  1. I expect the next head coach to be another person with previous experience. Mike Sherman or Mike Nolan come to mind. They have been head coaches and both are doing a good job as a coordinator.

  3. Home teams take 55% of ticket sales and opposing teams take the other 45%. Naming rights to the stadium and suites all go to the home team. That's why other owners would like to see the Bills moved and there is such an emphasis on suite sales.
  4. Jamison is good but also try Tullamore Dew and Old Middleton. Both are very good Irish Whiskey.
  5. Is that because the Jets and Dolphins have had so many other qbs or because he does that well against the Patriots?
  6. This sounds like the review they gave Jason Taylor when he was drafted. I'm not saying this is the second coming of Jason Taylor but at least let the guy get on the field before you rip him.
  7. Another thought on the Locke and Jacob thing. Jacob said to Locke, "Help Me". Ben then tried to kill Locke when he learned that Jacob told him that. Locke seems to be on a mission now to "Save the island" at the same time will he be 'helping Jacob'? Richard and Ben both seem to be surprised that Locke is so determined to carry out his new mission. Just a thought maybe Jacob is constantly skipping through time? Something will be done that someone maybe Jack, (going on the Jack/Jacob similarities) who "sacrifices" themselves for their friends and "the island". They said last night that there could only be one leader. Jack last night said maybe Locke was right. Perhaps he is skipping in time and waiting to be relieved of his new duties by Locke, the leader of the island and its people. Quick question, didn't Hurley see Jacob?
  8. One thing I found interesting about last night is how Locke said the Island was telling him information like exactly when to have Richard at a specific location. If it is the island telling him then what is Jacob doing? What is his purpose? Is Locke now convinced that Jacob is not acting in the best interst of the island?
  9. For the "unofficial" and "inflated" sack stat please let the Philadelphia Media, Vic Carruci, Sirius NFL Radio and NFL Total Access to stop using that stat. They are the sources I heard/saw report the 11.5 sack figure. I really don't care what any of the head coaches around the league say about Jason Peters. He is gone. This thread is if it is an upgrade or downgrade for next season. Peters last year was not very good and he didn't finish the season. What I will be looking for is someone who can finish the season and give up less sacks. You do bring up a good point about the running plays and he may be missed there but I think that is supposed to be Walker's strong point so we will see how he does.
  10. Protect the QB and open holes for the RB. Did I miss anything? Is a lineman supposed to do more? He didn't do a good job of protecting the QB and the line as a whole did not do a good job of opening holes for the RB.
  11. We don't really know what we have in walker at LT yet but if he can play in 14 games and give up 10 sacks or less then he will be an upgrade over Peters.
  12. I was hoping for more from this episode like why does the island time travel and how does the island move. I don't like the variable conversation. If they detonate the bomb on the magnetic field then 815 never crashes. If 815 never crashes then they never go back in time and detonate the bomb. If they don't detonate the bomb then 815 crashes. If 815 crashes then they try to detonate the bomb when they time travel. The variable conversation is flawed for this show because throughout the show they have always said you can not change the past. If it happened then it always happened that way. Also, doesn't Faraday know that you can't change things? Everything will correct itself over time. Charlie dying, Demonds journey to the island...
  13. I understand your point about the left tackle but the Bills just upgraded the interior of the o line. We finished 1-8 against the 3-4 defense. Our o line was not able to do anything against the big nt's. The Bills did nothing to resign our centers and cut one of our guards. They went out and signed 2 people who can play guard or center and drafted two more to address those positions. I think it's pretty clear where the bills felt they needed to upgrade to compete within the division. Given the poor performace of Peters last year and their confidence in their current ot's they believe these moves will make them better this year.
  14. I thought these two picks were targeted because of our inability to move the big nose tackles in the 3-4 defenses. We went 1-8 against the 3-4 last year. Great job by our front office in addressing the needs.
  15. Trading up. If we do this right we can come out of this with 6 players who could contribute right away. Getting rid of any picks in rounds 1-4 would not make sense unless you could get a proven player.
  16. The said on Sirius with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan this afternoon that the Chiefs are listening to offers for Glen Dorsey. Any takers? Would you prefer him over John Henderson or anyone available in the draft?
  17. Once again we have a divisional game in TO but as bad as this is for the Bills I think it is just as bad for Western NY. There is a significant number of Jets fans who take the trip to Buffalo for that game. WNY is going to lose out on that additional revenue too.
  18. I think Richard is not the leader because Jacob chooses the leaders. Why he has never chosed Richard is another question but I think they take someone from the outside. John and Ben were both from the outside and I assume Whidmore was too since he was the only person with an accent.
  19. If we are going to trade peters I think at least 1 first rd pick another pick and I would like to see abeameri (sp). He was their 2nd rd pick out of nd last year. He could help solve our pass rush problem.
  20. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/07/...eal-for-stroud/ Peters/Jackson are you watching what going to off season activites does for negotiations?
  21. As far as I am concerned we were beat by our line play last year on both sides of the ball. The QBs were rattled and we could not pick up a short yardage first down to save our life. Our dline could not get any pressure on opposing QBs and late in the games teams ran over us because we couldn't get off the field. What I would like to see from here until the draft is: 1) Sign Peters 2) With the #11 pick get the best available pass rusing DE 3) With our 2nd round pick draft the highest available C. 4) Best available C or DT 5) With the remaining picks get the best available at any of the following positions LB, TE, C/G, DT, or OT Is there anyone on our offensive line ouside of Peters that could start for the Patriots or Steelers? What about our defensive line? Stroud? Schobel? I loved what the Colts did last year in drafting two Centers. They solidified the interior of their line for the next several years because both players can move to guard. It all starts with the lines and we will continue to lose until we address this issue.
  22. I'm home from work and in front of the TV watching an old Lost episode. It is the episode called Catch-22. It is the episode that Desmond saves Charlie from an arrow and they find Naomi, the girl who parachuted onto the island. The flashbacks are of Desmond and his time in the monastary. On the desk of the monk who fires Desmond is a picture of that Monk and Eloise Hawking! The monk then offers him a free ride to town if he can help someone. That someone is Penny and that is how they meet. Was this monk making sure that these two met? Was he correcting the course of time? Does Desmond play a larger role than we think? So many more questions.
  23. I'm guessing that Ben lives because Jack is there to do surgery.
  24. Just a guess but perhaps there is one way to go back to the island after a person moves it. Maybe by being dead you can go back. I read somewhere that Locke killed himself. Perhaps he moves the island makes contact with everyone and kills himself just like he told them he would and that is why they are all upset. If I am right on this do you think Christian, (Jack's father) moved the island in the past? Also, what ever happened to the black guy who visited Hurley in the Nut House and Lock in PT?
  25. What would the Patriots or Steelers do? Would they cave to the player or would they make the player live up to their contract or trade them? The Patriots have let plenty of players go through the years and still been successful. The last few years the Steelers had a situation with one of the best guards in football, Alan Faneca. This year they are in the Super Bowl. The bottom line is teams are always talking and if the right offer is made then go for it. If not stick to your guns and make the player perform under their current contract. If someone make the right offer don't worry about trading "your best player". The Patriots traded "their best WR" and got two #1 draft picks for Dion Branch. The Cowboys rebuilt a franchise because they traded Herschel Walker and made some good moves on draft day. Hell we gave Jacksonville two #1 picks for Rob Johnson because the Jags were not afraid to trade what many in the NFL thought was going to be a very good qb.
