  1. Trading back is not a great idea, don't need OBL to tell you that. All the teams around us and behind us could use WR help and those teams at the top of rd2 need WRs. Even staying at 28 could get you jumped... 😥
  2. I wish I had your level of confidence - I think without having a #1 to roll coverage away it will make life much more difficult. I also lack the confidence in our coaching staff, we are not like KC or SF where we can easily scheme people open and always have a target. When the plays break down, we do not have that guy that will make those plays for us. We need a game breaker
  3. This is one of the reasons why i feel like Beane will make a bigger move if he can - the not moving up much for Addison (they may have had Kincaid rated higher though) and the Elam pick - being patient cost us McDuffie and let KC jump us. I'm just hoping we have someone who is willing to move They are really high on Van Dermark, I'm not sure we will pay 2 tackles either as it is Brown's last year on his rookie contract...That is the only reason I am going there. There luterally is no one else on this team we can toss in. Elam is about as worthless as Zack Wilson
  4. You said this perfectly.... I'm prepared to be disappointed tomorrow, I hope I'm wrong tho
  5. Don't disagree with any of this, just trying to think of can a player be used a trade bait with what we realistically have that has some degree of value (not Elam). Where i get to is we have been close but not close enough to beating KC and now is one of the times to swing big to make our offense that much better and harder to defend. We have Josh allen and we will almost always be picking in the late 20s, on a serious note what does next year's 26 through 32 pick do for us? This is the year to go big imo and how do we sweeten it enough?
  6. Take the bears for instance they have 4 picks and tons of holes to fill, more picks to flesh out their roster and to actually get some talent in the building. The titans are under going a full rebuild and need drafts picks to well rebuild. Those are 2 top 10 teams that could use as many picks as possible. You could through NYG in as well, they have 6 picks. Could all those teams use a wr, yeah, but they value OL, QB even more. The Bears can also easily grab a wr at the top of rd 2... the giants will trade for Aiuk imo if they get a QB... More realistic is getting your teams in the teens to slide back... Odunze is easier to grab than Nabers or MHJr. I just can't see us getting to 4 or even 5 with the chargers. I do think the jets will try to move to the Chargers to get a WR (even though the should be looking at OL). I do think Spencer Brown could be a player included, last year of his deal (are we really going to pay 2 tackles?) We love Van Dermark and signed Collins. Is that enough to get someone to bite? Late first is also good CB territory as well.
  7. I'm conflicted this year because there is a lot of talent at WR in the draft. With Davis, I was fine a roll player WR replacement. I will admit that I was also hoping for a bigger move to eventually replace Diggs in 2 years, but I'm not sure I was willing to sell the farm for it. The Diggs move did change a lot on my perspective. I'm certainly for the we need to get younger, clean the cap up and re-tool. We couldn't run it back again because that iteration of our team was not good enough. The reality is we are entering Allen prime. I just can't see us taking a guy that will need a year or 2 to develop and honestly waste those 2 years. The WR room has 2 number 3s right now and Kincaid. That isn't enough and I'm not sold on not having a go to #1, it just opens up much more for an offense. The case and point for defense, I guess where I sit with that is load up on the secondary. I can almost never justify a first round pick on a safety, especially in our defensive system. I think you can find decent players in FA and the second round and lower. When it comes to a pass rushing end, how often does Mahomes get sacked in the post season? Or even pressured enough to make a mistake? It feels like having great cover guys may be the better option than trying to get him on the ground. The other point is, you have to score everytime you have the ball, you just do. It all leads me back to you have to do what you can to move up and get that guy who you can have 5 great years with allen. I hesitate for the trade for Aiuk since all of the cap space you would have for 5 years is gone (again). For Jefferson, I begrudgingly would do it...but I need to still win now and don't want to wait for the development time. If I move next year's 1, you bet I want it to be 28 or later. We have $10m in cap space coming back June 1 and can get a few other pieces to fill out the team. And next year use FA to further fill the holes. It just feels like this is the year to swing big again. I do wonder if Spencer Brown is a trade chip. One year left and we do like our back up Van Dermark, plus Collins makes me think he is a deal sweetener... Feels like a tough place to be right now
  8. Odunze or bust guy here...no way we get to the other 2 imo.... This was our biggest need before trading Diggs and not swinging here is a mistake imo. The money we saved from trading him allows us to spend more money in UFA next offseason to plug safety and even C/IOL. I don't see Beane risking a McDuffie situation and those are a lot of targets to replace. An $8 million FA WR and Shakir and Kincaid is not enough. IIRC, the bust rates in the top wrs is low, while the bust rate in rd1 wrs is well the next tier down and reaching for speed. When WRs get paid with a QB, those 2 players are a third of the cap. This is a can't afford to miss position. I'm just not sure we can convince a team to drop all the way down to 28.... This place will burn down if KC makes a huge move up and we muddle around...
  9. Yes he did and I believe he was the o ly one. Albright is legit and this makes me sad
  10. This is about putting Act II of Allen and the Bills with a soft reset. #1 WRs are about 12% of the cap and top qbs are about 20%. That is 1/3 of your cap going to 2 players. They can save so much in cap space for 5 years by moving up with honeslty 3 great WR prospects, you have to move for it. The cap savings pays for the extra 1st itself... Wr risk in round 1 has largely moved away from misses at the top of the class, go get one of the top 3 and pair this guy up with allen for the prime of his career... I'm certainly not trading back when the teams below us and at the top of rd2 who went qb in rd 1, need wrs also. I'm not sure I'm making a smaller move up for wr4 or 5 unless I have a ton of conviction on their ability and our ability to develop them. Do I want to part with next year's 1 for a plug and play wr this year or do I want to wait for year 2 or year 3 for them to come on during Allen's prime? I'm not wasting any time or years on his career. With the cap savings we can plug another hole or 2 in UFA in the next couple offseasons to negate the list one....
  11. Jefferson's age is what's key(and the fact he is a proven 1 and likely the best wr in the game) that is what makes him the only vet WR I would trade for and be willing to eat the contract he will get. This is such a glaring hole, beane is certainly swinging big here in the draft, if JJ can't be had.
  12. I'm on my phone, so I hope I left the part I wanted lol... 10000% on board with this and I think that is what Beane was dancing around with yesterday in talking about Diggs being a fierce competitor and that whole comment....
  13. If the vikings win about 6 games again next season and we end up in the same spot, the 2 seconds could get you to around 21 or 23... Trading for a wr and having to pay them, just loads the cap right back and aside from JJ, I'm not sure we go that route. A cost controlled 5 year contract and now relying on Allen to elevate the WR should be the expectation. It's not like needing to get a young allen a reliable vet type wr when we traded for Stef. We all know beane is aggressive, he values traits and is always willing to swing a trade up. I just feel that with missing out on Mcduffie and even WRS last year, he is not going to sit and be overly patient. He is going to go get his guy. Best way to shut the media and everyone up is to fill this huge whole in a big way. That cap money next offseason will go towards the D is my guess as of now....
  14. Beane is not going to do anything modest...this is a precursor to a bigger move 2 seconds next year for us will offset the loss of next years #1 To get a Rookie WR under a cost controlled 5 years over Josh's Prime = a big move and not a half-arsed modest one
  15. Every year the QBs are going to to be the top 1-4 picks and it never happens. OTs and the 2 "elite" WRs will go and I would wager 2 of the QBs will not go in the top 6... If Nabers or Harrison is there I will be surprised...It's possible, but I am fine with any of those 3
  16. This is easy - Julio Jones it for Odunze with NYG at 6
  17. Perhaps Maddy Gladd was right on the hot mic, the declining production last year, being invisible in the playoffs, flipping out during the Cin loss, the tweets, wrong side of 30, an enormous cap hit coupled with McD being very concerned and scraping the toothpaste back into the tube after minicamp = it was time to move on in a heavy WR draft class and get the value while you can These comments from BBB stand out... “but Stef’s a very competitive guy and I wouldn’t want to change that for him. I don’t think that was something — when we acquired him, I think we were very aware of his competitive nature. … “You don’t want to get into every reason you make every move,” Beane said. “It’s not one thing with any player. We’ve traded other players here, we’ve acquired other players, him being one. Everything you do, you think is the best decision. You weigh the pros and the cons of every decision like this. We don’t take it lightly. But you always make it in the best decision of the Bills. And that’s what we’re trying to do here.
  18. I got lucky on these ones and then my sister who I usually go with (wife doesn't go to games and has a bad back) is "worried" about the weather (she doesn't even drive - I do). So I am getting this out there to see if anyone needs them... I have asked a couple friends if they want to go, but they haven't gotten a thumbs up from their wives yet... I will eat the $700 for the tix before I sell them to Steelers fans.
  19. Selling my tickets, I have 2 Section 133 Row 30 Seats 17 & 18...these were bought from the bills, so no markups. Face value would be nice, but I can/will sell a bit cheaper
