Bills at Green Bay

Recommended Posts

For some reason I can't post this in the Tailgate Section, so I'm going to post here and maybe it can be moved.

We are going to begin planning details for the weekend probably within the next couple weeks. Current plans for the weekend are to include a tour of Lambeau Field, meet 'n' greet party, and a Sunday morning tailgate. If anyone is interested in helping out, go ahead and post a message here or send me a PM.

UPDATED INFORMATION

- Lambeau Field Stadium Tours: No private tours are available the day before or the day after a home game. Therefore, we will try to schedule a time amongst Bills fans to arrive at the stadium and purchase general tour tickets. Tickets go on sale at 9:00am Monday-Saturday and generally sell out, so we should decide on an early time to meet. Ticket prices are as followed: Adults(18-61) $11, Seniors(62+) $10, Youth(12-17) $10, Children(6-11) $8, Children(5 & under) Free.

- Prime Quarter Beefeaters Club Challenge vs. Packers Fans: Saturday, September 18 at 7:00PM. For $26.95, you grill a 40 oz. USDA choice top sirloin and are eligible to participate in a contest. If you eat all your dinner in less than one hour and 15 minutes, including a trip to the salad bar, a baked potato and Texas toast, you become a member of the Beefeater's Club. At this time the plan is to have the challenge take place on Saturday evening at the Prime Quarter, which is located at 2610 S. Oneida St. Check back for more details, including starting time, participants, and special guests.

- Bills Tunnel: For those that are interested in getting tickets near the tunnel that the Bills enter the field, the tunnel is located between sections 137 and 138. This is the information I got for the Packers ticket office.

We are also looking for help with this year's slogan. Here is what we have had the past two years:

2008- Bills Stampede into Glendale

2009- Bills Rock 'n' Roll into Nashville

2010- Bills Shred Cheeseheads in Green Bay

I've got my tickets secured for the game. I'd like to take a tour Saturday afternoon but I wonder if they would set up a special tour for a group?

They don't do private group tours the day before or after a home game. We are going to be trying to arrange a time for all Bills fans to arrive, so we can make it a tour with as many Bills fans as possible.

My dad and I will probably be going, doing the stubhub thing. Any suggestions for other places for tickets, or is that the best bet?

I don't know any other options besides Stubhub and ebay and Stubhub is a way better option than ebay. I explored both options pretty thoroughly. Just to give you an idea, we got five tickets in the middle of the end zone 14 rows up and after everything, they came out to $217 apiece. You are not going to find tickets not in the endzone unless you're willing to pay WAY more than that, this much I can tell you. Obviously it's well worth it. Anyone else planning on partying in Milwaukee Friday night? My crew will be in town and will be wearing our Bills jerseys out.

Currently, we are setting up an eating challenge for Saturday night. It will be Bills fans vs Packers fans at the Prime Quarter in Green Bay/ The challenge consists of eating a 40 oz. USDA top choice sirloin, salad bar, baked potato, and Texas toast all in less than 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let me know if you are interested so I can give the restaraunt advance notice.

Damn!!!! I would love to commit but it's too close to the NE* game, to which I'm already committed. Will let you know if that changes.

Damn. And I'm the guy for the eating challenge too - I once put down a 40-oz. porterhouse, with all the trimmings, at Morton's/Chicago on Fat Tueday - then had a big cheesecake desert, then went 'hunting' at Excalibur.

Damn.

Did ya follow up with tortillas?

My Packer friend and I are going, hoping to get into Farve's steakhouse Sat nite, but that'll probably be next to impossible.

Come on down to Prime Quarters on Saturday night. That is where we will be having the eating contest against Packers fans.

You could check the classified adds in some of the major newspapers in that area for tickets. I got this

advice from a conversation with some one who lives in Stevens Point Wisconsin.

FYI, I just booked a hotel room for my dad and I (his annual father's day gift--since I owe him for my curse of Bills fandom!), but they seem to be going fast, as there weren't too many places to choose from. A word to the wise is to book yours now if you want to go to this game. Also got some tix on Stubhub--the middle of section 121 for about $230 bucks each. Now I just need to line up the flights, but looking forward to spending a weekend at a true football shrine.....
