You mean to tell me that you don't BOleave?

I can't stand John Hussey's voice.
-
Mac Jones can barely walk, but he's out there gutting it out for the team.

As a child of the 80's 4:00 games in SF always seem special. But this game is making me rethink that opinion.

I just checked the score on that and gave a full Joey Lawrance "Whoa!"
-
I think Harrison hates contact.

How do you serve?

I made a case for the Browns yesterday on the first page of this thread. It was, nevertheless, a huge upset. A couple of turnovers and a blocked kick and anyone can beat anyone in this league. It doesn't make it likely. Just possible.
-
True, but the Browns just beat the Packers. In the NFL, anything can happen.

No rankings until week 5 makes a lot of sense. Preseason rankings set narratives that are hard to rewrite with results. But yeah, Hoo, Hoo, Hoo, Hoosiers! (I went to grad school at IU and lived in Bloomington from 1998 until 2007).

How about that Jake Browning?

Looks like we'll probably be playing the Pats for first place in the AFC East in two weeks.

it's like 135 on the field in Tampa.

I thought that too in the moment, but he had 9 carries for 38 yards. I felt like Hill was destroying us, but he went 5 for 49. His longest catch was 19 yards and he only had 13 YAC. Dalton Kincaid, in contrast, had more catches (6), yards (66), and YAC (43) on four fewer targets. For as frustrated as we all were at the defense, they kept the game in front of them for the most part.

There are a lot of good games in the 1:00 window. The least interesting game is the PIT-NE game. Rams-Eagles: I don't think I need to sell this one GB-CLE: I talked about this one above HOU-JAX: Houston is desperate and the Jags just lost a heartbreaker in Cincinnati. Both teams need this one in the worst way. NYJ-TB: The Jets should get stomped and I always love to see that. CIN-MIN: Two backups. I am interested to see Browning go up against MIN's excellent pass rush. IND-TEN: The Colts have been excellent, but they should be 1-1. This will also be their first game on the road. Are they this year's Vikings or Saints? Then in the 4:00 window you get DEN-LAC. In all, sounds like an excellent day of stress-free football.

You might not hear that from fans or talking heads, but DCs know the bind they're in.

Cleveland should be 1-1. The Browns defense is legit. They held Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown to 17 yards of offense in the second half. No, I didn't omit a zero. They should have won that game. They lost by a point and had a missed XP and a missed chip shot FG. The Packers have looked good, but they have played two games at Lambeau. Let's see how they look on the road against an excellent defense.
-
You mean two plays before the missed FG when Jones went out for a play? I just checked. It was Shavers out there wide to the left and Moore in the slot. Just to defend Brady a bit, at that point in the game Cook was getting 9 yards pretty much every time he touched the ball.

I am really angry and frustrated about this too, but I'm not sure what is to be done. First of all, teams are forced to draft children. It would be so much better if the draft age was 20. The NBA made this change; why can't the NHL? Every time I pose this question, I get grumbling from Canadians that it's good for the CHL. The NHL is the biggest hockey league in the world, but they have to draft blindly because it's good for the Kamloops Blazers and the Brandon Wheat Kings? You couple that with a league where most players have no-trade clauses, and it is really hard to get off the mat when a team is this far down. No trade clauses pretty much negate the effect of the salary cap on league parity. So, you have to wait 3-4 years to know if a prospect is an NHL player and no vets are willing to play in snowy Buffalo in front of 100 angry fans. It's a tautology; no one will come here because of the empty building and the building is empty because no one will come here. All that being said, continuing on with Adams is clearly not the answer. They need to get a GM and coach with a winning background who will get players to lift their no-trade clauses so that we can trade prospects for guys that can win now. Because the team has to WIN NOW! But Terry doesn't see it that way. But as it stands, this team is more likely to move to Houston than make the playoffs anytime soon. And that would be a shame because Buffalo was one of the great hockey cities in the US.

1) I remember that play. That was also the game when Allen got a penalty for stiff-arming Aaron Donald in his grill. 2) PFR, which is where Google AI gets it data, has a discrepancy in its data. They list 5 passing TDs for Josh in the game logs for 2024, but only 4 in the yearly stats. Hence the 299 vs. 300.
