I think Bernard is a perfectly reasonable back-up for Milano... That's about it...At least right now...

2022 unanimous All American 1st team...2nd team in 2021...Captain...Academic All-Big Ten for three years...Butkus Award as top linebacker in the nation in 22, and semi-finalist in 2021... The 7th best RAS athlete at LB in the history of recording RAS...By way of comparison...Tremaine Edmunds is an excellent athlete with an excellent RAS, and he's 88th in RAS all time...And Campbell is FAR more experienced at MLB coming in, and a much more instinctive player entering the NFL. But sure...Not a 1st round talent...

Always keeping his eyes downfield too...Scrambling and looking for the kill shot...Passed the ball about a million times in College. Those were some really fun games to watch...Especially because when I watched them, I was convinced he was going to be the Bills next QB... But that's OK now...If we had not landed Josh though...Oh my...

It's a weird year...I don't have as strong convictions as I've had about individual players in the past...But I do like a lot of guys...I just don't see as many sure-fire prospects as I've seen in the past because most of these guys don't check EVERY box (ie, height, weight, speed, film, character, etc)... I have a few preferences though...Zay Flowers for sure...Love him, just wish he was a little bigger...I was 100% on the Jalin Hyatt train, especially for the Bills, but the 4.4 at the Combine actually disappointed me a bit...I do think he's a bit limited coming in, nothing he can't get better at, but I was expecting him to run in the high 4.2's to low 4.3's...On the field he runs by dudes like they are standing still...I think Addison is a real good piece to add to any Offense. But he's so skinny, and not as fast as I thought he was. Good football player though. Smith-Njigba is by far the best all around WR in this Draft, even though he's not a burner, but he should be long gone before the Bills pick. I like Quinton Johnston too...But the body catching thing is definitely an issue for a guy with his body-type advantages. I really like Jack Campbell for the Bills...As an all around high-floor guy I think Campbell is about as good as you're going to get. Darnell Wright for sure...He's a beast...I'm a Michigan fan and I would not mind if they took Mazi in the 1st...He has huge upside IMHO...I'm an unapologetic TE Darnell Washington fan, but his success will be tied into where he goes and how the team that Drafts him uses him. He's a different kind of dude at TE. And should be one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL from day 1. Day 2 and later I like Marvin Mims, Tyler Scott, Jonathan Mingo, Jayden Reed, and Andrei Iosivas at WR...Matthew Bergeron and Jaelyn Duncan, and later on Nick Saldiveri at OT...Joe Tippman at IOL...Gervon Dexter (who has massive upside...and a Chris-Jones-like rep...ie...takes some downs off), Keeanu Benton, Colby Wooden, and Zacch Pickens at DT...The Tennessee Byron Young at DE...And I'm SUPER intrigued with Zach Kuntz at TE...I'd love to see how Dorsey would work him into the Passing Offense.

Can't tell you about the board in general...But I can tell you about what I got right...And admittedly I don't get everything right. 1. I stated right here ad nauseam that Pat Mahomes was the #1 overall prospect in the 2017 Draft and was the next big thing. I said it. Meant it. And that was a grand slam HR for me... 2. Chris Jones was the best D-Lineman in the 2016 Draft and I wanted the Bills to Draft him SO much...He was my favorite player from that Draft. They took Shaq. 3. I wanted DK Metcalf at #9 overall in 2019...But when he was still available in the 2nd, and the Bills passed on him, I almost had a coronary. Some folks here were trying to tell me N'Keal Harry was a better prospect...That's still hilarious to me. 4. George Pickens was "my guy" last year. And I definitely would have taken Tariq Woolen in the 2nd. I was SUPER high on him. I liked Cook, but assumed they could get him in the 3rd... That's a few...

The Bills have had major issues with missed tackles over the past few years. Sanders missed tackle % is basically double Campbell's...He is a better edge pass rusher, but the Bills don't rush their MLB from the edge much. He's also FAR less experienced at MLB, and FAR less instinctive than Campbell... I like both players...But I prefer Campbell for the Bills...

I think Campbell is a better MLB prospect than Elam was a CB prospect tbh...Admittedly that may be just me. And I like Elam... It will all depend on how Campbell plays if given the opportunity. In Buffalo he would get PLENTY of opportunity to play. Like almost every down. If he contributed close to what Edmunds did that would be a steal at #27... I don't put much emphasis on what other internet scouts think. Most of them told me I was crazy on Twitter when I said Pat Mahomes was #1 overall in 2017, or that DK Metcalf was a top 10 pick...They also thought Chis Jones was a 2nd Round prospect in 2016 when I was saying he was the best D-Lineman in that Draft...He ended up being the 5th DT taken...So...It's all relative....Most NFL Scouts are meh...

I like both... Sanders is definitely the more explosive athlete...He's a better Pass Rusher...But give me Cpt Jack...I'm just a fan. He's cerebral. Whatever he lacks (and that's not much, his RAS is elite) he's going to make up for it with instincts, smarts, and he's a leader... I think all things considered Campbell is just about best-case-scenario to replace Edmunds. You get a young guy with a great size, smarts, intangibles...A team Captain...And when you're trying to win a SB that's a big win...

I forgot when I wrote this that Campbell is training with Luke Kuechly. So McD already has that scoop. Campbell and Kuechly are very similar RAS athletes.. Like really similar...

Is it just me, or do the Bills seem oddly disinterested at replacing Tremaine in Free Agency? I wonder if these 2 LB's have anything to do with that? Because the way it's looking, both may be available at 27... Campbell is a RAS All-Star (9.98)...The 3rd highest RAS at LB from 2020 on! Simpson is the 11th best RAS (9.83) in that same time period. Both are players you just have to believe McD will want. I think it all depends on how much the Bills continue to value overall roster strength, in lieu of concentrating on building the Offense almost exclusively this Draft. Because the answer at MLB for the Bills will very likely be available at 27...I did not think they would do it. But the way they have addressed it in Free Agency has forced me to hedge a bit. We'll see soon enough I guess...

I think Flowers is a 1st round talent for sure...He's getting dinged on size, and only size. Admittedly he's not a big WR. But if the Bills Drafted him at #27, I'd be excited...He's dynamic in the open field. Very quick and elusive. I could care less about his size. He plays like he knows he's the best guy out there. What we've seen Waddle and Wilson do, Flowers will do as well if you get him into space. I'm not sure there is a single player that has grown on me more than Zay in this Draft. The more I think about him, the more I want the Bills to land him. I was all Jalin Hyatt early...But Flowers is right there with Hyatt for me now. They are both home run pieces. But Flowers is the more versatile...at least right now. I could see Downs going to a team like KC late in the 1st...I doubt Downs gets past Carolina at #39...

Though I want nothing to do with trading any picks for a vet RB, I have to admit to being SO curious how Henry would fare on an Offense that teams are almost forced to Defend Pass 1st...I mean...Josh Allen is still the Bills QB...Henry would be in completely foreign territory. And I'm not saying he would fit. But it sure as heck would be interesting to see play out.

This better not be true... Understanding talent evaluation at each position in the current Draft, and being able to utilize advantages, is a HUGE part of building a roster with a massive QB cap hit. The Bills better not trade Draft resources for a RB...That would be terrible asset management this off-season. Depending on the Scout(s) there should be somewhere between 15-17 RB's with a 5th Round or better grade in this Draft... Realizing different Scouting services will have varying results, the #17 RB in this Draft is about 2 rounds higher in overall ranking than the #17 RB from the 2021 Draft, and about 20 spots higher than last year, which was another decent RB class. What generally happens nowadays in deep RB Drafts? Players like Pacheco get pushed WAY down the board to high-value spots. The Bills need to forget about any vet RB's not nicknamed Motor (and he'll have to compete for a spot anyway), and Draft one on Day 3 to get those 4 years of Rookie salary. They'll also get a very good player. At least the chances are very good in this Draft.

I agree...If they want to bring him in for next to nothing, fine...But based on the way he's played, he would be hard pressed to beat out who we already have there. Though anything is possible I guess.

If the Bills end up with David, even if it's just for a year, that's all they need right now. It's perfect. Lets them push back the calendar one year at MLB, while bringing in a SB Champion caliber veteran teammate. It fits...

I can be as negative as anyone concerning the Bills (at times) over the past few years. But let's not get it too twisted...The Bills were their own worst enemy last year in numerous ways. They lost 3 regular season games by a total of 8 points. One was possibly the craziest game I've ever watched because it brought real potential heat stroke drama...Another was whatever the heck you call that debacle vs. Minnesota. The Bills are a SB caliber team, and quite possibly the best team in the NFL when they are clicking fundamentally. When they properly execute what is called, they are very good. And they have the potential to throw up a LOT of points fast against almost any Defense...Nothing these other teams in the AFC East do equals Josh Allen...Nothing...If the Bills do right around Josh, they'll always be ahead with Josh. And there is nothing that is currently wrong with the Bills that is not fixable with a great off season...
