Didn't read the article, but shouldn't stuff about the Palins be on PPP?

Oh, I'm quite aware of the stupidity it took to write that. But outside of more stupidity from Congress, how do you get the federal gov't to do it's job?

So it seems like Congress needs to pass some new laws or update existing ones to ensure that the federal gov't does it's job?

So my question is, if illegal immigration is a federal issue, how does a state make the federal gov't enforce the federal laws?

The fact that you actually think gov't and the private sector can compete shows how unable you are to talk about this subject.

I don't think anyone is arguing that. I'm betting the disagreement is on defining a healthy work/life balance, and defining the level of productivity desired.

The GOP better pray there is something here to actually go after Holder and Obama on. If there's not, then they look stupid for a few weeks, and in the end Obama and Holder walk away vindicated. And also, no one pays attention to the economy for a couple of months before the election. Could this be a very ingenious plan by the Obama admin? Intentionally withhold docs that prove you're innocent so that the other side makes fools of themselves and totally distracts the country from the terrible job you've done managing the economy.

How you got some conspiracy idea from my post it hard to understand. When I say "ignore" I mean that they let gun sales go through that normally wouldn't have been approved in order to try to track them. We agree on how the program appeared to be designed to work. Perhaps I'm hoping there was mbecause the intent because that's a stupid !@#$ing program and someone should be publicly flogged for even suggesting it.

We have a stupid gov't program designed to ignore gun sales to shady individuals that very possibly have connections to Mexican drug cartels. What is the problem with investigating something like that? I can't possibly come to a definite theory on why we have the program and what it's intentions were or were not until I know wtf was going on. I don't care if the investigation shows that Evil Dick Cheney signed the F&F order in baby's blood, and is ultimately the one responsible for this level of stupidity by the gov't. I want to see it investigated. If it literally boils down to some gov't asswipe trying to cover his incompetence, I still want it investigated. Perhaps if people knew the stupid ideas the gov't dreamed up and enacted, we'd stop giving the gov't so much unchecked power? Oh wait... never mind.

Yeah, figured it had been. Just curious if someone could present a roadmap, with some intelligent insight on the why's and how's along the way. Because it seems like we've strayed quite far from the intended path when whoever the president is can just decide to not faithfully execute the laws just because they don't want to. IMO, it's slightly different (not saying better) when executive authority is expanded in areas where there are currently no (or vague) rules in place. And it's another to expand it by just ignoring the rules.

Of the pesky US Constitution says: How long have presidents been using their power to not enforce the laws? Seems contradictory to what they're supposed to be doing. So what is the justification for not faithfully executing the Laws?

Are you saying that Obama has cut 5 trillion? And if Obama has only added 1 trillion, how did we go from 10 trillion to 15 trillion?
