  1. First let me say if they take Jonah ahead of Jaawan Taylor I would be a little more than massively irritated... But honestly I'm assuming Taylor goes somewhere 1-8... That being said...If he's there...It's going to be DK...? I really have no idea...Just trying to think this thing into reality...?
  2. Very true... But Edmunds and Milano is pretty damn good already, and the snaps after them at pure LB fall off dramatically...?
  3. That's the problem with LB... Zo took the 3rd most snaps at LB in 2018, played on most every sure Passing Down, and still only played 62% of the snaps...So even AFTER Zo retires you're talking about pushing either your top 10 pick, or Milano to under 65% of the snaps per year? I don't know?...?
  4. There's a chance if he gets to #9...Even though I'm 100% against another 1st Rd LB, there is a chance... I just doubt he gets to #9... We'll see though...?
  5. I'll be watching The Draft Network's Live Twitter Stream this year with the NFL Network on the TV... Really looking forward to TDN's coverage though...Joe Marino will be on so you know the Bills will get some love...?
  6. Right... For his sake I REALLY wish he had come out after 2017...It sucks he's in this situation now because the kid was at the top of the world not too long ago... If he does rehab well and regain form someone will get a nice steal...But the knee has me really worried and he did get a decent amount of mileage in College...Plus there are just SO many good RB's in this Draft that could go in that Rds 4-5 area...?
  7. I really like a ton of this...DK and Wilkins especially...So I don't want to seam nitpicky...? But...? Bryce Love at #137? He may not get Drafted with that knee...And there are SO many RB's I would take over him in that area of the Draft! Most specifically Devine Ozigbo and Justice Hill...I think Love is going to get pushed down in this Draft big time due to the depth at RB... But otherwise...I like it!!!...?
  8. Well...This may sound weird, but if the Bills do pick DK I really don't think it's going to be about what they need at all, nor do I think it should be... It's going to be about picking a WR they see as the next big thing...A guy who will be a Top 5 NFL WR for many years to come once he learns the Offense, and gets a year or two under his belt...I know that can be debated ad nauseum...But that's why they would do it... There's no way the Bills make this pick (DK) at #9 with 2019 in mind...He's only a redshirt Soph...Those who point to his lack of College production are not completely wrong...He's nowhere near a finished product...If the Bills pick Metcalf it's because they see him as a dominate #1 WR in the future...A player, like Josh and Tremaine last year, who is a top tier natural athlete with elite size/speed... It's massive gamble...Kind of like #17...But if it pays off...Oh my...?
  9. I don't know about bold...But... Murray, Bosa, Williams, Allen, White, Oliver, Hock, and Taylor (not in that order necessarily) go 1-8... The Bills take DK at #9... TBD explodes...?
  10. Well... I've pretty much kept it to myself...1) Because I generally don't like the idea...and...2) Because I don't want to be flamed to death...?...But if they can get away with only giving up a 3rd, or preferably a 4th, don't be surprised if they go up a few spots to get him...Assuming he's really the guy they covet...And I know that is a BIG assumption...But there is at least some smoke out there that a couple teams are so desperate to trade down the cost is dropping... I'm not in favor of this necessarily...Just saying I would not be surprised at all...?
  11. Did not read back on all pages to see if anyone actually listened to the pod...But I took the time this afternoon to do exactly that... First part that was interesting...They actually mocked DK to the Giants at #6...Part of that was due to Benoit suggesting WR for pretty much EVERY team from #1 overall on (and I'm not kidding...He really did not know a ton about DK...It was more about his perceived team needs...But good grief...)...I think Gramling just got tired of hearing him suggest WR for every team and finally allowed DK to be mocked to NY at #6... Anyway...When he got to the Bills pick Gramling stopped...Stated very matter of fact the Bills are going to take DK..."That's all...that's all I want to say"..."It's not only about the need"...He cited the Jonathan Jones SI article (Benoit comments that there is a Carolina connection to Jones...Ex Charlotte Observer writer) and says DK is "this reserved, devoutly religious guy, and he very much fits into that culture they have there..." I obviously have no idea...But it certainly sounded like Gramling knew/was told something...I listened to the mock from 1-9 and the Bills are the only team he made that type of statement about...?
  12. No one is leaving out facts...We watch the games too...We know... Don't get me wrong...I absolutely understand the Bills need to improve on D...Especially on the D-Line...No question... This was more about a response to a poster who was going completely over the top about Drafting D for need...And while I understand the Bills D needs to improve, I also think it's a bit of a stretch to assume a massive fallout without a D-Lineman at #9...And especially considering I'm assuming the names the Bills will have to choose from will be Burns, Wilkins, and Sweat not Q Williams and Bosa...The only wildcard IMHO is Ed Oliver...I still think he goes top 8, but if the Bills were to take him over Metcalf I would understand...?
  13. Agreed... I really don't go out on a limb for more than 1 or two prospects in a specific Draft...I've been a Metcalf fan for a while now and as soon as I heard he'd be 100% cleared medically I knew he would be my guy this year...I was honestly worried he would do pretty much exactly what he did at the Combine because I feared he would move himself into the top 8 easily (thank God for those pesky cone drills...?)...I see numerous skills and attributes that should transfer over to an elite level player once he learns an Offense... I think the kid is really, really special...But we'll see I guess...?
  14. I see what you're saying...I don't disagree...All I'm saying is that put in the same position the comparisons could be more legit, but it's impossible to compare because of DK's path to the NFL... But I would be more than happy to concede that DK should never be compared to Megatron, who may very well have been my 2nd favorite prospect ever (behind Mahomes), if Bills fans would simply concede DK is a real, legit possibility at #9...? Fair enough... But so was just about everyone with at least one working eye...? Sorry...I had to...?
  15. Well...You seem to be assuming the #3 Defense in the league last year and the #2 passing D is going to have some kind of massive drop-off because they lost a DT who was definitely a good player, but well past his prime...Despite adding some REAL nice depth at CB already as well...And 9 picks after #9 to help fill the holes... Yes the Bills need to upgrade their D-line...But they are not building for 2019 alone in this Draft...They are trying to build a Championship calibre team...And you don't do that by passing better players for need...If the player and need line up...Then great...So...If Bosa or Williams slide and they still take DK, I think you'll have a legit point...
  16. Well...I could really care less what anyone says...I'll trust my eyes anyday...I watched every single play of Pat Mahomes College career, told everyone who would listen he should go #1 overall..Many, many, many NFL scouts and pundits disagreed with me...Who cares? I trust what I see... What I see with DK is not something you are ever going to gather by looking at a stat sheet or route chart...He's a Red Shirt Soph...He had to push his way into a STACKED Depth chart...He had to play a role with average to less QB play...And yes he got hurt... But on the field just watch the kid and what he can do already at this VERY early time in his development...He EATS the cushion in what seems like 2 steps...He is REAL physical but has the potential to be more physical with seasoning...He has the type of physical package to be the best Run blocking WR in the league..He can be nasty when he want to be...He does not make the same mistake twice...He understands how to use his body and set up CB's even this early...He'll get WAY better at it...And physically he, like Edwards and Allen last year, is not only top of his class but in elite company in the entire league...Plus the kid is a real hard worker and a good citizen... There are plenty of ways it could go wrong with DK, but football people do not think that way as much as many think...They look at the upside and say "we can get him there." I don't think the Megatron comparisons are really that out-of-line, though I totally understand Johnson was a better prospect coming out...But their College careers were apples to oranges...And there's no telling what DK could have done in a different situation or Offense... What does that matter? Beane has told you a million times already he's not going to Draft for need...The Bills are not a SB contending team yet...They are young and developing...If they think DK is the best player it's done deal...regardless of what they need...They will look to add later on...Not saying that will work...Just saying...Beane said it in his Presser the other day...They do not feel thay have a glaring hole, they will take the best player regardless...He even said he knew some people may be surprised with the pick but he's telling us now what they are going to do... The only players that really matter need-wise will more than likely be gone before the Bills pick...It's really not that hard to believe the Bills will prefer DK to Brian Burns, Ed Oliver, and one of the TE's...It's really not...Now...If they take DK ahead of Q Williams or Bosa then sure...You have a legit point...
  17. Well... That would make me a very, very happy Bills Fan... I totally get why DK scares some...I really do...But with Metcalf you are getting a player that, if developed properly, could be the best at his position in the entire league in 2-3 years... Look at what the Bills did with Robert Foster in less than a full Season...DK's upside is limitless...Who is going to want to cover this guy?...Big, powerful, under 4.4 speed, can jump through the roof and pluck it, can be VERY physical if he needs to, or just flat out run by you and your 10 yd cushion...Plus he's just a baby...He's no where even close to be a finished product yet...He's barely scratched the surface... I've been all in on DK since long before the Combine...I would take him at #1 overall if I had that pick...It's absolutely a gamble...But if it pays off you're going to have a top 3 NFL WR...When Joe Mario was doing his ceiling/floor recently he set Metcalf's floor at Braylon Edwards, but his ceiling? Calvin Johnson...I'm taking that chance...?
  18. I hear ya Rico...And how are you my friend? It's Draft season so I know you're OK...? I'm not a big fan of TE at #9 either...And I've been a little more of a Fant guy than Hock anyway...Though I like both...I like a LOT of prospects in this Draft...But for me it's a like Draft...Not a love Draft... Just not a fan of Trading up...Almost ever...I get it for a QB...Or later on in the Draft when you don't have to give up nearly as much...But this high, you're going to pay a premium I'm unwilling to dish out for any single player, especially in this Draft...Williams is a great prospect...He really is...But Trevor Lawrence did not seem overly distracted.... Plus, I once knew a DT from Alabama who showed up at the Combine at 319 lbs and was widely considered the next great thing on the interior D-Line...His Sports Science stint broke records...He was an amazing athlete for his size...His negatives in one Scouting Report read like this..."Hard to find flaws in this guy's game. Some have him pegged as a 3-4 defensive end but we don't feel he's at his best as a two-gap defensive lineman. Played in a defensive line rotation for much of his college career and is still developing in-game stamina..." That's it!...He was EXPLOSIVE at 319!!! An absolute beast... Then he went on to pile up suspensions like he was piling up chicken wings on the way to pushing 350...So...All I'm saying is you never really know...And if you never really know why the hell give up what it would take to get up there and get anyone?...We don't need a QB anymore...I'm done with the 1st Round Trade ups for now...And #40 is VERY valuable in this Draft...I know this Draft...I really do...There is going to be some real good talent available in the 2nd...And I'm pretty sure I'd take what we can get at #9 and #40 over any single prospect we can get at #5...I like Bosa, Williams, Allen, etc...They are all very good prospects...But I don't like any of them as much as I liked Clowney or Garrett and I really did not love Clowney that much...I don't think ANY of these guys are elite...None of them...Very good? Absolutely...But elite? Not so much...And maybe that's just me? The only prospect in the Draft I feel will be an elite NFL player is DK...And even with him I think that's at least a couple years out... And that's all I have to say about that!...??
  19. They probably loved the Sammy trade too...?
  20. I would be monumentally pissed if Beane did this... Like...Massively pissed...?
  21. Yep... Don't care if I'm in the minority or not...I have DK as a Top 5 talent in this Draft...When he comes into his own I think he'll be a Top 5 NFL WR... I don't think there will be another prospect available at #9 with his upside... But we'll see...I've been wrong before... Once... ?
  22. I'd run up with that DK card...?
  23. Buh bye and good freaking riddance... Could not happen soon enough...?
  24. I like Wilkins...I'm not sure I like him at #9...But I like him... I would absolutely HATE that Mock though...It's freaking awful...?
