Cardinals still showing the “Hail Murray”
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I got to spend a day in St. Louis back in 1996, because my flight to Japan was delayed for 24 hours. I went to the arch and the surrounding area and would love to go back. I have no knocks against St. Louis, just the Cardinals for continually showing the play on social media for the past six months, along with Kyler Murray trademarking the name of the play and Hopkins running his mouth afterwards. The Cardinals act like they won the Superbowl with that play, but finished the season 8-8 (I think they only won two games after the Bills game) and missed the playoffs. In the history of the Cardinals franchise, their accomplishments are very few and far between, so for them to continually embellish the “Hail Murray” six months later and try to rub it in the Bills faces is insulting to the Bills (and fans) and embarrassing on their part. Why I mentioned the three cities the Cardinals played in [Chicago, St. Louis, Glendale] was not to insult those cities, but to point out that the team has been bad throughout its history which is why they had relocate as many times as they did. Say what you want about the Bills and their win/loss records over the years, the fan base has been very loyal and the team hasn’t move since it’s inception. -

IMO, there’s a big difference between celebrating heavily when a division rival has beaten you for 15 consecutive games [Patriots] and 20 consecutive games [Dolphins of the 70’s] and your team finally breaks through with a victory, compared to a team you only face once every four years. -

It’s because the Cardinals keep poking at the Bills and haven’t stopped since the play happened. I never saw any Bills player at any high/low point in team history try and trademark a play like Murray has. -

There’s a difference between making four consecutive Superbowl’s and making a great play and continually showing it six months later, especially in the offseason. The way the team [Cardinals], Murray and Hopkins have gone on about this play is like they won the Superbowl with it. Didn’t see Allen try and trademark a name off the play or see the Bills continually play it as much as I’ve seen it from the Cardinals. -

Agreed 100% This is a team that’s been in the league for over 100 years, hasn’t won anything since the 1940’s, but they want to talk smack?! Some of the Cards fans on Twitter tried being witty with “How about them four Superbowls?” Seriously?! That’s three more than the Cardinals have ever been to. -

I agree! It definitely fueled the Bills. The Cardinals always seem to ruin good talent and have always been known as the retirement home for aging NFL players. -

I agree. I hope the next time the Bills play the Cardinals that the Bills destroy them, especially for all the smack the Cardinals have been talking after last year’s game. -
Yesterday on Twitter, the Arizona Cardinals posted the infamous “Hail Murray” photo on their Twitter feed. I think it’s funny, for a team that’s been in the NFL since 1920, been in three different cities [Chicago, St. Louis, Glendale] and has only won two championships in their 101 year history (last in 1947), I can see why the Cardinals keep showing this play as the Cardinals have absolutely nothing to show for. What a joke of a franchise! They’re the retirement home of the NFL.

Brittany Spears would be a one hit wonder. WCW would win the Monday Night war over WWF. The Misfits would never reunite. -
2012 Buffalo Bills Defining Moments
Jerry Jabber replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After 17 consecutive years of bad football, let’s enjoy the good years we’re currently experiencing! I appreciate the time and effort on the subject, but I’d much rather forget those years and enjoy the present day team. Go Bills! -

Thinking Marv was setting up the team for long term success during his tenure as Bills GM. -
Rodgers Disgruntled with Packers

Hopefully he doesn’t go to the evil empire [New England]. -
Bills players you disliked
Jerry Jabber replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I blame the GM’s/coaches more than the players themselves, especially during the playoff drought era. There were a lot of terrible decisions made on players that were either drafted and/or signed. The high amount of RB’s/DB’s selected in the first round during that 17 year period was ridiculous! -
Bills sign TE Jacob Hollister

Still hoping the Bills make a real upgrade at the TE position before the start of the season. -
Maybe Merriman was a stretch, but Watt has had his share of injuries. I guess the point I was trying to make with Merriman is that Boss Hogg [Buddy Nix] was banking on Merriman returning to form, hence would solve the Bills pass rushing problems at that time. Watt played in 8 games in 2019 and finished with 4 sacks. Last season, while he did play he a full 16 games, he had 5 sacks, 52 combined tackles (36 solo). IMO, I think Watt’s best days are behind him and don’t want to see the Bills make the same mistake bringing in an aging, beat-up DE to try and fix their pass rushing issues. Nothing against Watt, always liked him as a person and player, but he’s not the dominant player that he used to be.

His production has dipped significantly in the past two seasons. IMO, it would be like when the Bills brought in Shawne Merriman. I’d have to pass.

Are you kidding me, that was hilarious!! I don’t know how many bad experiences I’ve had when I went car shopping. When I say, I had to say “no” about 30 times or more, it’s not an exaggeration. Once a salesman gets you in the door, they would say and do whatever to get you to sign. After several bad experiences, then going to Carmax, which is hassle free, I won’t go to another dealership ever again!

Vroom was my favorite. I’ve had some bad experiences while car shopping, so I thought this was hilarious!
