  1. Not always that easy. I've had three separate examinations for my wrists -- and they all say I'm fine, even though I know that they're not. I'm sure I have tendonitis, carpel tunnel, or something similar. In addition, I have a compressed ulna nerve in my left elbow. But trying to get a doctor to agree with you is near impossible (in my experience, anyway). Yeah, I could keep going around to different doctors, paying ~$100 for each exam, but when is enough enough? Nothing wrong with getting recommendations from others. CW
  2. As Jokeman said, it sounds like an advertisement for NFL Network... I've heard a LOT of people complain about the hardware. Maybe it's gotten better, not sure, but their DVR was utter crap when it first came out. Now TiVo is trying to force DIsh to deactivate them all for patent violations. I'd be very worried if I had Dish right now. As for new customer -- from what I hear, it's generally tied to the phone number, so if you sign up with a new phone number you should be good. To be extra safe, sign up with another name (ie: hustband/wife) and a different phone number. And remember, if they ask for a social security number (not sure if they do), you can say no -- they have no legal right to ask for one (same as the phone company, gas company, etc -- they ask, but if you push back and talk to a manager, they have to relent. ). 3. Which circles back to my initial question - why the buzz?
  4. Yeah - a couple guys from my last job were in good shape (played volleyball and ice hockey several times a week), and they both had it. Cw
  5. You should have your sleep tested -- you could have sleep apnea. I know several people who have been diagnosed and they're given a PAP machine to put over their mouth while they sleep. basically, it ensures you have the proper amount of oxygen while you sleep (and maybe some other stuff that I'm not aware of since I'm not a doctor). 6. There's lots of other movies that are fun and enjoyable by all, yet they're not hyped to death by the media... That's the part I don't get - everywhere you turn, you hear about this stupid movie.
  7. So why is this movie getting SOOO much press? I don't get it...
  8. Less overhead and maintenance? Yeah, it's real cheap to launch sattelites into orbit.
  9. Not quite - he'd have to pay tax on that extra $10,000 that Adidas pays him because it's income, whereas if Adidas pays the fine, he doesn't pay tax on that. My company has a product for Coke (you know those stupid numbers under the caps?), and during the spinup project, you apparantly couldn't drink any Pepsi products for a few weeks while Coke was onsite. This is really no different. CW
  10. So who would you have to hire for that?
  11. I'm sure it's nothing. I had a couple of bumps on my head several years ago. They didn't hurt, but it felt like there was something hard underneath- like a calcium deposit or something. I went to the doctor and they took 'em both out, but it did hurt - although felt more creepy having something tearing your skull... I was a little loopy from the drugs, and after he pulled the first one out I sat up and said, "I refuse treatment, I'm going home now." The doctor laughed at me and did the second one anyway. I always thought I had a lawsuit just waiting there.... I now have a couple more that I'll need to have removed at some point. They're annoying, but apparantly hereditary in my family. Gross story below: The second one they removed actually had some sort of sack around it, and it exploded blood when they pulled it out. That's why doctor's wear scrubs. Served him right for not listening to me. CW

  15. There was a better test posted a year or two ago where all you saw was a blank country and random states appeared on the right that you had to drag and drop in the right location -- all without guides. The really hard level wouldn't even leave the state you dropped on the map. CW
  16. Wiseguy.
  17. You should do a search on AOL about that.
  18. Then you put your dish on a stick and make it look as ugly as possible so that they move you back to the pool-side apartment.
  19. Good point. The Attorney Generals office has them here in Minnesota, and they can also answer questions about the legality of things like this. CW
  20. I'd call some legal professionals in your area, because it may not be, I'm not sure. That said, you CAN still keep DirecTV - they can't stop you from doing that. CW
