  1. I'm sure he will. This thread outlined it perfectly. He was just a victim of some bad events--he got hurt, came back for like, 2 days, and then his mother died. He was responsible about it, and instead of rushing back to the team, he stayed with his family until they were alright, and missed most of camp because of it. The coaches wouldn't have put him in yesterday if he didn't understand the defense enough to play....so I'd say it's safe to say that an offseason's work will do this kid alot of good.
  2. To respond to the original post, he finally saw the field yesterday! Credited with his first 3 (assisted) NFL tackles.
  3. Anderson's not a rookie, he's a 3rd year player if I'm not mistaken. He WAS, however a 3rd stringer in Baltimore before going to Cleveland.
  4. This is true. I'm just saying I emphasized offensive line.
  5. I'd like to see Steinbach in FA and Long in the draft. What we do with the other guard, I don't care. Long is a monster, plain and simple./
  6. We all know we're not going to draft O-line OR D-line in the 1st round if we let Nate walk. So I'm just dreaming with this thread
  7. How many of the peple that you just listed are offensive linemen?
  8. I just found a long, but very good report on the entire incident. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04305/404469.stm Somewhere in that article, it states that toxicology reports found no drugs or alcohol in his system.
  9. That's unbelieveable. Watch how fast the pickup truck flies by in the left lanes of traffic at like, the 3 second mark of the video.
  10. "Jake Long is the next in a long line of great Michigan o-lineman and he will be a perfect fit as a right tackle in the pros. " He's 6'7, 315 or so, and if you've watched any Michigan games this season, I'm sure you've seen that he's an absolute monster. And before you argue "Not ANOTHER O-lineman in the 1st round"--remember that Texas' track record in the pros doesn't hold a candle to Michigan's, ESPECIALLY on the offensive line. http://www.mgoblue.com/bio.cfm?bio_id=2141...el=3&season=983
  11. Jake Long is a f***ing monster. I would put him on our line ANY DAY. #1, he's a huge dominant tackle. #2, Michigan linemen have great NFL track records.
  12. http://www.97rock.com/ There's a "LISTEN LIVE" link near the top of the page, in the red bar.
  13. For that matter, is there any place in the Buffalo area that you guys know will be able to skirt the blackout? Or does the NFL really clamp down. And for the record, no, I cannot go to the game. I'm a full-time college student who works part-time at Tops making $7.00 an hour. I also make car payments, pay for my own car insurance, and my tuition. Tickets just aren't in the cards for me, unless my parents buy them for me (like they did for the Jax game)
  14. Doesn't the NFL or the NHL have a rule that would prevent Golisano from being the majority owner of the Bills because he's the owner of the Sabres?
  15. When he spoke to the "campers" at Jim Kelly Football Camp, he told them (myself included) that he transferred from UCLA because, as much as he loved his family and stuff, he was still living too close to them to ever learn how to be responsible for himself. ...that, and he was probably buried on the depth chart. But still, transferring from UCLA to Tulane was more mature than from UCLA to some junior college.
  16. Lew-Port High School: Math - Mrs. Mathews, Pre-Calculus - Nicest woman ever, made everything seem so simple. I'm actually taking Calc I in college now and I go back to her for help, she makes it that easy. Social Studies - Every teacher from 6th-8th grade, as well as 11th-12th grade (Mr. Brennan, Mr. Sicoli, Mr. Bollinger, Mrs. D'Anna and Mr. Townsend, in order) As you can tell, I really enjoyed my history classes in high school, and I can see now why Lew-Port has one of the most highly regarded Social Studies departments in WNY.
  17. They only called it cause the white boys jumped into the stands too. Racists. (Leonhard and DiGiorgio were the 2nd and 3rd guys into the stands)
  18. I agree with you. In a tied game, del Rio took what he THOUGHT was the safe way out. Squib kick it to keep it away from the talented McGee, let the defense do the rest and get it to OT. ...and then we know what happened. Not only did the Bills get the ball to McGee, Losman stepped up, made the throw...and IT'S GOOD.
  19. I was in section 314. Even up there, the place was rocking. I'm sure it was louder down below, but man. This was the first game I'd been to in 3 seasons (last one was a win over San Diego on a T-Henry screen pass--Drew Bledsoe era). I loved it. Now, I have to find some tickets to the Miami game.
  20. In person. Somewhere in the 300's, there's a big group of us going and I am not the ticketholder. I'll find out tomorrow.
  21. There's 10 years of game film on Manning. When is someone going to shut him down? and it's not just Manning. I could pick any starting QB in the NFL and plug it into this sentence... There's (x) years of game film on (starting QB). Do they get shut down every week?
  22. Just to let you know, I bet on Miami (before seeing this post, obviously). I had my reasons, like you had yours: My main reasons: 1. Detroit is still a bad football team 2. Joey Harrington would go into Detroit and prove that a QB can't have any success without a decent supporting cast. (like them or not Chambers, McMichael, Booker and Brown are better than the 2 busts (Williams and Roges) that the Lions gave Harrington.
  23. I thought the blackout rule covered a 75-mile radius?
  24. Didn't Turkey Hill (the official dairy of your Buffalo Bills--holy subliminal messages work) buy 3000 tickets earlier this season? I'm going to this game..my first one since the Blew Deadsloe/Travis Henry era.
