I'd love to see some thoughts as to how to ween our country off of it. But I'd love to see the Bills win the Superbowl as well.

I'd change that to loses the election. Because # votes /= win/lose. I thought that was a lesson we all learned.

Doesn't work, or just don't like MSNBC? Try Washington Post

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35980548/ns/bu...ashington_post/ Right, wrong, or just posturing? Edit: Tried fixing the link. if it still doesn't work use the Washington Post link instead.

Suing the Gov't Suppose all 37 states bring some kind of lawsuit. Is it even possible anything comes from this?

Interesting point of view in that article. Obviously the writer doesn't care much for Beck or Skousen. I wish he would have gone into a bit more depth on the specific problems with the writings instead of just out of context blanket statements that other people/organizations didn't like the guy. Instead of bashing the author, I wish he would have argued the problems and discrepancies. It doesn't make him wrong, just a bad debater. After reading his 28 Principles of Freedom, I had a feeling this would be highly controversial. 28 Principles of Freedom While I don't agree with nearly everything on that list, I wouldn't say all 28 are incorrect. At least based on the face value of the list. I don't know if those quotes on that site are added by that site's author or taken from the book. Anyone care to have a third party internet debate on what this lawyer has to say? As in I'll take notes (6 classes 1 night a week, 6 weeks) each week, and let you all know what he says. Feel free to argue and bash as I'm not invested in this at all. First class is tomorrow night.

Has anyone read this book? 5000 Year Leap I have the opportunity to attend a 6 week class taught by a Constitutional Lawyer. The class is supposed to incorporate some points/topics from this book. I've not read the book, and know nothing about it, so if someone has read it or knows about it, I'd be interested to hear their thoughts.

What Electric Guitar Should I Buy?
Joe Miner replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A nice American made Strat should cost you around $1000. I think they just came out with some kind of American Strat for like $800, but I'd need to see the differences before I advised that. A Les Paul Studio should come in at around $1400 like you said. I would put these two pretty comparable price wise. So you would then need to decide off of sound. What sound are you looking for, and what style of music do you play? The Les Paul will definitely have better distortion than the Strat and probably do a better job at giving you a rock sound(although the humbucker Strat will help a bit versus the all single coil). I tend to prefer Strats over LP's for playing blues. But that's my preference in how I like Blues to sound. I'm not sure what a traditional warm sound is to you. I wouldn't go below the American Strat or LP Studio for quality in either brand though. But that's my opinion. If you have questions about a specific guitar's sound, talk to a tech at the store, and see which they would be able to set up better for you. They can make some minor modifications that could alter the sound of the guitar more to your liking. So if the Strat or LP is close, talk to a tech, and see if they could make some tweaks to get it where you like it. They might do it for free if you are going to buy it. Doesn't hurt to ask. -
I love Firefox and use it at work on my machine running XP. I got a new laptop at the end of last year, and was running it on Windows 7 and every time I closed it, I had to go to the task manager and end the process before I could start it back up. That got annoying, so I switched to Chrome. I'd like to go back to Firefox, but haven't seen or heard of this being a problem with anyone else. Any thoughts?

Stimulus is creating jobs...in China!

pBills has a chronic problem with verbal diarrhea. He just opens his mouth and all sorts of crap spews out that he has absolutely no control over. You better have a Hazmat suit on if you're going to wade into a conversation with him. -
More Change You Can Believe In
Joe Miner replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But he hasn't been in the Washington politics, has an outstanding education, has probably worked directly with middle-class and lower class people, and some would say he can be very inspiring. He seems to check out on your stringent candidate qualification checklist. You might want to reconsider. I think DC Tom as a candidate will meet all your presidential needs. Is it the catchphrase that's holding your vote back? C'mon Tom, get a snappy catchphrase together. And I don't think "I told you so" will generate the same magic that "Yes we can" did. -
But that 2 year old shouldn't be offended in the first place, or else he's a weak person.

You have no idea what makes a recall necessary. -
I normally don't watch/listen to much Glen Beck, but I thought his opening speech at CPAC was actually pretty good. Part 1 He bashes Republicans just as much as anyone else. Some of historical facts and use of statistics my need some checking, but his overall point is pretty good.

Looking at the chart in that section, maybe we should raise the voting age to 30.

Wuss It's just some minor chest pains. He shouldn't be such a weak person.

Toyota: Democrats 'not industry friendly'
Joe Miner replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It must've been evil Toyota technology and parts that made those trucks spontaneously combust. So now Toyota is not only killing us in their own vehicles, but they're sabotaging our own American made products. Bastards -

You must be mistaken. PBills HIGHLY doubts it's a witch hunt. So that settles it. -
You and your friends should stick to comedy (Lord knows you probably need the practice), and leave the intellectualizing to others better equipped for those converstations.

How do you move someone that refuses to move? If they touch him, it's excessive force. If they taser him it's excessive force. How do you move him?
