  1. Not to mention, all our wins and all our most competitive games have come in white pants. so that's something
  2. we can do the math on this into infinity, right? or so long as the league doesn't take any expansion/shuffle divisions?
  3. This week will be step one!! http://t.co/3V8luriFP5
  4. He's missing more than touch, sorry. His timing is terrible. He needs to throw receivers open, trust the routes, trust his arm, rock and fire.
  5. Buffalo is also increasingly becoming one of the few stadiums left that's virtually surrounded by a parking lot and/or open space, leaving open the possibility for it to become a wasteland of fire pits and crushed beer cans.
  6. I completely agree that it leaves a hole. I just happen to believe that hole to be quite shallow.
  7. Here I thought you were talking about our WR depth in 2013. I failed to realize we were making roster decisions as if Donald Jones, David Nelson, Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish and James Hardy were still lined up with Stevie.
  8. This has been particularly evident in the games Stevie missed this yea--wait...
  9. I just want to point out that this year's team, particularly the young guys, seem to understand the importance of their stewardship to the Buffalo community. Obviously, the organization has been doing its community outreach programs forever, and undoubtedly we'll see more of it this time of year. But a lot of our guys are showing up for these events in 2013. And not just PS interior OLman, either. Spiller, Gillmore, Goodwin, Manuel, these guys are all regulars, as is --of course-- Freddy, and I think this phenomenon is due in large part to his leadership. Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors. And its football team, in spite the heart ache they cause us, lives up to that reputation. GO BILLS!
  10. Yeah...but it's the story of how two guys may or may not have consumed enough alcohol to lead to their respective demises. Why would he mention the family section? I was 21 for the Saturday night game against Denver in 2005. I can assure you I said or did something wildly inappropriate thanks to the Jack Daniels, Budweiser Energy drinks (yep, giving them away for free in the parking lot), Labatt and weed coursing through my system throughout the entire day and night. Now I'm 29, and I'm not really looking forward to the inevitable run-ins with my former self at the Phins game next weekend.
  11. Before I got to the pics I pictured Gerken to look like Sitter and visa versa. Weird.
  12. I think the same thing. EJ isnt NFL ready. He's a half-second slow. They wanted a vet who could rock and fire. Yes yes and yes
  13. yep no joke, the Chicago media did a story about why he's so surly in his press conferences. the reason: his diabetes.
  14. Someone needs to define the line--or lackthereof--separating WGR and the Bills communications team...
  15. Again, go back and look at how many single-score wins the Bears have had over his tenure during games in which the defense or special teams scored. The number will astound you. It sucks living here and watching this team win on a wish and a prayer ALL THE TIME. Also, I have very close ties to someone in the Bears organization who works very closely with "Jay." When I express skepticism with his attitude, this aint some armchair shots-calling bull ****.
  16. I think the guy on camera provides some of the best comedy. "I was with when you bought that hat...I know money aint no thang, but you paid like 35 for it."
  17. I don't understand what point you're trying to make. Does Stevie not embrace his individualism? Has Marrone not made it clear he doesn't care for that kind of **** and would prefer his players be buttoned up? That all seems pretty objective to me. And how do your QB excuses hold water when a rookie, in 9 games, has doubled the long reception count of a guy who's played 75? But more importantly, the original point had more to do with the amount of money Stevie's being paid to not make those plays, and by your logic, since we have nobody who can pass well, we shouldn't invest in ANY receivers until we do...? Most times I appreciate you smiting everyone with righteous optimism, but I think Stevie's over stayed his welcome in that department, man. Time to move on. And that's totally valid. I can understand your critique of that, particularly given below: Exactly. PTR's post is what brought me there, and that line made me go, whuuuuuuuuuuuuh??
  18. I could care less if a columnist changes his tune to fit the moment. And I'm not one to give Sully praise because I think for a long time liked to 'play the part.' That said, he crushes it with a few lines in this: That’s the main thing for Stevie, keepin’ it real. It’s part of his well-crafted image to defy the rigid strictures of pro football, to stand apart. That’s why Jim Rome would put him on the national airwaves during the Super Bowl to talk about how he ignores the team workout program. Johnson has never been one to toe the line, to mouth the dull, predictable things. We love a free spirit. Nothing like good copy during another losing season. But it’s not the best thing for a team in the buttoned-down universe of the NFL. And how does this not leap up and slap the faces of everyone still clingining to the Stevie bandwagon: Rookie Marquise Goodwin had a long touchdown catch in each game (40 and 43 yards). Johnson has one 40-plus TD grab his entire career. Sure, he’s a possession receiver who does much of his work over the middle, but for $7.25 million a year, you’d like to see him break one now and then. And while we all love to glom to his 3 x 1,000 seasons: He doesn’t have a 100-yard game since Week 2. He has six TD catches in his last 24 games.
  19. The day in 2009 it was announced they were signing him, you would have thought the clouds had parted and Christ himself had descended upon the Windy City. Well, he's not that good. And any Bills fan that thinks a.) he is or that b.) he should be brought in to help our team is wrong. Sorry.
  20. Cutler's wins? They're not even his on paper! Defense and special teams scores have been pulling wins out of the ether for The Bears...consistently...since 2006.
  21. All good points, but coming from Chicago, I don't think taxes would deter him from Buffalo.
  22. Imagine hearing the lyrics to Rudolph for the first time as an adult. The parents: what the hell are they teaching our daughter?
  23. Fine, but some opinions (mine) are much more informed than others (yours).
  24. It has nothing to do with Cutler's talent. It has everything to do with him being a total punk.
