  1. Josh Reed was born to play slot reciever. With Hardy out, Steve Johnson and Roscoe Parrish are our only options on the outside. You really don't think a guy who averages 900 yards a season is a significant upgrade over Roscoe Parrish?
  2. I trust you're only referencing 2008, a season in which Simmons only played 4 games before falling to the achilles injury and being replace by an undrafted rookie. When I said the Steelers' line has been consistently good, I meant they've been such over the duration of Simmons' 7-year career.
  3. I can understand not wanting to spend that kind of money on him, as he's got to be getting up there in years. People keep saying some players aren't going to get what they're expecting due to the economy...lets hope Birk is one of those guys. The above is from the early evening last night, in case you missed it, they also gave updates on Coles, Hangy and Simmons. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/2/27/...coles-fitzpatri
  4. You mean its been a whole day? Good god!
  5. Kendall Simmons also happens to be a former 1st round pick who started 80 games over the first 7 seasons of his career for a consistently good Steelers offensive line.
  6. What am I waiting for? The season! GO BILLS!
  7. If it would change your mood significantly, yet you're still whining that nothing has happened yet...you need to chill. All three of those guys sound like they're strong possibilities. Edit: Fixed that loaded question in the subtitle.
  8. If you're referencing the original poster in this thread, he didn't say Coles turned down $6M per year, but rather that Coles turned down $6M in total guarantees, which isn't all that much.
  9. You guys accusing Dawgg of donning the rose-colored glasses are just a wee bit off the mark...
  10. I agree now, there's been no further word about it. But most of the posts you were talking about came mere hours after Florio mentioned that the Bills were expected to be in the running.
  11. No doubt about that.

  13. Read the post you quoted. You'll get it.
  14. I don't think they'd be signing Kendall Simmons as a WR, and if they did, I don't think anyone would call him a "small" WR.
  15. 2nd rounder, maybe? I'd be down.
  16. Yep. http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/real_scou...to_visit_giants
  17. Did they specify that Coles would be coming in today, specifically?
  18. Scott had 9.5 sacks in 2006, but hasn't done much on that front since then. I don't see much of him so I don't know what to make of that, but his rep. is that of a quality player.
  19. I like the drama you built up with the thread title!
  20. Where'd you read that?
  21. Coles and Evans are sort of similar players though, no? I would've thought they'd look for someone with a different skill set. Still, hearing a name player is coming to town is cause for a bit of excitement.
  22. We need to find TWO starting linemen though, don't we? Center and Left Guard? You could leave one of them for the draft, but you've still got to consider DE/TE/LB. Since Donahoe left the Bills have shown a tendency to sign offensive linemen rather than draft them. All this in mind, I would expect our FO to try to ink Hangartner quickly, and additionally at least be players for Brown or Birk.
  23. Schefter confirms.... http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/02/27/before-the...urry-of-visits/ As has been said above, they are for whatever reason damn serious about adding a name running back. Strange.
  24. Do you realize that statement is wrong? Florio threw the Bills' name into a PFT article...nothing concrete to be sure, but its not as if we're just making this stuff up ourselves, champ.
