  1. That article mentioned a way of spying that I think Belecheck will use against his closest divison rival, the Bills, this year. Interviewing former players. Sam Aiken would know the offensive play calls and Jason Webster would know the defensive play calls. Both players signed by the Patriots. Also, Victor Hobson was signed away from the Jets after they, on paper, improved their line up through FA.
  2. That's right. It was Locke's father.
  3. Thanks. I guess I confused the flash forward and flash back swooshes.
  4. In an earlier episode he was in a flash forward. Sun was delivering a baby and Jin was running around to buy a teddy bear. He bought one and delivered it to some chinese businessman.
  5. It's always easier to afford something when it is someone else's money. I have no problem with compensating for expenses incured for travel to the capital and back but local travel should not be covered. If the constituants can incur these expenses and survive then the politiacins can do it.
  6. I forgot about Jin and Sun. How about that? Jin wants her off the island while he stays? Something else I thought of, how many people survived the trip home? "The Oceanic 6": 1)Jack 2)Kate 3)Aaron 4)Hurley 5)Sayeed 6) Sun 7)Jin. All 7 of these people have had flash forwards.
  7. I thought last night was a great episode. Lots of questions. Hurley sees Charlie and knows the future? What happened to Claire? What is up with Jack? Sawyer has been the man since he killed his father. My guess on what Kate had to do for him. Make contact with his mother or the con artist ex-girlfriend and let them know he had changed and he was sorry. My guess on Jack, he learns Claire was his sister and can save only one, Kate or Claire and he chooses Kate. Everytime he looks at Aaron he is a reminded that his decision left Aaron without a mother. What's up with Hurley? I have no guess on that one.
  8. So what you are saying is defenses keyed in on stopping the RB's for running plays and let them run wild on passing plays? Also, if it is a 3rd down I want the pass to go to the person who is past the first down marker. I don't care what position that person plays. As I have already stated I believe a TE runs deeper routes than RB's so the better option would most likely be to the TE. If the TE is further down the field we should get the 1st. The upside of hitting the TE is that teams will be forced to guard them. Again, that will open up the whole offense.
  9. I like John Clayton but I think he looks like a freaky puppet.
  10. In terms of percentages Trent completed less passes to the RB's than JP and I too would prefer to have the ball in the hands of Marshawn but utilizing the TE position opens up the offense. Defenses are already keying in on Marshawn, Fred and Lee already. Finding that big body down the field draws coverage to the middle of the field and away from Lee. I just think Trent takes advantage of all the people on the field better than JP. Completeing a pass to a reciever 5-10 yards further down the field than another reciever is never the wrong answer.
  11. I would say that Edwards had 29 completions to RB's and Losman had 29 completions to the RB's. But I like the distribution of passes from Trent better. 56%-WR, 24%-TE and 19%-RB. The argument was Robert Royal and his lack of productivity at the TE position. My response was Trent distributes the ball better to the TE. I would also make the argument that you want the tight end to catch more passes than the RB. If I had to guess a route run by a TE is probably 5-15 yards off the line of scrimmage while a RB would run a route of 0-10.
  12. I am surprised by the percentages. Good work here. Both QB's had roughly the same amount of playing time. There is a 40 completion difference and Edwards completed twice as many passes to the TE's. Would you attribute that to: drops by Royal, JP not throwing to the TE, JP lack of accuracy on short passes or something else?
  13. This is just my observation. I have no stats to back this up but I think Trent spreads the ball around much better than JP. I would be willing to bet TE's, RB's and WR's not named Lee Evans caught more passes when Trent was in the game. Maybe Trent just reads the defenses better but JP seems to get on the field and just look for Evans. I think our offense will be much better this year if for no other reason Tent will make defenses cover all the eligable recievers and not put all their focus on Evans. Lee will have a much better season as a result of more one on one match ups.
  14. When JP was in last year he only looked to Evans. JP sucked last year too. I understand what you are saying. The line he played behind two years ago was not good. That is why I was wondering if anyone knew out of the 50 passed caught by Royal and Gaines, how many were from Trent vs JP. My guess would be trent threw 30-35 of those completions.
  15. The book The ABS Diet has several good recipies.
  16. Weren't Anderson and Johnson out of football last year? I think Royal is being underestimated because he doesn't catch alot of passes. Last year the line got alot of credit for not surrendering as many sacks as previous seasons. A blocking tight end deserves some credit for that accomplishment. I think Royal only had 25 catches last year. Any idea how many from Edwards and how many from Losman? Also, Gaines had 25 receptions last year. I'd ask the same question. I think with Edwards at QB the TE position will have more receptions. Losman only throws to Evans and has never utilized the TE position. That is part of the problem with Losman he doesn't trust the other players to do their job. If he did he could stand in the pocket and throw the ball to were a reciever should be and let them make a play on the ball. Trent spread the ball around more last year than JP ever has.
  17. Larry Centers. Not a true fullback but that's where he was listed.
  18. Would Youboty have any trade value? Packaged with Reed or Losman? Could we get a center? I'm just asking if anyone else thinks it could happen in June.
  19. My responses are in bold after the original statements.
  20. Who would you have like to see them go after though? The best two centers in a weak draft for that position were gone by round 3 and the only real upgrade in FA was gone 15 minutes after it started.
  21. Reimersma was the last decent recieving tight end for the Bills. I think Metzalars was the best tight end they have ever had. He was a great blocker and had very reliable hands. He may have only had an 8-10 yard recieving average but he helped move the chains. I'm hoping this guy Fine could be something like that. From what I read, good blocker with good hands. I'll take that for a 4th round pick.
  22. I assumed that Whidmore had been to the island. Remember how the island would not let Michael die. My guess is the same for Ben and Whidmore. They won't try to kill each other because they can't unless they are on the island. Also, I think Desmond wasn't going on a race around the world to gain Penny's fathers approval like he told her. I think he was looking for the island for Penny's father.
  23. I gave it a B but what do I know for the second year in a row the Bills have selected the person in the 2nd round that I wanted them to get in the 1st. I was upset that they didn't get a center but they said this draft didn't have many strong prospects for that position. Maybe they felt like the centers available will not be as good as Duke Preston or Christain Gaddes(our backup centers). McGlovin, Hardy and Ellis will contribute right away. The rest will be ST players and only time will tell.
