was a trust. But his wife is alive and she would get the team pending language of his will. btw RW can make it so the team is sold to a bidder who keeps the team in Blo only.

Its not quite as simple as he dies, teams sold to highest bidder, team gone from buffalo.

bulls*&^t. his life would become exponentially more private if he sold the team!!

Why to the highest bidder? Can't they sell the team to whomever they want?

If you were selling something wouldn't you sell it to the highest bidder??? Why should the Wilsons do otherwise????

If he cared about the franchise staying in Buffalo, he would have sold it already or started a plan in motion.

IMHO ... I think it's the other way around .... Ralph knows shortly after he sells his team the new owner will leave for greener pastures.

It is true that it is carefully planned, as all his assets are. Its not a "oops he died, lets look up the rulebook now" thing.

no doubt..but what in his history gives you hope that he's put buffalo's interest above his family's or even near it?

The reason no one knows the plan is because the plan is to just move the team.

If he made that known, think of the outcry it would create. He would have a huge mess on his hands, and ticket sales would even further plummet.

thats not the plan. at all. maybe you should ask Kelsay about that.

Then why not just do it now? You're talking out of your ass.
