  1. Beautiful day, so I decided to take the bike out. Rode all along River road, from the Erie canal to the foot of ferry and back.
  2. To be fair he's only been out for a year and a half. And the first few months of that he was in "sex rehab". Then he pulled a Sam Bradford and came back way too soon with an injury that you simply shouldn't rush back from. He used to lock out his left knee to create a more powerful shot. Which wore it down prematurely. Then he rushed back and made it even worse. Throw in that he has problems with his right Achilles, and it's not surprising that he isn't back yet. Golfers play competitively into their 50's, and Tiger is much better shape than all of them. Give him another few months and I think he'll be back and competitive. While I doubt he ever returns to his previous winning ways, he'll win a few more tournaments.
  3. Just to wrap up: The executive office of national grid calls me today, and after 5 1/2 months, they finally listened to the original call (they save all calls apparently). The woman on the phone sounded embarrassed, and admitted to hearing me ask twice for them to cancel the order at the first house. My account is being credited for the full amount.
  4. Alright, called NG today, they told me to shove it.... So I payed a visit to the public utilities commission, they said they would call the NG executive offices. If they still refuse to drop the charges, I have to request an informal review. So it seems to be moving in the right direction, thanks for the help guys.
  5. I asked them to not turn it on at the first place, and instead only at the second. I made the same exact call to the cable, gas, phone, etc companies. No one else had a problem with it. Every call I said the same thing, I was just changing the address at which it was being turned on. And I would be taking National grid to court to drop the charges, nothing more. Although that's what I'm here for. To see if this is something I can take them to court for. Or do I have to take another route to get this resolved. I will be calling them again tomorrow to see what can be done.
  6. Sorry in advance for the length. I had to move in January, and had an apartment all lined up. 2 weeks before moving day, the new landlord decides to give the apartment to her son (no down payment was required, so there was nothing I could do about it). I had already lined up the gas, electric, fios, etc. to be turned on at the new place before I knew I was losing the apartment. When I got another house lined up, obviously I switched all of the accounts to the new, new place. When I finally moved, all of the services were turned on with no problem. Now, 5 1/2 months later, National grid added a $481 charge to my electric bill. They turned on the electric at the first apartment, even though I wasn't living there. After 3 long calls that went around in circles, they finally told me to fill out a dispute. I did, and they promptly declined it. They say it's my fault that I didn't make sure they didn't turn on the electric at both places, and that I have to pay in full, or my electric will get cut off. Now I'm wondering what I can do to get these charges dropped. Can I take them to small claims court? And if I do, would I win? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. White throwback Evans, blue throwback Lynch, home Schobel, and away McGee for $85? sold!
  8. Never thought I'd see the day... Saw it on the bottom line on sportcenter of all places.
  9. Seeing as the Panthers would have the first crack at VY, I'm guessing they would just claim him off of waivers if they wanted him.
  10. Last time I looked at my stats, I had been killed by the RC car 91 times. More than all of the other killstreaks have killed me combined... That's why I play ground war a lot. No nuke town. I hate most of the tiny maps in Cod games. I'm having connection problems too. 90% of the time when I finish a match, the connection is lost before the next match can start. It does get annoying when I get a good game (on a 3-4 bar connection), in a lobby where I am probably the best player, then I get booted. Inevitably, the next lobby I join contains a some clan trying as hard as they possibly can, sitting corners, and talking smack the entire time. Chopper gunners/ gunships are easy to take down. Just make a class with Ghost (until you get pro) and sleight of hand, switch out your pistol for a strela 3. If you hear one is coming, switch to your anti-air class and when you respawn take it out in 5 seconds. I like to use that class when the other team is getting a lot of spy planes too. One shot and it's gone.
  11. I have the exact opposite feeling right now. There are no aspects of the game that are broken. There is no cheating. It's finally a fair fight. I go into every game knowing that the better team will win, the better player will win the gunfight. I sold MW2 after a month because of all of the BS (Danger close noob toobs, endless killstreaks, commando etc.). WAW was really fun until everyone figured out the super class (MP40 with juggernaut). Cod 4 was great, but it's hard to go back because of all of the grenade spam. IN black ops the guns are balanced and the killstreaks are balanced (even if the RC car is a bit annoying). Since there is no more stopping power, you can finally switch up your classes. Even the emblem creator is fun to mess around with.
  12. Alright, 2 days in and here are my thought on the MP so far: The maps are HUGE, definitely going to take some time to learn the best routes, and best spots. Killstreaks don't add on to one another. A predator missile used to guarantee a harrier strike. Now only kills by your gun/ equipment count towards your killstreak. This is good and bad. Good because you're not getting killed by 3 chopper gunners every match, but bad because you will be getting killed by 3 RC cars every match. The enemy team will also have a spy plane up more most of the match, so Ghost is a good perk to use in slot 1. Grenades and noobtoobs have a much smaller radius than in MW2, so they aren't as big of a problem (also no danger close). The currency system is a little weird to me. I have no idea which guns are good (most haven't been in a COD game before.). But you can't try them before you buy them. So you have to spend 2000 on a gun, and 1000 for any attachment. Pretty expensive early on. And if the gun sucks, you're SOL, that money is gone. The knife distance is pretty ridiculous IMO. It seems to be about a half commando, and as always whoever is host has a clear advantage. Pretty annoying. The dogs are back and WAY more annoying. They kill you in one hit (bite on the ankle = death?), yet they can take three blasts from my spas without dying... Speaking of the spas, the shotguns are back to their WAW uselessness. Example, yesterday I'm playing domination. Some guy is trying to cap the b flag, from roughly 4-5 feet away I hit him with a blast dead center... hit marker. Get used to hit markers if you want to use a shotgun, they are plentiful. The snipers are pretty bad (awful actually). To prevent the quickscopes from MW2, now when you zoom in, the reticule zooms in on a random spot. You have to adjust every single shot a lot more than before. Either you hardscope, or you don't snipe. The wager matches are fun, but I hate the fact that have to put up money before you know if you're on a good connection. Last night I start a match, they take my money, and I'm on a one bar... Overall, if you like COD you'll like this. But it does have it's problems.
  13. The heads of infinity ward were fired. (COD4 and MW2). Treyarch made this game and WAW. They take turns making every other game to give them a two year work cycle. IMO treyarch is a lot better at making maps and providing support after the game comes out. IW made 3 dlc packs for their last 2 games combined. Treyarch made 3 for WAW alone. And those were all new maps (unlike MW2 which used rehashed maps from COD4), and included new maps and content for zombies each time. Getting mine tonight after work, HuuugeBills for anyone on PS3.
  14. Hey! pretty nice avatar you got there, can't remember where I've seen it for the past two years...
  15. The cocks got beat... No, but seriously, they lost to Kentucky this weekend.
  16. Maybe the girlfriend was angry that she goes out to the middle of the woods for the weekend, and said boyfriend is more interested in mounting a deers head than her...
  17. Di sodium phosphate can help quicken the cooking times of certain foods. Probably good for a frozen burrito about to be cooked in a microwave. Sodium stearoyl Lactylate is a commonly used emulsifier. Found in most manufactured breads, tortillas, buns and other bread based products. "Dietary studies in rats and dogs found no effect when this additive constituted less than 2.5% of the diet." Dipotassium Phosphate is often used as a anti coagulation agent in many foods (perhaps the cheeses in your burrito). It has also shown to be able to prevent headaches in certain foods. The internet is awesome.
  18. Almost forgot the Saints, Lions, and chiefs. But got them all with 1:22 to spare.
  19. We HAVE to rebuild. When you have a lot of good players, you can replace them with smartly used draft picks as they leave your team (retirement, trades, release, etc.). McNabb is gone, plug in Kolb. Westbrook gone, plug in McCoy. T.O. gone, plug in Jackson. They have good players, and they don't mess up when they replace them. We have bad players, and replace them with more bad players.
  20. IMO OLB/ Tackle are equally awful. But given the choice, I'd prefer a great LT first.
  21. We are running a defense which we don't have the correct personnel to run, going up against one of the 5 best QB's of all time. This is about what we should expect.
  22. I was willing to give Nix and Gailey a few years to prove themselves, but if they give a 30 year old slow, nonathletic Chris Kelsay 24 million dollars to suck at OLB for years to come... I just hope this is misinformation.
