+1 I think Saban drafting Joe D and McKenzie helped OJ out a little. When Rauch was coach, the OL (and everything else) was rock bottom horrible.

This era of running QB's doesn't seem to get hit as much. If the QB keeps it on the read option, more often than not he runs out of bounds. How many times more did Kap get hit than a normal QB does? LB's will be at a super premium. You need guys big enough to take on blockers, can run down a running QB, and cover Gronkowski. Pretty tall order.

OJ was there when I was a kid, and he is the greatest running back I've ever seen, bar none. But I still feel that he should not be on the wall.

Brandon is hiring the next coach not Buddy. Whaley's involvement in the coaching search would lead me to belive that Buddy gets some nebulous, Modrak-like role once the draft is over. No established HC would want to come to Buffalo if Buddy was truly "in charge". I think Russ knows that. If some old Pittsburgh guy gets the job (Wiz, Horton, Arians, or even Grimm) that would signal that Whaley is going to move up the food chain fast.

I can see both sides of the argument. The proof will be in what they do, not what they say.
