No one is built to beat the Pats? Really? Anyone notice that the Pats haven't won a title in 7 years? Who's beaten them in the playoffs? Colts '06(Freeney/Mathis), Giants '07 (Tuck, Osi, MK), '09 Ravens (Suggs and Scheme) and Jets '10 (Scheme and Taylor, Pace)
I'm not sure what some are missing here. They are in our division. They've owned us. So going after players and using schemes that beat the Pats seems more than reasonable. The Bills don't have either. My post said that we still aren't built to beat them. Where am I wrong? Reality? Sorry.
I'm hoping they do. But I bet you won't be on here to eat your Bullsh*t after they don't.
Love your optimism. Ill be back and say im wrong if im wrong
It would be tough if my wife wasn't so hot.

I like Scoe and his big play ability, but I'm sorta thinking we need to move on from everything previous to this regime. (minus Williams and Fitz) This is a new team with a new identity. We need players that reflect a winning attitude and winning tradition here

The defense could have played better, especially the secondary. The offense, well, after Freddy's TD, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind we were going to win. I knew it, My whole section knew and the Bills knew it.
Oakland knew it too. Watch their body language after we took the lead the first time in the 4th. That D knew they couldnt stop us. It was beautiful really

I don't think the Bills have much to worry about in this regard. First off, its early in the season. 2008 taught me to be wary of early success. I want to see how we do against the Jets, Patriots, Steelers, Chargers, etc. before I start getting to hyperbolic. I think its fair to say that we have not yet witnessed the Bills look so explosive on offense in years. And that has a lot to do with Favre and his relationship with Gailey. Simply, he's Gailey's type of guy. They compliment each other very well. I don't know if he would be the same QB playing in another scheme, for another coach. Favre is very underrated, but he does, at times, make terrible throws. He caught 2-3 big breaks today. That TD pass to Chandler could have easily been intercepted, as could the deep out to Jones (the play when Jones saved the game by knocking the ball out of the CB's hands). If those two balls were INTs, the Bills would have lost and Farve would have had 3 picks. The conversation would have been very different. I know sports is always a game of woulda, coulda shouldas and I love Favre. But, lets see how the whole season plays out before we anoint him as the QB of the future..
Just imagine If the Packers had taken your advice.
The Amish Rifle is a gunslinger. You going to have a weird throw here and there, but most of the time you just open up the possibility of a big play
Fitzpatrick turns 30 next November, so there is some value in signing him due to his age, but he spent a couple of years holding a clipboard, which gives him less wear on his body than most NFL QBs his age.
Fitz ages quicker than most evidently becasue hes only 27...

I woulda have told you these guys would be good... after id seen it of course

Something that I've been screaming about on here for years is that the Bills are still showing nothing off of the edge from their pass rushers. I've brought this up more than a few times and I hear things like, "Batten, Coleman, Merriman, Moats, etc." But year after year they do nothing.
You need a strong pass rush off the edge to beat Brady and other than a play or two by Kelsay, the Bills have shown nothing from that position. When the Bills played him tough in the past, Schobel went off. Hopefully Buddy finally gets the point after Brady sits in the pocket and dissects our secondary next week and makes this position a priority before the 5th round.
Not being a downer, I'm staying consistent. I'm obviously happy that the Bills are at least fun to watch again and resemble a football. But until Merriman or Buddy (on draft day) wake up, I don't see things changing vs the Pats. I guess 14-2 isn't so bad though.
Im sorry this is bull ****.
You know how you win games? You play your game and make the other team play your game. The Ralph is going to be soooooooooo loud next week and the team BELIEVES they should win and will win. Beleive it. The Bills will win next week

Its football people get hurt. The hit was legal, the injury is regretable. Anyone that knows Stevie knows this wasnt intentional and its part of the game

He admitted he didn't get a play called in time for the Bowns D and that allowed A.J. Green to score the winning touchdown. It was on PFT. Ironically as I was typing this I realized I forgot to shut the hose off and slightly flooded my garage but atleast I didn't cost the Bills a win.

I couldnt actually hear the video because I dont have my headphones but i noticed Josh Freeman in a Bills Uni and a great cartoon of the Amish Rifle

Theyve been number one in my heart for years

-
who cares if the bills are or arent getting media attention. because as soon as they lose they're going get dogged.
do you think pats and steelers fans get all giddy when the media gushes over them?
Everyone wants recognition. When we beat the pats they will talk about how Brady lost and everyone will get pissed
-
How dare he encourage drinking? he is supposed to be a role model and represent the league. I'm sure Goodell will be all over this one and have a talk with...O wait it's Brady? Never mind, they might give him a medal instead
-
Don't you know this team will never go anywhere until we get a franchise QB?????
I think we might have found one.
Fitz won't be here for 10 years but he could be here for 6 or 7 or 8 even. Continuity is the key here. You have a guy play for you for 8 years, thats pretty consistent and better than weve had since Kelly left.
The team beleives in him, gailey believes in him and his numbers are pretty good. Lock him up now and draft a tackle early next year to protect him
-
Are you joking?
I like Fitz, but I'm thinking he's only worth $3-5 mm per year, if that.
I also have a serious problem of doing this now. Let the season play out, and then pay him. As we learned from Gregg Williams and Jauron regimes, you can start fast before the whole thing goes down in flames.
Like or Not we have to lock up Fitzbeardy, The Amish Rifle, Or Fitzmagic sooner rather than later.
3-5 Million is underpaying IMO. You have to go 6 or 7 at least but 9-10 is definitly not out of the question. Manning is getting paid 25 Million to watch from the sidelines and Carson Palmer has 12 million sitting on the table. Is Fitzbeardy any worse than Palmer? Eli manning?
Dude has 27 TDs in his last 14 starts under Gailey. Thats almost 2Tds a game. Pay the man

Amish Rifle. Goes together with Machinegun Kelly and Peashooter Edwards.
Edit: to the above poster, I believe he got a 50.

Next to Darryl Talley, Hanson is the most underrated defensive player I have seen on the Bills in the nearly 40 years I have been watching them. He played on the other side of the line from maybe the greatest DE in history and was overshadowed his whole career. If he wasn't on the other side, Bruce's stats wouldn't be so amazing, because they could have just run away from him the whole game. Brings up a question though, who if anyone since the Superbowl years has a chance to go up on the wall? Moulds maybe? Maybe Moorman if they would put a punter. If not Moorman, I don't see anyone from the past decade worthy.
Aaron Maybin thinks he belongs up there

Wonder what kind of cash we're talking? $9M-10M range per year is my guess.
Eleventy Billion and change total.

Bills 32: Bills played a horrible golf game the past few weeks. We had them pegged for a low round yesterday but it all fell apart. They should regain their form Next week against a Pats D that made Chad Henne look like Tiger Woods
