DiCesare column: Schobel wanted his schedule
Steely Dan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, I get what that means now. Thanks for saving me the typing. -
Watching flies mate>World Cup Soccer I will admit I kinda care this year. If the USA starts doing well I might actually watch a game. Because they are too dim to understand the potential for winning. I used to have a job as as tailpipe on a city bus, but I quit cuz everyday I'd come home exhausted. Beat me too it. (Sort of) My line was gonna be it sucks that the city won't your girlfriends sleep over. Land mines? I just want to say that anyone who doesn't understand the difference between a game you can win and a game you can't is an idiot and well then... Linkage

CJ SPILLER( Hard not to like)

I think a good friend of mine put it best when he said; "The kids 22 but every time he opens his mouth he sounds like he's thirty." If he can kick ass at the pro level he will definitely become one of the all time favorite Bills. -
Ok, I'm gonna type this slowly cuz I know a lot of you can't read fast. 1. This thread is titled "Last post wins!" 2. The only people capable of providing the last post are; a. A moderator b. Dev since he started the thread. 3. Go back and read one think about it and then read two and think about that. Keep doing it until you realize the vast majority of us can never win this!!!!!! It's RIGGED man, RIGGED!!! 4. Somebody should start a thread that gives all people an equal chance of winning. Like perhaps one letting the second to last post win. 5. Go back and read #4 again. Then read it again and again until it sinks in that a thread called something like "Second to last post wins" has a fair chance for all to win. 6. Here's some advice for gambling. If you are standing between tables in a Casino and one of the dealers tells you his game can only be won by himself or one of the managers and the other game gives you a fair chance to win. Go with the one all of the people could possibly win. You'll thank me for this advice some day.

Well, I've never been taught which views are right and wrong I've figured those out with the help of my parents. My mom is an ultra conservative and my dad is a liberal. I don't think too many of your kids teachers are telling the kids what to think unless it's what a noun, verb historical fact or results of a scientific experiment are. Why are you so on edge about your kids being exposed to ideas you don't like. You really should homeschool them so you can indoctrinate them into your cult of thought without interference. I'm not defending his views, I'm defending his right to have and express them. I think any teacher tied to a group advocating violence should be fired. Most of the things I've said are related to how I'd feel if a teacher like this had taught my kid. I've told you that I'm open minded and believe a parent needs to help kids with their critical thinking skills. I'm not like you and I wouldn't freak out because a teacher told my kid something I didn't agree with. You do want kids taught morals, your morals. If you want to set up a home theater and strap your kids to a chair with their eyes forced open and play pictures of their teacher while administering drugs that will make them sick. Go ahead, but I disagree with your methods of building an open mind. Morals like two wrongs don't make a right and about simple respect need to be taught in schools. Evidently your kids need to be taught this because their father doesn't subscribe to them. You didn't get along very well with the kids at school did you? I'm starting to think that's at the bottom of your well of hatred. If your kid called another kid a "wetback" at school and had to serve detention for it you'd probably go ballistic. I stand corrected. That is the best thing you've written here! I think KD would commit suicide if one of his kids ever ended up registering Democrat.

Ever been inside a drug lords house?

Wow! 90% of that cash is American currency! I didn't think it would be that big of a difference. Maybe 60-75%. I love the religious themed guns. Just another example of being able to justify almost anything through religion. -

If I were a kid I'd keep kicking goals into my own net. -
The problem any DE will have on this team is that they will ALWAYS be compared to Smith and that's really not fair. Smith was the greatest ever. I would argue that Schobel was better against the run in his first two years than Smith was. JMO  To the bolded. What he said! BS has 200 sacks in 234 games for 1.17 sacks a game. The #4 all time sack leader, Chris Doleman has 150 sacks over 232 games for a .64 per game. The #10 all time sack leader, Rickey Jackson has 128 sacks over 227 games for .56 sacks a game. Jim Jeffcoat the #20 all time sack leader has 102 sacks in 227 games for .45 per game. Schobel has 78 career sacks in 133 games for a .59 sack per game average. If Schobel played three more years he might be able to get 25 more sacks and move into the top 20. JMO Schobel is .05 sacks per game behind the #4 all time sack leader and .03 sacks per game ahead of the #10 all time sack leader and .14 ahead of the #20 all time sack leader. They didn't start recording tackle stats until 2001 so comparing his tackle numbers can't be done. I'd love to see him crack the top 20. IMO, he's an old timer HOF player.

So I'm sound asleep at 1am and the phone rings. I pick it up and AGAIN it's Sandra Bulluck, in tears. We've had this ongoing thing since before she married Jesse James. She begged me to move out to California and live with her but I'm happy here in Rochester and she's happy in California, she works there after all. So she married Jesse and we know how that turned out. So she's calling me at least three times a week and while I deeply love her and know that she deeply loves me I just can't make it work and she's as stubborn as I am. I really wish she'd move here so much good would come from that for both of us, I think.

The biggest influence on any child is their parent, if they are around enough. By talking to your kid about it you can let them reason through to their own conclusion and then share your opinion on the matter. If you are trying to raise little automatons then I guess that would offend you. It's funny I found something out while student teaching. Every parent wants a teacher to teach morals, THEIR MORALS. There was a few times different parents called up to complain to my cooperating teacher about the material being taught. One time two parents called for opposite reasons. Just let your kid absorb different views and help them hash it out. If schools taught only what parents wanted there would be no curriculum. JMO This reminds me of another story. A friend of mine who's a teacher in the Rochester area caught a kid plagiarizing his assignment. She knew this because the paper is online for people to use. She gave him an F on the paper. The kids mother freaked out and demanded to talk to the teacher and principal together. Evidently this mutha went off on my friend telling her how she's hurting her kids chances of getting into Harvard etc. etc... Had it been me I would have told her this; I'm sorry your son is ruining his chances of going to Harvard. That's right, I'm sorry your son is ruining his chances of going to Harvard. I am not ruining them for him. I'm teaching him that plagiarism is wrong. If you want to teach him that lying and cheating your way to the top is ok that's your choice. In my classroom plagiarizing will get you an F! My friend said she wished she had thought of that. See what I mean about their morals.
