I guess I am the only one who thinks....
Mike formerly from Florida replied to ans4e64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the market is outrageous and Kelsay might have gotten even more out there since he was the only DE other than Kearney. I think also there weren't other alternatives and the Bills didn't want to go into the draft looking to draft for another need. Also, he has improved every year and the Bills wanted to keep someone from their own system. Make sense? -
Bills 07 needs and solutions
Mike formerly from Florida replied to UBTeger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We will not get a second for Willis We cannot afford Adalius, otherwise we would sign Nate Steinbach is a possibility. London is a possibility or though I think the Bills are targeting Patrick Willis. -
Kelsay's Contract
Mike formerly from Florida replied to PistolPeaTear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not trying to be an aszhole to you, but exactly where is this pass-rusher? It's not in the free agent market. We aren't drafting a DE, so Kelsay makes a lot of sense. Yeah, we overpaid, but that's the market when he is the only bonafide DE. Maybe they think he is still improving...he has gotten better every year. -
Jauron is making his case for resigning his players in the media. It sounds like he will not be too happy if he loses Kelsay and Clements. If the Bills resign just these two guys I would be happy. Then they could go after MLB/Guard and runningback in the draft. Maybe sign a coupla extra second-tier FA as well. Ralph is a fukn cheap aszhole who could give a shi$ about competing at this point in his life. His love for money is a sickness and he needs to disappear off the planet (I don't like to wish bad on anyone but...) before he sells this team or damage it further. Then his daughter can sell it to buying interests in Buffalo.

Nate Clements is not that good
Mike formerly from Florida replied to The Cincinnati Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't you notice that Nate gave up a total of about four receptions for 13 yards against the opposition's #1 receivers in his last six games (sarcasm). Now, whether he was motivated by a big contract is another thing. But, from the above list, if i had to choose, I would take...Champ bailey and Chris McAlister....that's it! The rest is too funny. Shawn Springs? Chris Gamble? Terrance Newman? D'Angelo Hall gets burned too often..but I put him right behind Nate becasue he hasn't reached his potential yet. -
Ralph & "cash to cap"
Mike formerly from Florida replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph will be dead before he gets to see any of his profit. You would think he would want to win a Super Bowl and go "all out" to get there before he croaks. It just goes to show you he suffers from a mental illness called "cheap beyond words can describe." I mentioned this once before, I met someone who is a very close friend of an ex-Bills star. This Bills player told him that the players from his era can't stand Ralph because he is so cheap and will not do what it takes to win. They won't publicly say it but the sentiment is there. -

I like your thinking the best...especially the six-pack part! -
Cash to the Cap explained by Chris Brown
Mike formerly from Florida replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's right...your thinking is what is defective. The Bills have to spend 85% of the cap. That is $93MM in cap money. The $109MM in cash Marv spoke about is in real money, not amortized...meaning we can spend $109MM but only get accredited for at least $93MM against the cap. It's another way of saying the Bills will leave lots of money on the table...but they are not mortgaging the future either. -
Tiger behaves like a spoiled child when things go wrong. He expects every twenty foot putt to go in. His foundation is a tax shelter. It has been reported he is a very cheap tipper from people who work at the country clubs. There is a new rumour that he isn't playing these last few tournaments because he is trying to put togerther an all-star tour with his name on it. This would destroy the PGA from a popularity and fiscal perspective (if it comes true). I believe he needs to play 15 or 17 tournaments to maintain his card...he is not going to make it at this rate....the California tour is much more prestigious than a lot of the rest of the country's non-majors. I mean...how do you skip Pebble Beach?? Nah..Tiger is worse for Golf than better..you will see.

Cash to the Cap explained by Chris Brown
Mike formerly from Florida replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I rather they sign only one or two really good players than last year's five to six average players. And by really good, I mean a player who fits the team's mold and improves us...not necessarily a star. -
Press Conference
Mike formerly from Florida replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again Mr. Happy, Marv is not a traditional GM..those duties are split up between Overdorf and himself. Nobody can make any assumptions based on what Marv said today. All I know, is that Marv will even under difficult circumstances of having an owner who is cheap and crazy, will lead the bills in the right direction. He will give DJ at least a chance to win. Because Marv knows talent and character. If we sign just one free agent for the O-line, that will still give us more options at draft time..where Marv always excelled. Even during the Polian days, Marv was recognized as having a large voice in player evaluations. He knows what it takes to win. If you dispute that, then you're just the ignorant fan. -
Cash to the Cap explained by Chris Brown
Mike formerly from Florida replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely..Cash to Cap means, I believe, real $ spending versus the formulaic spending used for the cap consumption rules. Marv has already said they will spend $105MM on players either to resign or bring in new guys. This can translate into a lower cap # (i.e., $92mm) which will leave us still way under the cap budget, but the $105MM probably represents where Ralph and Overdorf have capped their real $$ budget in order to come in the black. -
An early Christmas wish list...
Mike formerly from Florida replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL! The man can play 11 positions, but he's not suited for the cover 2. Something tells me he is suited for wherever you put him...he's just a freakin' monster...period! -
I agree, a big reliable receiver will improve our time of posession which was a big weakness last year. That will keep our run d off the field when we needed to run the clock out at the end of the game. We need a 3rd down back like the kid with the Jets too. A big MLB will shore up the run d with Takeo in better shape as well. The lineman are still 300 #s..that's enough..they need to learn better technique.

Wilson is a cheap bastoid...cheap to the point of mental illness. If you want to refute that statement, go right ahead. But, I recently met a very reliable source about how the ex-superbowl-bills won't publicly state it, but they can't stand him. No, it's not a friend's cousin's brothers' in-law. It's a direct and very reliable source.

Gotta bring this up

I didn't realize that if you're a flag waving patriot you can be compared to a Nazi. What is this country coming to? This is what the Liberals want us to believe. -
Sean Salisbury in some hot water...
Mike formerly from Florida replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The "chews" in the media are hyper-sensitive. One of those will go on to claim that Sean Salisbury denies the Holocaust ever existed.
