  1. What business is it of yours, what he's doing there. You stalking him?

I have never heard more whimy positions on this board before. Is RB your man?

Remember all the years of Ralph approving the first round draft choice, remember guys getting cut because of Ralph;s input

Remember Polian and John Butler quitting because of Ralphs interference in football matters.

Now Brandon, a marketing guy is involved in selection of players...and you no concerns...there is not elbows to rub here, only football people. Having to be there to learn is scary, he is suppose to learn on the way up not once you reach the top.

leave football decisions to football people

  2. This concerns me a lot. He wouldn't know the difference between a football player to his secretary if it wasn't for the dress. (assuming no cross dressing).

He should not been involved in player decisions or selections. If he does then he becomes Ralph 2 and here we go again.

I am sure that Buddy, Doug and the coaching staff do not get involved in the picking commercials or business partners so Brandon should keep out of player decisions. IMHO.

  3. Get a capologist in and get rid of cap to cash and amortize bonuses and magically instead of 20 million under cap we would have about 25 to 30 million to play with. That is if we wanted to max our abilkity to get top nothch free agents in.

Agreed. Can you imagine how bad this organization is at evaluating players. No playoffs in 13 years, which means we do not have enough talented players, yet we have over paid for those on the team. The NFL Players Association must love us.
  4. First and foremost, I like this guy. He has made a couple key plays, especially in the red, that have hugely helped our offense. Sadly, he has also flubbed some passes right into his hands.

Is he really the best TE out there to run routes? He's obviously a decent blocker, but he's very unreliable. If we still have RF, or even a new QB next season, the more reliable and open receivers on the field, the better. I just don't know if we can classify Scott Chandler reliable.

Is it not time for you to change your name? Chan hasn't even got a job so he cannot be fired...
  5. I agree. I think Spiller proved last season that he's the future at running back. Am I happy to have Freddy back? Hell yes, especially if he can return to form from two seasons ago. But he's going to be 32 by next season, and keeps getting hurt. He said he was ready to go last season as well, and it didn't appear to be true,

Still, if Marrone and Hackett have half a brain between them (which apparently Chan didn't), they'll be spending the offseason drawing up plays where they can use both Spiller and Jackson well together.

OK , Chan says it is time for the subject to change...it is Cj's turn
  6. Why didn't Ginn look to pitch back the ball on his last return. There was no time left!

Because Ginn ius a selfess bum, always has been in college and even in the NFL..

He is also afraid and unwilling to give himself up for the team, he wanted to go down on that play so fast so he didn't get hurt. He is a waste of a uniform.

  7. That is the reason the Bills have been held back for years. Fans and ownership like these guys...

Jim Kelly what was so good about this guy? Could he win a big game? NO. Did he lead his team to 4 superbowls in a row? No. I think Frank Reich had something to do with that. Outside of Jim Kellys one chance to win a superbowl, curse u scotty norwood... Jim Kelly couldnt perform in a big game. And when the score wasnt close... 'oh no jim is down, his leg what a surprise' Jim Kelly could have been good.. but he wasn't. Even Jim Haubaugh punched him because Jim Kelly was a fool.. thats sad.

Jim Kelly to us Bills fans is just a name. He is the best QB we ever had! I get it... but in the group of "0 superbowl rings in a bills uniform" the names Kelly, Edwards, losman, and Fitzpatrick are linked together as "Bills qb's that havent won a superbowl"

I get Kelly shoulda won 1 superbowl.. i get that. But it didnt happen, and Bills fans have been suffering for many years

Dont you wanna see a championship trophy in Buffalo? Move on from Kellyera... find/groom superbowl winning players

People are excited to hear Boomer talk about the Bills! but are too dumb to see "nobody circles the wagon likes the buffalo bills" as an insult! Let get on board with winning, not happy we circle success

Any body else want a good football team?

Like I said, you are either 13 years old or dumber than a brick.
  8. Keep in mind NiagaraBill was one of the few people that voted Yes in the "Should we trade Mario for Skelton?" poll, and was serious about it.

Absolutely...Mario is a cancer...his effort is harmful to the team. I would trade him for a bag of balls to get out of the contract. Huge mistake. and to think you publicly said youy would keep him...shamful. You obviously pick players by news reputation, stats often lie.
  9. I was no fan of him, but the level of hatred for the man among most Bills fans in incredible to me. We've seen far worse before and after him at HC. He is a very good defensive coordinator, just not a great head man.

Maybe if he blubbered a little and told Bills fans that he loved them things would be different.

You could not have posssibly been in the stands during his 4 years. Anyone who was there saw his actions (or lack of), his head down crap, his lack of emotion in an emotional sport. He failed to inspire. Tactics maybe something he can do, knowledge he has, , he is respectful but he cannot lead. Head Coaches Lead

  10. Certainly the drafting of Nassib along with Marrone would be a huge worry. I am not getting on this bandwagon for a long time. I broke both legs jumping off with Donahoe, Greggo, Marv, Dick, Gailly et al and I cannot risk another fracture

  11. The weakest position on the Bills is LB and we have no possibility of adding that many LB is one off season.

Other than Bradham, there are no LB's on the roster that I would would keep.

Sheppard....cannot stop the run and has not advanced

Barrnet is done as a starter

Moats is not a true backer, a tweener who has a place on the team but not as a starter

    Merriman....done

Too big a change to go to a 3-4 in one year

  12. Historically the Bills have hired staff, signed players and made decisions based on the need to sell tickets.

Sometimes those decisions have worked out on the field as well....jim Kelly as a positive example, Mario Williams as a typically bad example,

Often we have allowed money to be the deciding factors, sign Dick Jauron because he works cheap...fired Wade and not pay him...Sign Grego on the cheap...

Does anyone ever remember some of those assistant coaches,,,wow...terrible, Ronny Jones....hired by inexperienced head coaches.

This time we have hired a head coach based on both.... Marketing (Brandon's history) and cheapness.

Will Marrone be successful, chance are as history has shown...NO, he cannot even be seen to be a success at Syracuse (8-5).

No way he can be considered the equal to Harbaugh, Pete Carrol, or even Chip Kelly.

He has not even demonstrated the knowledge of the skills of the game...or the ability to put together a professional staff.

This smells like the same ol' same ol'.

What do you think, has anything changed.????

  13. We have at least two special circumstances that have to be addressed in a new coach. Of course we want a good leader, and overall football guy. But wait. We just don't have a losing team. We have a "culture of losing". If you will, a "mentality of expecting to lose, and being losers", that must be overcome by a new head coach. It's not simply poor players, and poor coaching, and a matter of upgrading both. We need a head coach who brings with him a "degree of instant respectability" that players will "buy into". We must have a coach who expects to win because he is a winner. In that regard, names like Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Cowher make alot of sense. But those guys won't come to Buffalo, and besides they claim they are retired from coaching. The second thing we need in a head coach, given the fact that we must draft 1-2 QB's, is a guy that will properly develope a system for these new guys. In that sense, Lovie Smith, a great defensive minded coach, would not work for us. So who is out there that would bring instant respect, is a proven winner, and can develope a system that would bring young QB's along ? Mike Holgrem. I don't think that there is anyone else out there who brings the aforestated to the table. Hiring him makes the best sense, since he says he wants to return, is out of a job, is a proven Super Bowl winner (3 rings, two as San Fran offensive coordinator, one as head coach Green Bay) might see Buffalo as a challenge, developed QB's Steve Young, and Brett Farve and is likely going to be overlooked by other searches. If he could fall to us, it just might be the answer for our team.

..Holmgren left Green Bay for a reason...they wanted him out and both Seattle and Cleveland did not improve. He is way over rated and fits the mold of all the Bills hires... He is the worst case for the Bills

  14. Whisenhut and Horton...

Arizona was a loser club, poor personnel decisions, unmotivated, 12 losses...the team quit on their coaches.. seems a copy of what we have...and Arizona sure has NO history of winning and high quality organization.

Whisenhut comes from being buried in Pitt and other than catching lightning in a bottle one time has failed to motivate and improve the team...and Horton has done nothing...We didn't like Wade who is a far superior D coach than Horton so what makes anyone think he can be a head coach. He is 52 and over the hill. This is 2013 not 1993. Times have changed.

Even Gailly had better years in Dallas...and the league has passed him by.

I am not capable of hiring the coach but please Russ Brandon...pick someone with passion who can motivate a team and develop players. These 2 guys have proved they cannot.

Tebow wants out of NY. Marc Trestman, a coach we wanted to interview 3 years ago for the Bills HC job, thinks Tebow can still be great. Trestman's team, the Montreal Alouettes, hold Tebow's CFL rights. So how about the Bills firing Chan and hiring Trestman, who brings in Tebow?

(fyi: I'm intrigued by Trestman but not in favor of Tebow.)

    PTR

Lets recreate history ...Marv came from Montreal Als...now if we can find a young GM (ala Polian) and draft a QB we are off to the SuperBowl

  16. When Chan and Buddy inherited this team it was a mess. There was very little talent. Buddy has done a good job getting talent and depth. We are not where we need to be yet but we are much better off from 3 years with Buddy than we were with any GM between Butler and Buddy. Now we are missing a couple pieces. We need to keep signing our home grown talent and get the franchise QB we need. In my opinion Chan has half of next year to show me that we are not going to keep this losing cycle. I don't think you change after this year. This is my 2 cents have fun telling me I am wrong.

You could not have possibly have watched last weeks game and make this statement!

I am not a talent evaluator...but I can judge coaching and this team is poorly coached, schemed and motivated.

Sticking with Fitz for our offense has told them the coach does not want to win...

Wannstadt has taken decent talent and been out coached almost every week.

  17. Gailey said this:

"They were bringing the safety off the edge and he could have thrown the ball outside to Stevie, but the guy had him pressed up. He ended up instead of taking a timeout or taking a delay, he ran the ball where the ball was supposed to be run by the blocking scheme. He really just kept it into that hole to try to salvage a bad play and let us play the next down."

Meaning the run was called, the alternative was the quick pass to Stevie, neither were a good call and rather than call a timeout or take a delay he ran the sneak.

So...Seattle had the perfect defence...why do they not play that each down...you cannot pass against it, you cannot run without a fumble...

I thought Chan and Harvard boy were so smart they could out think everyone...all you have to do as a D it seems is stand in those positions...our guys cannot block them, Pete Carroll has found the perfect Defense...

this explanation by both Chan and Fitz is the biggest case of BS I have ever heard...They are ill prepared....

Wanny should change to the same defense if it is so good...

  18. Is it just me or were there a bunch of really weird calls in the Pats Niners game? Followed up of course with some long wordy and ultimately incomprehensible explanations by Ed Hochuli. The one that really baffled me was when Brady was almost sacked in the 1st half and ended up releasing the ball in an incomplete pass. The pass was a lateral if not slightly backward so it should have been a fumble? Hochuli comes up with some convoluted explanation that because Brady was hit while throwing and he intended to throw it forward (how the hell would Ed know that) it was an incomplete forward pass. But the defender doesnt hit the ball just Brady so how was it not a lateral? and therefore a fumble? Or was this the usual refs helping the Pats BS? And why wasnt it challenged?

he asked Tom and Bill and they said they intended to throw a forward pass so what else do you need to know.

With his same logic...why did he not say the 49ers fumble didn't count because the player did not intend to fumble...
