  1. We don't neccesarily need a LB as good or better than Kiko. You're right, that would be at tall order. We need linebacker(s) better than Moats and Bradham: not so tall. I always thought Khalil was classic Sam/Blitzing LB Either way, Kiko and Lawson are fine, but we need depth at both their positions, and a better guy 'inside' to help our run d.
  2. I go back to what the original intent with Kiko was: weak side. Unfortunately,he's by far the best option we have for the middle right now. So, it was sort of his by default. Would he still call plays as a weakside guy? Sure, why not? But his best attribute is reading and reacting. He doesn't exactly make blockers fly off him, and when he misreads or over-runs, we're in a heap of trouble. I don't know what philosophy you're referring to when it comes to LB play, to be honest. Plus, we probably play mostly out of Nickel anyways. Does Lawson come out in Nickel situations then? Is Kiko the dime LB?
  3. Kiko was a Will who played his way inside. Get a true inside guy (I don't know WHERE Kiko's storing that "240" pounds of his), a stout bone crusher who can plug and stuff, and let Kiko run wild on the weak side with Manny setting the strong side edge. THAT--way more so than any DLineman--will fix our run defense, probably even turn it top 5-10.
  4. and your method of chewing through quarterbacks at an insane, unsustainable frezy would help that out...how?
  5. At what point in this thread do you start believing everyone calling you nuts has some level credibility?
  6. Call me crazy, but I'd rather see my team win this week than watch the Dolphins lose in two weeks, given other scenarios beyond our control.
  7. Take the rankings and shove 'em. Anyone who watched last year's team and this one knows--without a doubt--we're better against the run. Why we suddenly starting giving up long TD runs against Tampa and Atlanta, I haven't the foggiest, but let's not pretend those were indicative of the entire year.
  8. We actually do a fine job of stopping the run...much MUCH better than last year
  9. If he had bad accuracy and flawless mechanics, I'd be worried. But he doesn't. He has very correctable mechanics issues, and I fully expect a lot of improvement from him between now and September. I'll be watching his feet in August.
  10. okay, you also keep stating as a matter of fact that ej sucks...yet: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/164432-measuring-ejs-progress/page__view__findpost__p__3006023
  11. The problem with this request: name 5 more. You can't. They're a rare breed.
  12. Someone posted earlier today that Charles might have been singularly responsible for the shouldabeen TD turned fumble. So there's that.
  13. But your expectations are ludicrous. If you expect a franchise qb to emerge after 10 games, you'll be going through a new one EVERY year, no doubt at the expense of one or two. Does this not make sense to you?
  14. Then I go back to my original statement: if you're sitting around waiting for the Bills to take a QB with their first pick, brace for let down. But at least you'll have something complain about!
  15. Andrew Luck was well-touted coming out of college as the best prospect since Manning. He was the first overall pick, we had no prayer of getting him. So who's your Andrew Luck? Since it's scientifically impossible to engineer a QB, please tell us who we should draft.
  16. Nobody's disagreeing with you!! There are less than 10 can't miss QB's in the NFL. May be we have one, may be we don't. You're the only one saying definitively that we don't. Also: linebacker support would have won us the Falcons game, probably the Cincy game too. Definitely the Cleveland game. May be one is just not accurate.
  17. Haha, okay, buddy. I'm glad you've seen into the future and know what we should, or shouldn't expect from EJ.
  18. Then we're at an impasse. There's no way you can convince me that an OG is less of a priority than a TE for this team. Interior defenders routinely get a fistfull of jersey before our RB's even reach the LOS.
  19. Right, take an offense to the next level? From good to great. Right now we're poor-average, and need more pressing tools just to get to good.
  20. It's starting to feel like you want this to be the case.
  21. The point was to show that a new tight end aint gonna suddenly bring us to the promise land.
