Didn't want to start a new thread on Steve Johnson again, so I figured I would rehash this old one, I would like to see him on the field, but I am thinking the reason he isn't could be related to the fact that he doesn't practice well? Maybe he isn't giving all out effort, and that could be the reason come Sunday he is in street clothes watching the game? Have any of our beat writers seen or heard anything as to why he hasn't really gotten a shot and is inactive most of the year? I figure if he were really impressing in practice that they would find a way to get him on the field, as the rest of the WR's haven't been exactly lighting things up week after week. just my $.02

There are some good points, he needs to start recruiting asap, but as mentioned by previous posters, the players have to feel like they are getting the short end of it because of their head coach bailing out on them. It's a slippery slope, and hopefully he can get ND on the right track, and hopefully the system will be reviewed, where maybe a player shouldn't have to wait a year before being able to play after transferring schools.

I think he is a good WR, and his on field antics annoy me more than the off field stuff, I got a huge kick out him sending gift baskets to the Ravens D with deodorant in them, but the poncho and sombrero bit, not funny to me at all. I voted for Kevin, because when they actually give him the chance he is hilarious, my favorite would have to be when Holly is brought into the office, and she gets told Kevin is mentally challenged, and the way he responds to everything just makes me laugh For the females I voted Meredith, she just is so off the wall with her humor, it always gets me to laugh out loud. The others would be Jim and Pam as well.

I'm not disputing that at all, I believe FJ should be the main back in the offense, not ML. It seems though the OP is looking and jumping to a conclusion, when it was mentioned by Fred that ML was still banged up from last week, and that may have also been a factor to start FJ. I just hate the speculation that he is in the doghouse, when in fact there was never a mention of it at all.

You are speculating when nothing like that was said at all during that video. Nothing was mentioned about ML, he talked about how Fred has been running the ball well and it was a gut feeling

Please tell me you are kidding, he said after the game it was a desperation move, because the offense wasn't doing anything all game long. For lack of a better term it was a hail mary on his entire coaching career, and as expected, it failed. This team has run it's course with DJ and the only way things can even begin to ever possibly get better is to fire him, and bring in a coach who has a working knowledge of the NFL and the fire and passion to hold players accountable
