  1. Regardless, it does show that Buffalo's offensive struggles are not unique. I think most people here think Denver and Tennessee have better offenses than Buffalo, yet Denver couldn't score a TD against JAX and Tennessee, supposed to threaten for their division crown, couldn't beat them at home either. We're really down on the Bills offense so far (and rightfully so), but let's keep things in perspective here: JAX has a very good defense. (I won't say the same about Oakland, though)
  2. Just remember, there's a darn good reason Shane was swimming around in a pool during preseason instead of chucking footballs around a field.
  3. I was extraordinarily pi$$ed off at that incredibly awful holding call. If my wife and dogs weren't in the room at the time, something might have been smashed. In my mind, that was one of the worst calls I have ever seen. The HOLD did not start at the one yard line, CONTACT began at the one yard line. The HOLDING took place in the end zone. I absolutely couldn't believe what I was hearing. But hey, just another day in the life of a Bills fan.
  4. Happy birthday!! I assume from your absence in this thread, you must be out having a great time...
  5. That is so cool! I hadn't heard it before. And 6 kids....oh my. What a kick that would be for him.
  6. Teague played the whole game for us at center, if I remember correctly. Does that say anything?
  7. Great news, I am truly glad to hear it. Good luck with everything!
  8. Has everyone already forgotten about Ken Jones???
  9. Man, I just saw that movie with her and George Clooney, and she is so smokin' I can hardly believe it. What an incredible beauty she has. Liz Hurley is right up there with her, too. Ay carumba.
  10. Can't argue too much about your comments, but I will say this: The Bills threw a lot of different fronts and blitzes at Leftwich, most likely because he is a young QB and still has trouble with them. That appeared to be the case, as Leftwich appeared dazed and confused except for the final drive, when the Bills inexplicably stopped their previous ways. Gannon, on the other hand, has been around. He knows how to deal with blitzes, is able to move around in the pocket, and gets rid of the ball quickly and accurately. Gray probably didn't want to blitz and leave guys open, since Gannon could pick them out quickly. That said, I still think Gray and the defense did a bang-up job against the Raiders. Sure, they made a mistake or two, but in the NFL you're going to make some. If we had any semblance of an offense, one or two defensive mistakes wouldn't be enough to lose a game like that.
  11. Watching the Bills this year has made me feel like I've had two already.
  12. Who knows if he has or not? Maybe he just has a little class to do it behind closed doors, not through the media, which is just fine with me.
  13. I thought Dicesare's article today was excellent. I agree that there is no reason to expect this team to turn it around, and there is a fine line between being 2-0 and 0-2. The one problem, though (as pointed out above) is that being 2-0 gives you the luxury of some extra time to work out the problems. The Bills no longer have any time to figure things out. With the Pats up next, they need to get the ball rolling or they're staring right at 0-3, with a very possible 0-5 on the horizon. I also thought Bucky Gleason's article was good, too. More doom and gloom, but both Dicesare's and Gleason's articles provide good perspective to the problem. Who would've thought that our offense was THAT bad over the last 16 games? Even worse than the 2-14 teams? Ugh. It's almost enough to make me think it wasn't Killdrive. Almost.
  14. I don't know, my impression (particularly after the JAX game) is that we had much better success running the ball to the right than to the left. Problem is, the coaches kept calling runs left, and I couldn't figure out why. Against OAK, I didn't see any particular success right or left. I will say this: if this team could ever figure out how to finish off a drive with a TD, this could be a very formidable team. They do seem to have the ability to wear down defenses with that running game in the second half. Problem, of course, is that that's a HUGE if.
  15. The comments from TD (per ICE) and from Moulds in the article on BB.com, as well as others we've been hearing now and then, are all intriguing...they all point to how we should expect to see just how good this offense will be in the next few weeks. I know it takes some time for a new offense to get on the same page, but it sounds like some really interesting things are in the works........
  16. I don't particularly care about baseball, never did. No skin off my back. Just interesting to see how hurt a lot of people were, and how many said they could never really cheer for baseball as a sport anymore. Time seems to have healed that wound.
  17. The Broncos should have bent the rules for 5 straight years. Then they would've only lost a 5th round pick!
  18. So I guess it's all forgive-and-forget with the whole baseball lockout thing that happened years ago and soiled everbody's love of the game? Sure seems that way.
  19. I know someone going to the game this week...from what I've heard, I don't think I'd want to step foot in that place. Not without a helmet and a good rain parka!
  20. Dude, just imagine how incredibly satisfying it would be if the Bills pull it out. If they don't, well hey, nobody was really expecting it, right?
  21. That is truly amazing. There could be no greater act of kindness.
  22. That sucker was wide left as soon as it left his foot. It ended up not being by much (probably two or three feet at most), but I could tell right away.
  23. This was another problem I had, now that you mention it. The Jags are well known to be strong up the middle, with their two excellent tackles. Why try punching it in up the middle twice? Why not at least give it a try around end? A pitch would've been a nice call, IMO.
