  1. Now that the NFL Europe has folded, it's good to see the League testing the Middle East market. Baghdad Brawlers, yeah, that has a nice ring to it. Hope Ralph sprung for Armor-all treatment on the Taurus. And thank you for the tough job you're doing. Be well and stay safe.
  2. Hey, it has to happen sometime. Of course it would be doubly sweet to beat them at their own game, with Trent picking them apart, clicking with 5 or 6 different receivers all over the field. A McKelvin pick and return for a TD, as Brady struggles in garbage time, sure wouldn't suck either. Only question is...do we run the score up on them or show some mercy?
  3. While I voted "stongly agree" with the first statement, it's not exactly true. There needs to be another category: "I am angrier about the Pats* cheating today than I was when it first came out."
  4. I agree, and I doubt you'd find a specific league rule about something like this.
  5. I've been looking at these photos over and over and over again, but I just can't quite decide. Tell you what, I'm gonna go have another look and let you guys know what I think later...
  6. I'm gonna go into a self-induced coma, and I want you guys to wake me up in 114 days.

  8. Oh sure, and I guess next you'll be telling me James Lofton goes in as a Packer!
  9. Yeah, but we don't want to short-change anyone here. I'd like to think our corners are all above average.
  10. Easy to know who Bruce really represents. Just size up the % of Bills to Redskins fans in the crowd at Canton on induction day! As to who will introduce him...I think Lori would do an admirable job.
  11. Absolutely. Reed has been making clutch catches and third down conversions for some time now. He has an important role on this team. I'd tend to agree with ax4782 about Parrish being more expendable, but I think his new contract indicates the team has other ideas. Got to believe we can find a way to use him...how can you have too much talent? I think it's possible the addition of Hardy alone may make all the difference in the world, A-because he's a threat himself, and B-because now we can let the other guys do what they do best. Turk just has to put all his weapons to their best use, and, of course, Trent has to step up and have a big year.
  12. Yes, great read. I was surprised and touched by some genuine humility expressed by Bruce, here and elsewhere, sprinkled in with the usual matter-of-fact statements about his own greatness. Nice to see him credit his teammates, Ted Cottrell, Rusty Jones and Marv Levy. I was especially gratified to hear him say he was glad his name would be up near the 12th Man. He (correctly) acknowledged the edge over his opponents the noise we made gave him in amassing his sack total. Too bad it's rarely quite that loud these days (the Dallas game showed it can still be, though). Should be a fantastic homecoming. I'm so proud one of the NFL's greatest players of all time was a Bill!!
  13. A thing of beauty. It's not only his speed which is impressive here, it's the way he changes direction while covering a lot of ground to take the perfect angle to make the block. That's pretty good instincts to go along with the ability to lower the boom...HA! A lot of folks here are pretty high on this guy, I hope he has a long and successful career. It'd be cool if he was the TE we've been waiting so long for!
  14. I laughed my willy silly when Omon wants some help and calls his old offensive coordinator from Northwest Missouri State to relate the Bills' offense to the Bearcats. "He was a little confused on it," Omon says. Yeah, so were we all, X-man...
  15. I think John Parella deserves a mention. Maybe Gary Baldinger, too. In a couple years you can add Coy Wire to the list.
  16. It's time for Sal to update the misery with Volume III.
  17. During a Dick Jauron press conference, if you drank a shot of bourbon every time he says "pretty good" and a beer after every "okay", the room would be spinning 30 seconds after the introductory "tough game out there today, coach".
  18. Uh oh, sweet pups in the moonlight, it's happening again...every year about this time, I start letting myself get sucked into believing in this team...AAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!
  19. Poor Kordell, he just never found his true niche in the NFL. I say let Jauron have him for one year and mold him into the HOF cornerback he was born to be.
  20. Won't we all be surprised when Scott Mayle gets tapped in a pinch and steps in to light things up, a la Jackson last year... ...of course, he's got to find a spot on the team to begin with.
  21. And in the AFC East to keep the P*triots honest.
