  1. Maybe he is the anti welker? He sticks to receivers like glue.
  2. Plenty of teams like to draft secondary.
  3. Someone who can develop into a solid backup/starter.
  4. I heard on WGR that he sticks close to his man, and keeps one eye on the receiver and another on the ball.
  5. Because you have inside knowledge of other teams draft boards, right?
  6. It's because they think he can become a good player down the road. They are drafting for value this late.
  7. We are one player away from being crappy at a lot of positions, most NFL teams are. That doesn't mean you draft for DEPTH at 11.... you can get a C/G in round 4 or 5. It's stupid to pass up glaring needs (especially when the player is top 10 rated) for depth, just for the off chance that one of our Offensive linemen go down.
  8. Are you seriously suggesting we pick for depth rather than starters at 11? What world are you living in?
  9. Uh, other than Center the bills don't have a glaring OL need, and the good DL players were all taken before we could pick. And btw the fact that we were near last in offense and defense and still 7-9 shows that Jauron is a good coach.
  10. And who would you have taken with the 11th pick? We got the top rated CB in the draft, which our scouting department considers a top 10 player.
  11. I prefer Rucker, we need someone who has been a productive pass catcher in college.
  12. Andrew (Syracuse, N.Y.): Lee Evans has "Hall of Fame" talent? Are you kidding me? KC, I think you've had one too many. Joyner: I can promise you that inebriation had nothing to do with my comments on Evans. He led the NFL last season with a 10.6 yards per attempt. This wasn't an anomaly, either, because he also led the league in this category in 2004. He is well known as a dominant deep pass threat, but also placed in the top 10 in short pass YPA in 2006. Given Buffalo's lack of a quality No. 2 wide receiver, Evans' ability to post this level of performance is simply amazing. This isn't to say I think Evans will be a Hall of Famer, because he can't even get elected to the Pro Bowl. But the numbers do prove he has that kind of talent. From before last year. ESPN Insider.
  13. Many scouts consider Evans to be a top flight WR, some even say he has HOF talent. I wouldn't be so quick to get rid of him.
  14. seems to me like the bangbros is just photoshopped in.
  15. It's because he made a couple mental errors last year (jumping inside when he should have gone outside or vice versa)
  16. Seriously, these numbers are WORTHLESS until you do the whole league. What if a team like the raiders has the same trends as the giants or colts?
  17. You realize that if the FO feels DE is fine then we won't get one in round 1, right? So speculating on how they feel about their pass rushers is rather pointless. We were among the league leaders in sacks 2 years ago, and none of these players are past their prime. The difference between DE and other positions is that it's a need based on what the FO thinks, not like WR or TE.
  18. And what would be the difference if we went WR at 11 and DE in the 2nd round, or possibly trading back into the 1st? This is a deep draft for DE's.
  19. Agreed, it's not about what draft pundits say.. it's about his grade on the teams draft board.
  20. So, basically, you chose data only on super bowl winners to make your argument look good? What if the league average is around 20% DL? Then it all comes down to finding GOOD PLAYERS Until you do this, your analysis is meaningless.
  21. As if you would know anything about this? None of us do... so save the stuff about Kelsay and Denney being back ups. If the front office deems that we need a DE upgrade, even after all we have done with DT, then they will get one.
  22. Uh, our entire red zone offense last year was: 1. Run 2. Run 3. bootleg/run 4. FG
  23. I seem to remember we were among the league leaders in sacks in 2006.... hopefully a strong presence in the middle will bring us back to form. That is what pundits have been saying. It all depends on how the Bills feel about it though, if they feel we need an upgrade... they will get it.
