Araiza did, I agree, get a raw deal. Mainly because the league's rules don't really cater for a situation like his where a rookie who hasn't yet played in the league is subject to criminal investigation.

But there are two important differences:

    1. Araiza was facing a criminal investigation and possible charge. The criminal investigation has long since concluded in Hairston's case. No charges were brought. Is it impossible that new evidence comes to light and the investigation is re-opened? No. But until that happens his case is in a different category both legally and in terms of the NFL rules.

    2. Araiza was not honest with the team. That was part of what led them to release him. They felt he's intentionally misled them in his original account of events. Hairston has to this point been up front about the accusations. If it turns out later he has lied to the team I think the Bills would take that very seriously.

Also, the Bills were not going to let a possible SB team be asked weekly about the status of their rookie punter's sexual assault investigation. It was an unnecessary distraction and simply not worth keeping him

I think this stems from the fact they can't solve the Bills. They're pulling at strings leading to erratic decisions. The Bills have done this to a much lesser degree related to the Chiefs. At least it appears the Bills have a vision with a realistic plan lately. I don't see even a hint of one with the Dolphins.

The Dolphins are built very oddly. Two elite WRs, a solid QB, good backs and nothing in the trenches. Yeah, they can make some poor teams look bad with some elite skill guys, but when they to stop Josh Allen that have no answer whatsoever

Tomlin gets his high ranking for winning a Super Bowl and he also hasn't had a losing season his entire time coaching the Steelers. I am not saying he deserves to be 5th but the Super Bowl win and no losing seasons are why the media have him that ranked that high. With McDermott the media sees Allen as one of the best QBs in the game along with a good (NOT GREAT) roster and yet no Super Bowl appearances. The playoff failures are probably why the media has him ranked low.

Tomlin deserves some praise for being as consistent as he is. That said, he's a dinosaur when it comes to coaching. They haven't won a playoff game since 2016.

Stefaniski being ranked as high as he is insane too. He gets way too much credit for winning 4 games with Joe Flacco two years ago

This isn't McDermott related but check out these numbers.

    LOL

    .300 winning % (43-100) since 2015

    100 losses! in 9 seasons 🥲

Double-digit average (11.1) losses per season

4.78 average wins per season 🤣🤣

The slumlord Donald Sterling of the NFL

    A total embarrassment 😳

The above is the Jets record under Woody Johnson. Go Woody you are doing a great job.

Unless the goal is a comedy show

  5. Baker doesn't deserve to be on that list.

Lawrence is the worst to me. He has had 1 "good" season and has sucked otherwise. He is living off that potential since he was drafted.

Last year he had 11 Tds and 7 Ints in 10 games. That's replacement-level backup QB play. Trubisky, everyone's whipping boy here, never had that poor a ratio in Chicago.

Cooper Rush had 12 Tds to 5 INTs last season to put that in perspective

I think New England has slowly become one of the most overrated teams in the league. They’re “new” so I get it. It has a little of that 2024 Jets feel. They’ll be better than they were but I think like 7-10 or 8-9. Miami has become a touch underrated imo. They’re more likely to be the playoff team I think.

I don’t see it in NE. Everyone thinks Vrabel is some kind of genius when his entire offense was handing off to a HoF RB

Maye has been crowned the next great QB. He had some nice plays here and there but was pretty inconsistent overall and his last full game they lost by 40. I’m not impressed by him

Dan Mariano’s 1984 season was one of the best, if not the best by a QB of all time period.  (Other than not winning the SB)

Over 5,000 yards passing w 48 TD passes I believe.  That was sick for that era.  Duper and Clayton, good grief.  The game was played so differently back then.  So much more physical in every aspect.  And Marino just tore it up.  And then the win over the Bears in the famous MNF game the next season in 1985.

And Marino could just throw a football like no one else w that release.

Nowadays the QB’s are all scouted on “athleticism”.  Not so much arm strength, release and mechanics.  And you get clowns like Anthony Richardson being drafted in the top 5.  lol.  He would not have even played QB in 1984.  And he still likely won’t and shouldn’t now.

As for Josh, he is definitely going to the HOF.  His coaching has been mediocre at best on the Bills.  If he doesn’t win a Super  Bowl, it will not be his fault.

For a lot of guys, getting in the HOF is somewhat subjective.  I was always a big Phillip Rivers fan.  And would vote him in.  Great leader.  Thought he was better than Eli Manning.  Russell Wilson had some game.  But I don’t think he is HOF worthy.  Some may disagree w me on Rivers Manning and Wilson.

But Josh is not a maybe.  He will be a lock.

Other guys too who have never made a playoff game are locks. Like Joe Thomas, part of a 1-15 and 0-16 team will absolutely be in the HOF. But Russel wilson, who was a perennial playoff QB and won a SB, I'm not sure he was even the best player on his team. Rivers never made one, but he was a fantastic QB for a long time and took the Chargers to the playoffs with multiple HCs. He tore his ACL a week before the AFCG and played in the game. I always thought he was better than Eli

Gino  had basically 30 starts before the Jets gave up on him

The niners gave up on Trey Lance after like 5

The lights were too bright and the expectations were too high.. they were calling him a Josh Allen type

All of that was a recipe for disaster

Lance got hurt and then Purdy took them to the title game. I think if they had a poor season, Lance would have got to another shot

He’s got to at least get to a SB.  No QB since Warren Moon has made it without that criteria

Nah. Rivers is a HoF QB for sure and he never made a SB

Josh is such a unique player. He’s the first player ever to score 40 or more TDs in a season, for 5 consecutive seasons. That’s a level of dominance over half a decade. He’s had a perfect game in the playoffs, one of the best performers in playoff history. He will be the all time passing and rushing TD in Bills history when all is said and done.

Josh Allen is a HOFer. Enjoy the ride

I do not understand people knocking this policy. Did people not watch football pre-Josh Allen? If I was a season ticket holder watching my tickets go for $10 a ticket in December when face value was $100, I would have killed for this policy. This is a really good gesture by the team to keep season ticket holder loyalty. Something the Bills absolutely should have done during the drought.

I sold 2 of my Colts snow game tickets for 14 dollars total. At about 630 that night, I had 100 people tell me they wish they had been there

What they started doing 2 years ago pissed a lot of people off. In October they would send an e-mail to all season tickets requiring that they start paying for next year's tickets IN OCTOBER. The current season was still going on and they still had a lot of home games left to play in the current season and they were already asking for money for the following season. It wasn't popular with the season ticket holders at all.

If there's one thing people love, it's a billionaire asking for money

When I was a season ticket holder we just went to every game, regardless. Why else would I buy season tickets? NFL fans have gone soft.

I bought two tickets, one for me and my wife. We have young kids, so typically I go to every game, but she can't . Am i just supposed to eat the cost?
