  1. I agree completely, and I have no idea how he got into pro bowls year after year. He'd get hit with false starts and holding calls all the time, and overall was an above average offensive lineman. He got the reputation as an all-pro player and I guess nobody bothered to check up on his play, and instead he kept getting into pro bowls and keeping that reputation.
  2. Doesn't Stamer play in the middle? I thought he was a good young player.
  3. On my guide, it's said that the whole time. I'm just hoping its wrong. Regardless, it looks like the Bills game will be winning itself one of the two open replay slots Tuesday 9pm and Wednesday 9pm, via the poll on NFL.com.
  4. Link to the story here. Jauron also went on to say nothing has changed on the depth chart and that JP is still the frontrunner. I think this is a good move as Losman gets his reps in and gets more comfortable, tuning up for the season opener. I think he's more of a frontrunner than Jauron lets on to be honest, and the first half will be about getting Losman more time with the first unit. The second half will be about Nall showing the coaching staff he can hold down the backup job, in my own opinion. No need for Holcomb to get any time, we know what we've got there. He can have the 4th quarter of the last game to stay sharp.
  5. Right, I agree with all of that. I was merely saying that if after about 5-6 regular season games Crowell isn't playing the way most of us expect him to play, than Hunter should get a look in his place if he can play the weak side.
  6. Wendell Hunter just continues to make plays and stand out, both in games and practices. He's establishing that after 5-6 games, if we aren't getting much out of Crowell, he deserves to get his shot as a starter. Assuming he can play that side, that is. I'm thinking its going to have to be Jerman, who has almost by default become our main backup tackle.
  7. That's the whole point. To make it say the Bills game is on.
  8. I personally would like to see you add a 2nd QB spot. It forces people to have depth, and makes the middle rounds more important. As it is, you can draft one stud QB and not worry at all about QB the rest of the way, but another slot would make things more interesting.
  9. But...why? Is Kingsbury so much better? Just let him ride the pine.
  10. I'm in there as Picture Perfect, but I'm hoping you'd consider getting rid of the individual defensive players. I hate these kind of leagues.
  11. Anybody know of a number I can call to ask about the situation? I tried calling 866-NFL-VENT as is posted on the website, but it isn't in service. I want to call and make sure they'll be airing the game this time around.
  12. It's the bitterness he has from watching Norwood's field goal over and over again in his mind.
  13. That's all well, but are these not the very same things that Lee Evans does best? We're better served to have someone on the other side to compliment Evans' style and produce in different situations (such as 3rd and 6) than Evans, not someone whose going to be an Evans clone. The decision comes down to Reed and Aiken in my humble opinion, take your pick. I say we start with Reed, giving him one more shot, and see if he and Losman can regain the chemistry they had last year, and if Reed can get his head out of the clouds and stop dropping passes. If Reed can't pull himself together, then I look to Aiken. The last thing I want to see is Price, Roscoe or Davis on the other side, doing the same stuff Evans does.
  14. Not to mention Lindell has never awed us with his kickoffs. I'm all for it if we can find the roster room.
  15. I personally wouldn't want Price as our number 2, just because he's too similar to Evans. With Evans as our top man, I'd like to see a steady possession/third down receiver on the other side, and despite his poor preseason I'd give the job to Josh Reed in the hopes that he can get his head together and emerge into a legit starter. When Losman was in there last year, the two of them developed alot of chemistry, and Reed was Losman's primary 3rd down guy when he needed the first. I have hope that Reed can pull himself together and be the compliment for Evans that we need. If after a few games I'm not getting what I want from Reed, I'd start roatating Aiken into his spot from time to time to see if we can get some production there. Starting Price, Davis or Parrish in that spot is a mistake, because none of them know how to work underneath. We'd have to throw 30+ yards every passing play.
  16. It's amazing that he was the better half of his team with Don Criqui.
  17. I think there's little doubt in any of the coaches' minds that JP is the starter. Because of Nall's injury, we just haven't seen enough of him and he hasn't had enough time in this offense to seriously consider him to start opening day. Even if he plays the whole 1st half of the 3rd and 4th preseason games and plays well with the starting offense against starting defenses, in my mind it still wouldn't be enough to hand him the job over Losman. However, I do think he should start and play the whole 1st half of the next game, for the purpose of deciding whether he's ready for the backup role. I suspect he'd show more than Holcomb has shown us this preseason and win the backup job right there. And, in these days, rarely do starters take every snap in a season, so in the backup role Nall will eventually get his shot.
