  1. I have no problem questioning the ratio. I'm willing to bet that once the all-22's come out, we'll see 10 Browns defenders in the box the whole time, though. And if we don't, fine, poor game plan. But if we do, I won't expect anyone to say "oh, gee, ya know, may be the professional defenses on the other side of the ball are forcing us to pass to win and if we can't do that, then...gee...I don't know, may be it's because our QB sucks and not because the OC doesn't have a clue." Well, considering two of our 2013 starters are struggling to stay on professional rosters right now, and the third is a presently a backup to...KYLE !@#$ING ORTON. Let me play the same game that the playcallers do: do you think Orton is good?
  2. I can't believe nobody's brought this up yet. Hackett has Orton producing right where he should be: bottom 10. Therefore Hackett sucks. Let's just cut to the chase. As the QB goes, so to does this fan base's perception of the OC. And yesterday Orton was AWFUL.
  3. Was it Sammy you're concerned about? Or was it Preston Brown? Oh...wait, I'm sure it's Seantrell Henderson. I can't believe he only found three starters this year.
  4. RGIII is a spiraling disaster in Washington. Right now--according to analysts--he's terrible at EVERY phase of quarterbacking. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2014/11/19/chris-cooley-rgiii-was-so-bad-i-cant-assess-the-rest-of-the-redskins-offense/ But, it would be awesome to see Orton befall the trifecta of canned-for-shinier objects syndrome, I guess.
  5. yeah but Gailey got Spiller into space!!
  6. So out of Sammy, Woods and Hogan...only one is better than...GOODWIN!? What in god's name are you basing this on??
  7. Bills fans are uncannily talented at evaluating the things they do not see.
  8. You know what my point was. I follow the mob around this board to lecture them on how the "blame the coaches" refrain is !@#$ing stupid given our talent level on offense--PARTICULARLY at the QB position. Then when a unit does perform well, it has nothing to with coaches, and everything to do with talent. It's dizzying hypocrisy.
  9. Anyone want to name that stand out unit in the NFL that's not "stacked?" Special teams, offense or defense. Doesn't matter. Show me the one that's not "stacked." Good play = good players. Bad play = bad coaches. So stupid.
  10. You're not certain of any of these things.
  11. The answer to OP's question is yes. If we win JUST the AFC games and if there no upsets in any other games (based on winning pct. right now), then yes, we're in. But it's a win and in a scenario in week 17 and we're not in UNTIL that win.
  12. The schedulers should all be fired for this.
  13. Um, actually, no. He punted on fourth and one...in their own territory. And a false start set us back to fourth and sixth at another point in the game. Why are you making things up? And, oh by the way, this dreaded punt on 4th and 1 everyone wants to !@#$ing B word about: IT WORKED We pinned them down to the three yard line, forced them to punt on a short field, then McKelvin ran back to the 25. So...what was the problem with that call again?
  14. What is your ideal scenario for Doug Marrone's participation on game days?
  15. Wait, am I led to believe that when players are poor it's the coaches fault, but when players are good, it's also the coaches' fault? At least you guys are consistent.
  16. Well, continue to argue with that strawman all you like. My argument now, like it was then remains the same: players share WAY more of the blame than the "Fire the coaches now" crowd cares to admit.
  17. I agree for the most part. Perfect example: last night, the failed fourth and one. The gameday thread lit up like a Christmas tree with posters bitching about the play call even AFTER the slow mo replay clearly showed the tackling defender shedding a double team like it wasn't even there. Jesus. Chip Kelly is a HC/OC just like Gailey was. Rex is a HC/DC. Marrone does not fit this category JUST BECAUSE he used to be a coordinator and played some ball himself. In fact, he doubly doesn't deserve this distinction since he served under a HC/OC in Sean Payton.
  18. No, bro. The defense is good because of PLAYERS, just like I said in another thread. By YOUR logic, because Marrone's responsible for the offense, he must also be responsible for the defense. It's YOUR !@#$ing logic that makes no sense. And again, Chan Gailey was HC/OC, Doug Marrone IS NOT. I know it helps you make your point to pretend that he is, but enough already.
  19. Let me be very !@#$ing clear. He's not Chan !@#$ing Gailey. He let's his coordinators do their !@#$ing jobs. He's the head !@#$ing coach. He's not the !@#$ing offensive coordinator, he's not the !@#$ing OLINE coach. He's the !@#$ing head coach. You overstate his involvement with the offense like !@#$ing crazy then turn around and completely UNDERsell his involvement with the defense. It's sad.
  20. I'm not saying the offense isn't horrid. Haven't once. But the things the offense does wrong...the fumbles, sailed passes, overlooking WIDE OPEN RECEIVERS, that has nothing do with game planning. I've cited over and over and over again the player errors that have cost us dearly. The PLAYER errors that posters keep wanting to pin directly on Marrone...WHILE the good things that happen on defense are completely...oh Jesus, forget it.
  21. Got it. So a defense that sets the tone, nothing to do with the HC. Fumbles, missed receivers and sailed passes and that's all him? Okay.
  22. Wait what? Clock management was bad...like the near miss on AW's blown coverage? Jesus.
  23. Ditto Dareus on the KW sack
  24. On that Mario sack...he's being held by two defenders from behind. I mean, Jesus. I can TWO defenders be trailing a guy, both with their hands on him and NOT be called for...something!?
