1. JP is our QB of the future...but Vince Young is a MONSTER!
2. First of all, you just GOT to give him one more off-season before he fully recovers from a devastating injury. He WILL be better next year...not what he was, but maybe 90%. Second, don't forget, we used to describe defenders trying to tackle Travis as a "bowling ball with pins." PATIENCE.
3. Bottom line is this: Levy is in the HoF and employed as a GM. Dickerson is nothing. 874233 And that says it all, doesn't it? Besides, Marv is one classy intellectual guy. Wilborn from PTI said when asked about the Bills draft earlier this year (when everyone was berating Marv's selections), "It's too early to judge the Bills draft, especially when it's in Marv's hands. I never doubt Marv Levy." (paraphrasing)
4. OOPS! You're right. I knew that. I don't know what made me think it.
5. Not that anybody cares, but this is the way I see the Bills priorities in the draft/FA. (Not considering who is available where at the time the Bills draft) OG-a roadgrader-absolutely most important player-to open up holes for Willis. A Reuben Brown-type would be nice. WR (6'3 or taller) Help open things up for JP in the red zone DT (fat and stout) you can get this guy low in the draft (see Ted Wash and the undrafted Phat Pat) RB we need a waterbug who can catch for third downs (something like the guy on the Jets) MLB (if we don't sign London) Spikes will be ok...he showing signs of progression every week. He needed another full year to get back to 80-90% of where he was. I think he has done well considering... CB (not as big of a deal with Youboty around to replace Nate...I think he'll surprise or Marv might find one as a FA rather than wasting a pick). TE (not so much a necessity if the new WR is a real #2)
6. Dude, I respect your team's resurgence, but be serious, you are going to play in December on the road in Buffalo where Vince Young has little experience in this weather while Losman excels in this type of climate. Be reasonable, we're not losing by 10. We almost beat the Chargers if not for a few calls that went against us. We have also been stopping all of the teams' hot streaks (see Jets, Miami). I'm not saying we will definitely win, but don't take the Bills too lightly....you might get dissapointed. Anyway, it should make for an exciting game.
7. Even if we lose that game, the important thing is that the Bills gave us some excitement with some meaningful games. And more importantly, watch how we become the chic pick by the media next year to make the playoffs (and we should). I have always said, "In Marv we trust." No one should ever doubt this man's knack and instinct for winners. That's why I thought it was a joke when Espn made fun of him as being crowned the new GM. They made fun of of his age, but ignored his experience and football acumen. We can already see the "Marv" influence on the team's play on the field. This team really reminds me of the '87 Bills. Eerily similar in terms of character and fundamentals.
8. I have noticed that the Bills have been shutting the run down pretty good in the second half. So, they do have the players/schemes in place, they just need to become more consistent. Maybe if Kyle Williams or McCargo gain 10 more pounds for next year, it will be enough.
9. The most unlikely scenario I see is us beating Baltimore in their house. But, stranger things have happened.
10. And we don't wish to alarm you, but Buffalo has won five of its past seven games -- with the only losses to Indianapolis and San Diego by a combined margin of four points. And we don't wish to alarm you...it sounds like...we don't wish to dissapoint you.
11. First, of all my IQ is 131. Secondly, my intention is not to create rumours, rather it is opinion based on observations for the severe lack of press the Bills received before and after this little impressive run. Call me jackass, bo-tard or whatever, but this is a forum for discussion. If you don't agree with it, it's your problem. What's your IQ?
12. You should be. The league's intention is to get rid of football in Buffalo. Look how much press the Bills have been getting during this run. Very little. It's as if we don't exist. The NFL network last night didn't even mention the game less show any highlights. That tells you what they think of Buffalo. They hate Ralph and can't wait for him to die so the team will be moved. Enjoy the Bills while they're here.
13. What these other Leinart suckasses don't realze is that Leinart would never have signed in Buffalo, and would have held out for a Pacific coast team anyway. When will people understand that?
14. [ He was sacked 3 times: 2 by Rhodes on a safety blitz and a failed bootleg. None of those sacks fall on the O-line. Are you telling me you blame the failed bootleg on JP?
15. We're not very good defensively in the red zone either. The Jets ran through us like swiss cheese every time they got down there. Are we at 0% at stopping the opposition in the red? It feels that way.
16. NFL football is like reality shows. They claim to be real, but several parts are scripted or edited (the referees part) to create more interest. The average fans are ignorant (people on the board for the most part are not average fans, otherwise they wouldn't be posting here), so the league has to drum up more interest to increase the ratings and advertising $ for the networks that had to pay out BILLIONS. The best way to do this is to create human interest stories and market the popular teams and focus on the superstars until our stomache turns sour (like TO on ESPN). It's not completely fixed, it's just not as real as we think, and it's getting worse year after year. Small market teams like us are leftout in this menagerie the NFL has created for their own corporate greed.
17. The poll was talked about on CNN and Fox. It's hard to link something seen on TV. If you don't want to believe it, don't believe it. Hannity was disputing the poll as liberal propaganda as well. The thing is, I don't believe it to be a bi-partisan issue, it's just whether you believe our government or not. I choose not to.
18. I believe they beat us here the last two times. I don't think the dome is a factor. I think talent and gameplanning will be the defining factors. Besides, they are a turf team as we are.
19. I don't want to get into it. We all have different opinions, experiences and perspectives.
20. Yes, you did. That was your intent. But, that's okay, we are starting to get use to it. It's the current theme of our nation. And nobody said you were a horrible person. You acted like one all by yourself.
21. [ The last Super Bowl was the "straw" for me. 787488 Me too. Too much money involved today for the networks. You can't watch two plays without a commercial interruption. And then, they run them forever. Then there's the "Pink" nonsense on NBC. The league is turning into the WWF. I "barely" enjoy the games.
22. I think anyone who has an avatar of Ron Jeremy, mocks the pope, and bashes Christians for no reason whatever, says a lot about a person. I'm taking the Christian way out, and I won't write what I'm thinking.
23. Whatever scheme Mangini cropped up against our Defensive line, expect after film review, the copycats to try the same schemes. I hope the first two weeks weren't a fluke. I think most of it though, had something to do with Pennington's smarts, three step drops, and quick release.
24. Was 9/11 an inside job? 33% of the people in a news media poll believe so. Personally, I don't think it was an inside job, but I have a hard time believing the government knew nothing about it. Zacchari (sp?) had worked on this plan since 1992. Are we really suppose to believe, not one CIA, or FBI, or military agent wouldn't have secretly found out about this, just purely by accident? There was too much communication and logistics by Al-Quaeda to be missed by all of our agencies. I really believe our government could care less about 3,000 people to achieve their goal. Collateral damage. They never imagined the buildings would have collapsed.
25. Good point. Probably the only argument against my usual tirade why the league is fixed.
