  1. Do I think Peterman will be better than Tyrod if we start him right away? I don't know? Do I think Peterman should start right away? I don't know. What I have seen in the three games is that he is more desicive. He is willing to throw into a small window and and when receivers aren't looking. He seems to trust the timing. All of these things we have wanted Tyrod to do. I am torn because I want to win this season. I think our defense is going to keep us in all of our games. I think our running game will be good again. I just am not sure what our O needs. What do you all think?
  2. I have not read anything in this thread. I didn't want to take the time to read 8 pages. My take is this... 1. Kap is at best a backup QB who has a hard time reading D's 2. He is good enough to play. 3. I agree with Shady that the circus doesn't help his chances landing on a team 4. I don't think the kneeling for the national anthem is what is holding him back from getting a gig 5. I don't think they should sign him 6. I won't care if they do... he is a back up and nothing else
  3. Where do you think this defense will rank this year and why? I know this is pure speculation but it has been interesting to see how good the defense has looked in pre season. I think they will be in the top 10. I think they will keep us in most of the games while giving a us a chance to win if the O can score. I think our front 4 will be in the top 5 unites for sacks and qb pressures. I think our LB's will surprise some teams and I think Bills fans will be happy with what we've got. The most surprising group I think is going to be the secondary. I believe we will be in top 10 in takways and points allowed. We may give up some plays in the secondary but I think we will tighten down in the red zone.
  4. As to the communication of the GM selling what he has done to the fans isn't his job. Fan are the easiest to appease with wins and success. That is where Bean wants to get. Right now we have lost for so long that we over analyze all the moves with not trust that they have a plan. This group seems to have a plan. Thy cannot tell us exactly why they do everything. If you watched the NBA this last year you would have seen that with Phil Jackson and the Knicks and it has hurt them dearly. The GM cannot say everything because it will limit their ability to follow through on the plan. Tell the fans as much as you can without jeopardizing the plan is what they did.
  5. It drives me nuts how reactive we are as a fan base. When the trade went down I was shocked. Since Friday I have had time to think, read and process what went on. 1. This was not a marketing move 2. According to MMQB Darby didn't buy into the system or the Front Office. He wasn't a good fit because he is a man to man CB, not a zone CB. We got great value for him in Matthews and a 3rd 3. Sammy was going to be an expensive glass doll next year. He is talented but has yet to show what he is capable of because he has been hurt. We received a starting caliber CB in Gains and a 2nd. Gains may or may not start but we saved on cap space for next year and may have replaced SW with a good receiver that has stayed healthy. 4. This Front Office and Coaching staff has said from the beginning that they are committed to the short and long term of this team. Why don't we believe them? To many years of losing makes us cynical. 5. This team is better than last year. Our D will be better and our O should be better based inn scheme. TT actually looked like he was anticipating throws. The pace was good. Will we be a playoff team? Who knows... time will tell but the trade was to help us get through this season with a chance to win and with the possibility of being deeper and more successful next year. 6. Anyone who thinks this FO is trying to lose doesn't look at whole picture, just the fact that they don't like losing Sammy Watkins and Darby. 7. The reason we haven't retained young talent is because of the cap situation we have. Now we have a GM that will be cap conscience and you will see us keep our young talent in the future. Remember the Seahawks when John Schnider and Pete took over. Their first two years were full of trades and FA signings. Now they have a team full of drafted talent that is getter by older.
  6. how about no!!! He is a product of Mike Leach... stay away!!!
  7. He has been out of the game for so long that I am not sure he would be a good choice.
  8. I am not sure this is a surprise for a competitor. He wants to play. I would be upset if he didn't care. It shows he has the fire to play. I think he is back with the team.
  9. I like the question about what they are looking for in a coach. I think that should have been pressed more. I think Whaley could talk in generalities without tipping his hand to other teams. I thinking asking him to give a fair assessment of TT progress as a QB. What did he like that TT did.
  10. 13. I think the D Gets better with Shaq and RR having a full offseason. I think Washington being benched will light a fire for him.
  11. I didn't see the game till well after it was over. I read a lot of tweets about the game and I have a couple thoughts. 1. I agree EJ looked horrible. He seems to rush. The game has not slowed down for him. I would let him walk. 2. The run game didn't look as horrible as some made it out to be. The Jets were daring us to throw, but EJ was off a lot and some balls just weren't caught. 3. Cardale Jones looks the part. I am not saying he will be ready next year. I think he has a canon for an arm. His footwork looks decisive. I am not sure how else to put it. His drop was quick and he was set and ready to throw. I think his setup to throw is quicker than TT. 4. I think we should stay with TT for the next two years. I believe that is what the next stage in his contract is for. Develope Cardale and keep drafting QB's. See where we are in 2 years with TT under center and if a change is needed Cardale hopefully has work hard and continues to grow. We need to be a QB farm!!! 5. Give Lynn the keys not because I know what I am going to get but because I like what I have seen. He is detailed and a HC needs to be detailed. He is strict but liked. I like his demeanor on the sidelines. I like that he is almost to honest and forthcoming with details. Stat I like from the game is no penalties. I attribute that to Lynn. I like the idea of Gus Bradley as a DC. 6. Keep Kyle!!! See if he will restructure and give him an incentive laden contact. Not that he needs motivation but because he deserves more money, but it protects you as a team if he gets hurt. 7. Look at Seattle's model of building using UDFA. 8. Let Gilmore walk. He is good but not a franchise type corner. I actually think he shies away from contact in the run game. I think teams know that and teach there receivers' to jump over him because he just tries to shoulder you to the ground. 9. I would try and keep woods if he isn't asking to much. Goodwin needs to go. Hunter is a keeper if he isn't asking to much. Tate is a good special teamer and back up WR. I would keep him around. 10. I would try and trade Shady. I like him and want him, but his value is great now. Running backs can be found. I think trade for some draft picks and get some added cap space. 11. I like Eric Woods but Groy has shown he can play well. Let him go. I don't think he is tradable because of the injury. 12. Trade if there are any takers Jerry Hughs. I think he was good but he just loses motivation and is frankly a whiner. Now I could be wrong but that's how it looks to me every game.
  12. Seattle has the most udfa on their team. They build through the draft and udfa. Us having 23 free agents and "limited" cap space isn't that big deal. What we have heard about Whaley is, he is good at FA and not good at drafting. It think we will be fine. I think they stat with TT. I think we sign a Loy of udfa and low level free agents.
  13. I saw a tweet from Alex Marvez that Pegula's were going to clean house. But when I went back again to look at the tweet it was gone. Anyone else see this?
  14. They did bring in Kevin Kolb to start so EJ could sit. Let's not revise history. EJ was supposed to sit for a couple years. Fans may have not liked it but that was the plan.
  15. Seattle and Denver anvereged about 2 less penalties than we did last year. I am not sure the penalties is the best measure of if the D is better than last year. I agree I want to see if the Personal Fouls are down, but that is on the players not on coaches. Honestly I don't remember how I felt about the D last year during preseason. I am sure I thought they were going to be good especially after week one. I do agree that there were some key injuries that didn't help. The one that was the worst was to Kyle. Kyle is a leader that would have kept guys on the field accountable. I really think Kyle could have helped keep Mario motivated. I do think that the second year in the system should help a ton.
  16. As I have watched this D during the preseason I have seen a different D. I think the D will be better. If we can be good early, the second half should start to resemble what we thought we were going to have with getting Shaq back and Marcell. What do you need to see?
  17. I think Little will be the third WR and make an impact. He has the potential of getting a lot of Red Zone looks.
  18. I am not a season ticket holder. I live out of town and wish I didn't I would love to be able to go to the game every Sunday eventhe past 16 years. I have been a fan since 1989. I have followed this team for a long time. I have read more about the Bills than probably any other subject in life. I watch every game after the Sunday night game because I cant watch any other way. Here are my observations and the reason I believe there is hope. 1. The "D" killed this team this year. We have some good pieces but I agree with everyone that we are going to have to retool to Rex's type of guys. They tried to win with what we had but players didn't fit the system. We can have hope because REX AWLAYS HAD A GREAT D IN NY. This year is an anomaly for a Rex coached team. 2. We know who our QB is next year. This is the first time that our team knew we had a QB in a long time, not hoping we have a QG, but knowing who he will be and what he does well. Having a QB is something that a lot of teams wish they had. 3. I agree with our RB's. There is hope because these guys can run (IF THEY STAY HEALTHY)!!! 4. We do need one more WR that is starting Caliber. I believe that if Sammy and Percy were healthy and on the field together this year would have been very different. There is hope because we have draft picks and a whole offseason. 5. We have an O-Line that doesn't need to be overhauled. We have a good LT, LG, RG. Wood's may make the pro bowl so either the fans don't know what they are talking about or the player. We need either 1 or 2 spots filled on the line to give us a good, maybe even a great line. There is hope. 6. We have two stud Corner Backs. There is Hope 7. Our safeties were good when they weren't hurt. There is hope. 8. This is not Cleveland. There is hope!!!

  20. I loved what he said about winning. He seems like he wants to work hard and play hard. I am excited to see what our line does this year,
  21. I have been a Bills fan since 1988. I cannot remember a time since the early 90's where I have felt like both sides of the line are a focus. In the last several years we have built the D line and now building a huge O-Line. I am excited to see what our offense and defense looks like this season. I love what the FO has done this off-season. The best way to keep this team in town is to build a winner and I believe we have a great chance of winning this year.
