I think he could get 4 UFA picks for Buffalo. You are aware that Millen is no longer the GM there. Right? Yeah, they shouldn't draft any guys for that reason!! You really don't have a clue do you? Look at the contracts recently handed out and that proves you wrong.

Clayton says Bills likely not done dealing
Steely Dan replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Put down the crack pipe and take a nap and come back with a clear head. It's a numbers game. One of the receivers will be cut during TC. Why not get something for RP? A fifth is ridiculous for him. A fourth at the minimum is what I think would be the beginning of fair. A third rounder is what I really think he's worth. If the Bills can trade him as part of a trade for Scheffler then cool. I don't think Scheffler for RP is going to happen. Scheffler is worth more than RP. If they can get Scheffler for RP and a 5th round pick then go for it! -
Oher strikes me as Mike Williams mach 2. Also they don't have Buffalo taking a G with one of the first four picks and I think that will happen.

Who hopes that Jason Peters gets cracked this year?

TG is checking to see if it's a conditional pick or not. -

I wonder if Rhodes could be used like a fullback when ML returns? -
Tim was there another inquiry about Peters or was Philly it?

From the "Are you for real??" department

...Reid was then escorted out of the press room by a group of men in white coats who were kicking over numerous empty beer cans on their way out. -
JMO, 1. Philly wasn't the only suitor, most likely, for JP's services. As soon as it was rumored the Bills may part with him I'm sure some other teams inquired. I think it's obvious they didn't offer more than Philly for him. JP's contract demands probably scared teams away. 2. For what he wanted and his disgusting way of handling the contract negotiations it's might be addition by subtraction to a certain point. 3. He was declining in play over the past three years Can anyone think of anymore?

Thank you VOR from saving me the trouble to type that.

McNabb is too shifty IMO to get that many sacks. -
Now that Peters is gone how about this for a draft

The following are only my opinions and shouldn't be taken too seriously; Oher, from what I've read, has a questionable desire for the game. He's a boom or bust type guy. He smells a little like Mike Williams. Jerry, I don't like guys with a slew of injuries. His latest injury (groin) caused him to miss the combine workouts. Too much of an injury question for me. Gilbert, will probably be around later in the draft. Nice pick idea but too soon, and also you're leaving the OG position til too late in the draft. Sidbury, three of your first four picks are DL related. The Bills need more talent at other positions to draft that much DL in the first four picks. I like this guy a lot and would love to see him a Bills uni but a couple of these DL guys have to go. Thomas, very short at 5'8". The Bills have much bigger needs than to go WR this early in the draft. Intriguing pick. Looks like a boom or bust guy but a huge upside if he booms. Lang, you've waited too long for a G prospect but I really like this guy. If the Bills pick him up along with another G it would be cool. This guy strikes me as a draft steal if he's still available by the Bills second pick in the fourth round. Follet, I think you've waited too long for a LB in your draft. If it wasn't for his injury history and slightly small size he'd be a good pick but, as I mentioned above if I were in the War Room I'd pass on this guy due to injury history. Hill, another injury waiting to happen guy. Bell, two OT's named Bell on the team would be way too confusing. Seriously though, I like this pick. He has some injury concerns but is a huge guy that has a bigtime upside and could be used at RT if D. Bell doesn't move there. He seems like he'd offer some depth after a year of grooming. Feel free to mock my mock which is located in my signature field. -
Moo-chose Gracias!!!

Any word on the conditions of the pick? How high can it go and what are the incentives? Thanks.

If you mean injured by the word "cracked" then no I don't want to see him injured at all. Anyway, you shouldn't either and not just for the moral reasons. The Bills pick next year, I believe, is conditional. -
 Thanks dude!! They may have in an earlier episode but Wullerton (spit) was a very funny gag.

Pro Football Weekly Mock Draft
Steely Dan replied to billnutinphoenix's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that happened with Buffalo getting Curry I'd probably pass out on the couch and awaken to find I've wet myself. If Curry is there then the #28 pick has to be used on a LT. JMO I would personally drive to OBD and slap the crap out of Brandon and Ralph! Unless they were able to parlay the 11th pick into the other teams first round pick and first next year or a second and third added to the first then I'd slap them. If they could get an extra 2nd and third it might be worth it. I highly doubt Curry falls that far. If he's still there at #10 someone will offer SF a great deal and swoop in before Buffalo picks to get him. JMO -

How do you know that? I'd be dollars to donuts that Jackson gets a multi-year deal from Buffalo before the start of TC. It isn't TBD unless the negative nellies are screaming and moaning!! Ahhhhhh! The Bills made a good signing!! Ahhhhhh! Ralph sucks, he's cheap he only cares about lowering the value of the team!! He's going to move them to Toronto!!! The DUI doesn't exhibit bad character as much as severe stupidity. A lot of people on this board have driven drunk before. What I have a very hard time dismissing is the domestic violence thing. This is a big reason why I didn't want Buffalo to draft Hardy last year. It's not Mr. Wilson's money. It's the players money. They get a certain amount of league revenues that caps the teams total spending on all their players. Then players contracts have to be managed under that cap. So overpaying for three or four guys can strap what a team needs for a long time. So we are not applauding Ralph's so called "cheapness" we are applauding the intelligent use of cap dollars. Jason Peters got $60 million for six years. His attitude and declining play aren't worth it anymore to Buffalo. That money makes it possible for Buffalo to sign more guys that can provide help to the team. I would have loved to see Peters stay but for the %age of cap dollars he wanted he just wasn't worth it. I think Freddie will see a raise and a multi-year deal before TC opens. Never, ever, ever let your wife see this thread. Shhhhhhhhh! Sanity isn't appreciated on this board. I think it shows he's used a lot on short yardage plays at the goal line or outside the red zone. I think it's possible that his 3.5 ypc are due to his being utilized a lot on short yardage situations because they know he'll get those yards. If he is frequently used on carries where the opponent has stacked the line to stop a third and one or two or a fourth down one or two then his ypc are going to show a lot less for a very valuable player. The guys who are given the ball on plays that can be run or pass will have the better stats. I'm not saying for sure that Rhodes could pull 4.0 yards per carry if used like a starter but that his running style lends itself to shorter runs. JMO Jackson's gone? Peters could be a good trade or a very bad one. In three years we'll know. Greer wasn't going to be a starter here and wanted to go someplace he would start. Crowell dug his own grave by pissing off the FO at the wrong time. Buffalo actually did him a favor by allowing him to get the more complete surgery because he could take all season to heal. -
We could have had a 1st and 3rd

Third and fourth seem to be about even on hit and misses. After all Tim Anderson was a third round pick and if that doesn't scare you about third rounders then nutttin will!! -
IIRC, Spencer Johnson has had high praise for Bell. The team always seems to have a plan when things like this happen. It's too early to be screaming bloody murder. JMO Bell could be a lot better than anyone realizes.

Skeerry aint it! It does make sense when it's put that way. I still say they should have gotten the 22nd pick and a third rounder. -
