  1. I don't think he is -- I said the same thing when CBS showed the first replay after the fumble. When Trent turns his head to look at the fumble, the other Jag comes in high and hits Trent helmet-to-helmet. I don't know whether that's not called because of the fumble or what.

BTW, to the OP- the term is "unabated" and I think that is usually only called when someone jumps offsides and has a clear run at the QB and he's defenseless.

I guess what i meant was since the fumble was occuring alot of those rules go out the window

  2. I'm not exactly positive on how this call works but Reggie Hayward jumped in the air towards Trent Edwards 1/2 second later the fumble is forced, while Hayward is still in the air, then Hayward's Helmet goes directly into Trent's Face mask (Unavaided to the quarter back or something?)....like I said idk how it works if Trent lost possession but if he was in the air before the fumble should it be counted as a blow to the head and the Bills be awarded a 15 yd personal foul penalty and receive that ball back? Just a question that could possibly be answered by a more NFL Rules knowledgeable person.

    GO BILLS!!!

Gotta be honest i think your reaching a bit on this one

  3. Right call based on the situation...

THE BETTER QUESTION: what was the 2nd down play call on that drive with a playaction rollout by Edwards?

Was that another short yardage playaction pass (like the one that worked successfully just before that), or was it a naked bootleg? In either situation, I think it was a poor call that added 10 yards to the field goal attempt. NExt time in that situation, I hope the Bills run it 3 times up the middle with Lynch. If he gets the 1st the game is over, if he doesnt we kick a 34 yarder instead of the 44 yarder, with the same amount of time on the clock. I was scratching my head over that call.

Any ideas? Not to nitpick, bc the rest of the game was called beautifully... just wondering.

I figured that was an attempt to catch them off guard and possibly score a TD to make it even more out of reach as soon s they caught on trent did the right thing and went down

  4. Ok - great game by the bills yesterday. I'm not here to bash the bills or Jauron or "temper enthusiasm" like I heard in a few other posts. I'm not second guessing coaching or playcall - I want to see what people think about Jauron's game managment strategy in dealing with the fourth quarter field goal.

Now the bills were up by one point with less than 30 seconds left in the game - on the 27 yard line. At this point, I'm thinking - with 29 seconds left, we should go for it here. Granted, it was 17 yards, but we probably could have managed a dump off to a running back, picked up 8-10 yards. Jacksonville would get the ball back on the 20-25 yard line with 20 seconds left and have to drive almost 50 yards to have a shot at a 40-45 yard field goal.

Now we all know what happened - Lindell came in and boomed a 43 yarder and the rest is history. His field goal put us up by 4 points - forcing JVILLE to score a touchdown if they wanted the win. My concern was WHAT IF he missed? I'm not the most ardent supporter of Lindell (I know I probably should be) but his notable and untimely misses early in his career have forever scarred me (see week 16 against Pitt -Bledsoe's last year). If he missed, JVILLE gets the ball back on the 35. I think either decision would have been good, but I guess kicking the field goal (and knowing it went in in hindsight) was a better choice.

So you want the Bills to not trust their kicker who is one of the best in the business so that we can go for it possibly fumble the ball throw an INT ect?

Bills made the right move easy, if you cant trust your kicker in those conditions, you either need a new kicker or be up by more than a td to begin with

  5. His lame duck pass would have been picked off last week too if they had been playing anyone but the Dolphins. The fact is, this is the first time in years that the Patsies have looked truly vulnerable and the game today showed the weaknesses of both these teams. Buffalo, if they can continue to play at this level, looks good enough to make a run at a playoff spot and potentially a division crown. We need to win the home game against NE this year, though, if we really want to have a chance. Both of us could be 10-6 or 11-5 when the time comes, and we can't afford to have two of our losses to NE.

    19-0 baby :wallbash:

  6. Watching the game today i saw a few things that need improvement

    1) We have to tackle better. Fred Taylor and jones drew are good players but so is most of the NFL. We have to tackle better or we are going to lose some games we should win.

    2) Our kick coverage doesnt seem to be as good this year, maybe its just me but i thought it looked a bit pourus.

    3) Run blocking. 59 yards from Marshawn and 17 from Jackson are alright but i would still like to see it improve

    Thoughts? additions?

  7. Were you in the chat room? There were dudes in there knocking Edwards play today....unreal.

As on of JP's biggest fans it is clear to me now that Trent is the right guy for this team That was a tremendous performance today :worthy:

But im keeping my fan club :censored:

  8. I never said his release was slow! It is fast but he shot puts the ball and doesn't open his throwing shoulder up, he stays closed throughout his whole motion and through the release. Anyone who knows anything about throwing motions can see this. If he were to open his motion up there is no doubt he could throw the ball alot further.

    Just win the game

    Thats all i care about
