This whole discussion just leads to the fact that it really doesnt matter where we buy our gas, but we buy too much of it as it is. I'm not sure what the numbers are but Americans are more dependant on oil than any other nation in the world by an astonishing amount!
I thought this site was amusing if not disturdbing at the same time. Most people on here probably hate the type of stuff on this site but the "Detroit Project" is an interesting premise.
I saw two different stations in the past few days doing stories on the cost of gas. In both, they asked SUV drivers what they thought. They all disliked the cost of gas, but said they were not giving up their SUV's.

Depends on where you're sitting.

15 posts and no one suggested he try Google?

I like the keys idea that shismspikes51 had in that thread. I can't see the Bills not allowing people to bring their keys into the stadium.

Can a Tivo be used on Time Warners standard cable, ie no digital channels, no movie channels, basically the channels I can get without using a cable box. My future father-in-law is giving us a Tivo with lifetime subscription and I'm wondering if I can use it without too much trouble.

What kind of data? The number of unwed mothers in the area that are still having more children?

Does it look like any of these units?

Right in front of me though near the end of the show, this shirtless black guy jumped out from behind the stage and was started playing air guitar on a broom. I thought it was one of the Black Eyed Peas!
Mick was all the way down the left runway, and this guy started moving closer to him till security grabbed him & threw him off!
Was it R. Rich? Maybe that's why he needs surgery now.

If you're getting no beeps at all, it's probably either the cpu or system board.

Maybe he meant "blocks of season tickets". Like each player is responsible for selling so many blocks of season tickets this year.

I've brought in my clear backpack before. Didn't have it with me last night though. What I do is take it off as I approach the gate and hold it out towards the security guard. They have either just did a glance at it, or grab it and turn it around to look at each side. None have actually opened it to paw through it. Only once, in the several years I had it, has a guard made a comment about it being a backpack, but they still let it in when I replied that it was my "clear bag smaller than 12x12x12."
In all the years I've brought a bag in, any bag, I've always done the same routine of holding it out towards security. If it's not a clear bag I have it open for them to look into. Never have they told me to take it back to my vehicle.

The bar code system with Ticketmaster has been around for a couple of years at least, so it's really nothing new. First time I saw it in use was in December of 2002 at a Peter Gabriel concert in Toronto. Just new for the Bills with the ticket office using Ticketmaster.

Unless of course you take a two week vacation. On many weekends many of the favorites win. On some of them the underdogs rally. You pick by looking at scouting and injury reports, someone else picks based on the colors of the teams. If those people do better than you in a given week should we not be allowed to pick based on colors, because that person isn't putting the "thought" into it that you are? Will someone who manually just picks the favorites every week have an unfair "advantage?" If that's how someone wants to play the game, why not allow an automatic means to do it? It's not like the computer is able to look up the final scores of this coming weekend's game, it's not doing voodoo algebra, it's simply picking either the favorites, 'dogs, home or away teams based on your preferences...
I work out my "schemes" too. Sometimes they work, most of the time they crap out. Sometimes I think "well, I could have just picked the favorites and done better." Oh, well, I didn't. It's not someone else's fault that they did just have the computer pick the favorites, it's my fault for having a crappy "scheme". Oh, well...on to the next "scheme."
Before we get off on a tangent, I'm not bemoaning the way some people pick teams, just that the system gives them an automatic way to do it. Even though we had that option last year, there was still one time that I had left for the game, and realized 5 minutes from my house that I had forgotten to do my picks. Rather than let the system choose them, I turned around and went home to put them in.

The key word in the article is "restrained"....
"posing for photos with the 7-year-old tiger, which was being restrained by its handler"
If the tiger has to be restrained for the photo, I wouldn't even bother trying to take the photo.

I will be at the game, so no booth needed for me.

I just dislike it when I take the time to sit down and think about why I should pick one team over another, when someone else just lets the computer pick theirs, and they finish better than me. I know one person that as soon as picks can be entered on Tuesday, they do it. Another that will be entering/changing picks up to the last minute on Sunday. There are 5 and a half days to enter picks, so even though real life issues might come up, there's plenty of time to get the picks entered.

Yea, get rid of the option where if you haven't entered your picks before the cut-off, the system automatically picks them for you.

That's the picture I wanted to see. I was wondering if it was a whole hood decal, or just a smaller one that they sometimes use in addition to the primary sponser.
