Personally, I don't see this as being abnormal. While Google is undoubtedly corrupt, and the searches/results *may* be getting manipulated for panic porn, I believe there is also the need to realize how many data points have been collected in regards to COVID cases. There have been, including today, exactly 100 days since 03/15/20. Keep in mind this is just for the US: At the state level alone, that gives us 5,000 different daily data points at the state level since 03/15/20 (50 states * 100 days) . At the county level alone, that gives us 310,000 different daily data points at the county level since 03/15/20 (~3,100 counties * 100 days). This isn’t even accounting for data that is also summarized at the city/metroplex/other municipality levels. And it doesn't account for data that is combined across different regions and time periods (for example, northern California counties in any given week, moving 7 days, monthly, etc). So, for the US alone, there are millions of data points. And then add in "new cases", which is a very broad scope (it could mean positive, negative, combined, or perhaps even other things). Now, extrapolate all of that across all countries that have been hit by COVID. There is a ton of data out there.

Good call. It also makes me wonder if something is happening before this airs.

Before I ran out to get dinner, I pulled up 7 different live feeds, and it was just a few minutes before POTUS took the stage. Across all 7 there were more than 320,000 concurrent views (and yes, I was counted 7 times across them). Edit: I'm still catching up on the thread and I see that Buffalo Gal posted that there were over 1M.

A feed for the Tulsa rally: It was just mentioned that POTUS may speak to the outside crowd in about an hour (~7PM Eastern). The indoor rally is set to kick off at ~8PM Eastern. -------------- Edit: There may not be an outside portion according to this:
