  1. As have I, but his right pinky is just creepy. Gives "lineman hands" a whole new definition. Link: http://cache.deadspin.com/assets/resources...n_baldinger.jpg
  2. It'll be 1990 against the Giants. That is the closest we have come and one we easily should have won.
  3. I don't billieve anybody said it is a gimme. We all just feel the Bills just deserve more credit than they have received from some media outlets, including Peter King.
  4. They should mic him up every game, it is entirely too entertaining to even consider not doing it.
  5. Marshawn is a damn clown, it's great. Yay Area boy keepin it hyphy, you know how we do!
  6. Nice. I plan on getting a nice early start Sunday before I hop on the T and head down to the Harp. It's always good to start sunday with a good little buzz.
  7. Like I've said many times before, it's always a good time. Well, unless the Bills are @ SF or @ OAK, then we're all at the game and the Brit is a ghost town with just some local fans and a couple Pats* fans.
  8. No more Heidi? That's rather unfortunate, she always made the mornings entertaining. Glad to see Tommy is doing more to please the Bills fans, we have been loyal to him for years. There aren't always a lot of us, but we are always there and we always eat and drink more than our share. It was generally at least 2 pitchers of Newcastle Brown Ale for me, and the first one was generally gone before the end of the 1st quarter. As much fun as it is at the Harp, I still miss the Brit. There are some great fans and great people there. Even that guy Boomer with the dog(you know I hear he's a damn squid). J/K, miss you Boom, but you'll always be a damn squid in my book.
  9. That's awefully sweet of you guys, but I was much more impressed by the merciless heckling of the guy that showed up last sunday in a Tony Homo Jersey.
  10. The "Brit" is the same way, but they give priority to the Bills fans. The projector is always on the Bills game, as are several TVs inside the bar and the TV out on the patio(for the smokers). The manager Tommy has been talking for a couple seasons about replacing the single, smaller TV on the patio with two big screen HD displays. Before I left for Boston, he said they would be in by the start of the season, but I am unable to verify that. If you make it down there, tell Tommy and the hot waitress outside(Heidi) that Ian says hi.
  11. I also agree that to be really accurate with analysis and predictions, we need at least 3 weeks of action to review. I am simply making the best analysis I can based on the info I have. But as far as Senor King, where he got the idea that the Jags are that much better than the Bills baffles me. As you said, there is only 1 week of data to go on. In that 1 week, what did JAX do to show that they are 2-touchdown favorites over our Bills? If I recall correctly, they gained 189 yards(only 33 of which were rushing) and surrendered 309 yards(137 of which were rushing). The Bills D is just as solid as(if not better than) the Titans', and the running game is most definitely better that the Titans'. Where in those stats do you see a 14 point loss and giving up 30?
  12. Do we really need to go over this ish again? I have input my opinion and been subjected to the opinions of others about this exact issue on at least two other threads during training camp.
  13. Last year is last year. Both the Bills and Jags are different teams. The Jags were superbowl contenders before anybody even saw them play a game. This season, the Bills look to have taken a step forward, whereas the Jags seem to have regressed slightly. Jax failed to adequately address their glaring need for receiving talent(Jerry Porter is not a fix and he can't even stay healthy) and they lost the core of their offensive line to the injury bug. I'm not saying the Bills will win in a blowout, it's common knowledge that the Jax D is tough. We may have some problems getting the offense into a solid rhythm. But, it is a commonly held perception that games are won and lost in the trenches, along the offensive and defensive line. In this battle we win hands down, even if Peters doesn't play. I billieve Jax will have a tough time running the ball against our front four with the injuries they've sustained and have a lot of trouble protecting Garrard, which will be a big help to our DBs(who, in my opinion, already overmatch the Jaguars' receiving corps). My call is a fairly tight one: BUF 24 -JAX 17
  14. Yeah, I guess that would have to be an age moment there, I wasn't born until 1981 and didn't get into the Bills until probably 86 or 87(was a fan prior, but was not obsessed like I have been from that point)
  15. I just moved to Boston, so the Harp is my new stomping grounds, but I spent the last three seasons at the Britannia Arms. Great people there to enjoy the games with. Definitely a much smaller crowd than the harp, and much more accepting of other teams' fans, but it was always a good time. For those of you who are unfamiliar, here is the address: Britannia Arms of Cupertino 1087 S De Anza Blvd San Jose, CA Just find your way onto Hwy 85. If you're on 85 south, exit De Anza Blvd and turn left, if you're on 85 north, exit De Anza Blvd and go right. The bar is on the left no more than about 1/2 mile down. Try the Huevos Rancheros from the Breakfast menu or the Beer Battered Banger on the regular menu, bot are freaking delish. The stuffed mushrooms are great, too.
  16. That makes two of us. I'll be in the back corner by the bar in the back room, come find me and I'll buy you a blue to get you started.
  17. use the search function, i'm sure you can figure out if there is already another thread on the topic
  18. as long as you don't disguise the guy who lines up wide as part of a substitution package(i.e. sending hime on or off with a group of players and having him stop at the sideline) it is legal. In the game, Denney came out initially with the kicking team, checked in with the referee, and then went out wide by himself, not in a group heading off the field.
  19. I'm guessing you mean things vanish between them(like running games, quarterbacks and loose footballs)?
  20. I got there at about 11:10 and had to get in the back of the line that was extending to the far end of the building from the door. I'm guessing there were at least 300 people there, maybe 400.
  21. Didn't elaborate much but seemed to agree, or at least didn't dispute it.
  22. I know this is a Bills board, and I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I just have to say GO SHARKS!!! Love your avatar.
