But wait there's more! I was at work and get a notification from my security system company that our downstairs motion detector had been triggered. I think it might be the cat but they ask if I want OPD to investigate. I say yes! They show up at 4am! 14 hours later. Never knocked, never did a security check. They looked in our windows and one cop says "the place doesn't look disheveled." Excuse me?? Maybe we're in the back bedroom dead on the floor. With that taxpayer funded security I'm taking my safety into my own hands. Took several weapons courses including home invasion. Two.

I have a few but I’ll start with this one….. Korn…….I was the Chef at Hollywood Athletic Club at Universal Citywalk in the early 90’s. Korn and Nine Inch Nails were playing at the Amphitheater. We did the NIN after show. We did the the Korn pre show meet and greet. No one showed up. 😔. I went to the bar to check on the food. The band was at at the bar looking sad. I walked up and pointed to the music coming from the bar sound system and asked “is this you guys?” They nodded yes. I say “love it!!” They perked up. 🤟🏻

The poverty level of the students should have no bearing on how much is spent on those students. As a matter of fact we pretty much lead the world on how much is spent on each student. So this brings me back to the accountability factor. Where is all that money going if it's not going to the teachers? Government sucks. So the only ones that should be held accountable with regard to educating our students are parents and students? The teachers and DOE have no accountability?? So we have ignorant parents but those that run our school systems and babysit our children are the final say on what our children are taught? I think there is a lot of ignorance in our school system. Aren't many of them parents too? Do you feel parents should have a bigger say in what THEIR children are taught. And you say the curriculum has worked for the most part. A couple hours? How cute. When I lived in Oakland I was at work when I got a call from my security system company. They said there was an alarm. One of my motion detectors went off. They asked if I wanted them to send the police. I assumed it was the cat but told them sure. Cops showed up 14 hours later while we were sound asleep. Didn’t even knock and do a safety check. They peeked into our window and heard one say “nothing looks disheveled” and they left. We could have been dead in the back bedroom. 🙄 As far as the question posed here? The cat. The death penalty, like abortion, is an issue I do struggle with. There are some horrible animals out there that serve no purpose however our judicial system is not perfect. So there is a bigger part of me that feels better to let one animal rot in prison (on our dime mind you) than just one truly innocent person being executed.

How do you know if they have not committed a crime if they have not gone to trial. Their guilt or innocence is determined by a jury of their peers not before. We are talking the current bail system that proceeds the trial.
