  1. It seems as though Cowher is hanging on for dear life for other jobs to open up or else it's Buffalo or CBS. Even though Ralph has screwed a lot of things up with this organization, he is right to say he would like to have someone here who is on a mission and not a mercy call. Having said that, if Cowher does not come, I just hope that Buddy Nix can find someone who has got an offensive mind for things and brings a whole change of attitude to this team. Along with his demeanor, defensive mind and Pro Bowl players he has, Frazier appears to be everything I don't want as a Head Coach. Take as long as you want for all I care, just don't go and hire the first realistic guy you interview.
  2. I suggested McNabb last week and think it should DEFINITELY be something they try very hard to do. Throw Lynch over there with a draft pick, draft a QB in the second round, hire a top notch coach and bam..voila! It's easy right?
  3. Now that the Cleveland Job is gone for Fox, Cowher really does not have much of anything. Instead of taking the CBS job and HOPING more jobs open up next year, he could take this year to get a full season under his belt in Buffalo. Wherever he would go next year would mean starting from scratch and another year away from football. Take the Buffalo job now and your QB (whoever that will be) will be off and running in YOUR system by 2011.
  4. The situation in Carolina is resolved. Clearly Cowher wants that job as badly as the Bills want Cowher so until that is clarified, Buffalo is not getting any answers.
  5. You know damn well he is going to be picked at #8
  6. There are a couple can't miss guys in the top 5 and if this guy is available at #9, it would be a giant step for the defense. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...ex.html?cnn=yes
  7. These guys have struck out so many times with players and coaches which explains why everyone might be a liiiiiiiiittle gun-shy when it comes to a guy without proven track record.
  8. I just wish we could get someone with an offensive mind in here. If this team is going to miss the playoffs every year, can they at least be fun to watch. I can't take another year on offense like the one we just experienced.
  9. This is exactly why I believe there is the slightest glimmer of hope that Cowher is a possibility. If not Cowher, I believe the Bills already know who the next coach is going to be. Otherwise, I believe Billick would at least get an interview. Maybe one of their targets has already said yes but Buddy is waiting on Cowher's final answer. As soon as Cowher gives no, their other target will get hired.
  10. Drafting a LT is still priority number one but you can still get a decent QB in Round 2 or 3 (Unless someone they love falls to them at 9)
  11. I would think that they could ask him who he might want the Bills to go after. Cowher tells them 3 or 4 guys and the Bills do whatever they need to do to go after said player. You would think drafting a QB, Brohm, certain free agents or an up and coming back up would allow someone to step up and take the job. If Philly sees Kolb as their next guy, maybe see what it would take to get McNabb while he is still worth something. If not, see what it would take to get a Kolb like person. Anyhow, I think that there has to be way to get a decent QB in here even if it means giving up some future draft picks. I think Nix is going to do a good job, Cowher would be insane and the rest just falls into place. I think the QB thing could be fixed so if he does not take the job, he REALLY does not want to come here. (Vick / similar to Cordell Stewart)?? I kid I kid
  12. I am fine with not getting Cowher but I would honestly like to get an up and coming coordinator more than Billick. I just never thought he was that great of a coach.
  13. I don't know what to believe. Hopefully not this....
  14. now hire Cowher and his staff, get throwbacks full time and you can cancel Christmas!
  15. The fact that the Bills have the 9th pick and there are 9 players that would fill major holes immediately is a great sign. I don't believe any of these would be considered a reach....... QBs Clausen Bradford OTs Okung Bruce Campbell Bryan Bulaga Trent Williams DTs Suh McCoy LB McClain
  16. Houston or Buffalo.......that would be a bad loss if it came down to these two. I would love to get Fox out of this somehow.....if Carolina opened up
  17. I recall watching multiple games coached by Billick in his final year (I believe one was against us) and thinking this guy makes worse gameday decisions than the idiots we have here. I would rather take a stab at an up and coming offensive minded guy who is known to be a great QB teacher than Billick.
  18. No matter what, I believe the Bills should draft a QB in first or second AND pick up a veteran in FA. Let all these guys compete for the job in the off season and hopefully one of them pans out. Maybe Brohm or Edwards could be coached up - who knows. Only the strong will survive next year so that is a great thing. Nix has already let more fresh air into this organization in one day than the last 10 years combined.
  19. No reason not to like him...I just pray that they bring the right coach in here.
  20. Oh well, hopefully some good changes in the off season.....
  21. How in the world do you get "get over yourself" from me posting that it is a waste of time to start Fitzpatrick. You must be a lonely, bitter little princess.
  22. Let's up so. I'll be watching this one from the couch...what a brutal way to end the season
  23. I know it will not make the slightest difference if I go or not, it's just a shame that they can't look to the future of this team just ONCE
  24. Yes, I know how much you loved that. I have put myself through plenty of boring games in the past but this would top all if Fitz is leading the way. Everything walkout related was strictly Jauron being the coach. Nothing will ever bother me as much as when he was here.....
  25. If they even think about throwing Fitz out there, nobody is utilizing my tickets. THey won't get parking, concessions, etc, et, etc.... Perry, go out on a high note because if you start Fitz, you look no better than Jauron. You are already doing a pretty good imitation by punting on the Falcons 40 and kicking a field goal to avoid the shutout.
