Dorsey again with no answers on 1st down... Just no consistency to pick up easy yards on 1st... -
NY Giants @ Buffalo Bills - SNF 1st half game thread

Outside of the Miami game we have two 1st quarter TD's...Both late in the 1st...Vs the Raiders with 4:19 left and vs Washington with :41 left in the 1st quarter. So, in the other 4 games it's been a little slow out of the gates. But I think the slow starts are more indicative of the periodic slog this Offense is capable of. They came out tonight and ran it out of the shotgun again for a couple yards on 1st down twice. 1st downs are absolutely killing this Offense... -

The way this team got up for Miami...Came out on fire... And the way they play against almost everyone else. Especially the early-in-the-game sleepwalking... it's really apparent. Like night and day... -

Good grief... -
I don't know...I don't think it's as much bad energy as it is the reality of the situation, and the feeling like we've been here...some of us for decades...in one way or the other. The Bills started the Miami game with basically one player down and he was likely rested due (in part at least) to his age. In 2 short weeks they are a walking NFL infirmary on Defense, and you don't replace players like Tre, Milano, and Jones easily. I think the doom and gloom is absolutely warranted today... We'll see what it's like a week from now. It will get better. The Bills are still a really good team. But they got punched in the mouth today and came out limping pretty bad. We'll see.

All this is in indicative of is how close the Bills were to winning this game. It's a couple yards... That's it... But in the NFL it's that hard to execute at times. So many factors. I can live with both of those passes. One is a HUGE gain, and the other 9 times out of 10 that DB does not strip Diggs.

Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??

McD all but admitted they blew it in his post game. He said they'll look at everything if they have to go back again, but followed it right up by basically saying the Bills lacked energy early on and it cost them big time. The first thing he mentioned in his presser was coming out cold on Offense. Coupled with the fact that they were already at a disadvantage playing a team that got back to back games there. And it's pretty easy to see how this blew up on them. I kept hearing all week about how the Jags may have the disadvantage because they're not sleeping in their own beds at home. OK... These are (mostly) 20 something athletes, it's only 2 weeks, and I'm about 100% positive they had good beds over there. The entire strategy is wrapped around handling acclimation after a long flight and time change. That's it. Based on the result. They blew it. Because this game was VERY winnable, injuries or not. But if you're just a tick off in the NFL it matters. Everyone has talent. -
Just terrible. Wasted opportunity. Again... Such a Billsy loss...

Gambled and lost.. Feels like we did not have a chance at all on that 3rd down
-
Somebody undercut the pass to Elam's man please
-
Shakir freezing like he saw a ghost. Every player we face on every offense just side steps that and walks into the endzone.
-
It's so incredible slow though... Every time I see it I fell like it's running in slow motion...I understand it's a draw. But it always looks like they get massive penetration up the middle and Cook is so flat footed there's no where to go.
-
Are you kidding me???? The draw that NEVER works... Again?

Under the circumstances the D did as well as anyone could expect in this game. Gave our Offense chance after chance to make a game of this. Embarrassing effort by the Bills Offense and Dorsey. We needed the Offense to step up in this game. The injuries on Defense are almost laughable (to keep from crying) they are so bad. And not being able to score more than 7 points with 7 mins left in the 4th quarter is a complete joke. This Offense is feast or complete famine... And they have fixed nothing, because when they get punched in the face they still crumble...
-
They're just picking on Elam now
-
Another game that despite massive...just terrible luck...is SO winnable... This feels like every Bills loss last year... Just no breaks... Like nothing... Josh throws that ball 2 more yards and it's 6... Just nothing goes right...

Literally threw Elam down by pushing his face...

Gabe killed that drive dead

We seriously cannot draw up anything for an easy 5-7 on 1st down? Nothing? -

We just need on good TD drive to calm things down... Everyone is pressing. The Jags are attacking the line on Defense and that should open some things up. Bills have not adjusted to that and the Jags have tackled well so far. -

If this Offense ever fixes 1st down we may never punt again... But right now...it's a problem... -
I've been a Bills fan for over 50 years now. That will easily go down as one of my favorite regular season games ever... Easily... What a game! GO BILLS!!!
