  1. No one doubts the Bills would be lucky to hit the 6 win mark. The problem is that this free agency period would have been a nice starting point for the rebuilding. You don't rebuild with other teams scrubs which appears to be the Bills plan. Youa re right that it will take years to rebuild this team. A lot of us are just wondering when they will start.
  2. You miss the point. DC doesn't have to be "a savior". They are building and have in place pieces for a great supporting cast. The 'phins are light years ahead of the Bills and Buffalo doesn't seem to be willing to close the gap.
  3. Looks like a good time to acquire him for the famous 'conditional pick'. Considering what the Bills have at line now? The more the better.
  4. I would like the Bills to trade down. Maybe thier 1st and 2nd for Denvers two #1's. If that is possible I think the Bills could go back to back on the line. McNeil from Auburn (6-9 335) then come back with Giles from Georgia (plays gaurd and tackle). It would be suicide for the Bills to think win now. Long term the Bills the need five new starters on the offensive line. None of the returning players or any of the ones signed this off season are long term solutions. I'd like to see the Bills use there first three picks on the O-line. You have McGahee. Take the next two season he's under contract for and find out if he can carry the mail. No running back in the league was hit more behind the line of scrimmage then he was. Let's see what he's got before a decision on resigning him has to be made.
  5. Having a great TE will help the Bills. We need someone young and strong to help the QB's get off the turf. You can have Gates, Moss and LT on the offense. If the QB can't get them the ball because he's on his back then what does it matter? I've seen teams with average QB's win the SB. I have yet to see a team with an average offensive line win one. Which is why the Bills are in trouble unless they seriously start to address the problem.
  6. I searched online. Did this guy ever start an NFL game? Any stats on the guy would be nice.
  7. Maybe because he's 38 years old? But the Vike's are not any closer to the playoffs then the Bills so I don't see it happening. But the Broncos? If that big Duck is still there? A deal maybe had.
  8. And their case has the Penny. Well, maybe next time.
  9. HS brings up a great point. I feel when you have three QB's it means you don't have any. I have no problem with an open camp to decide the starter. I just have a problem with the three guys that will compete. You have a young kid that was mishandled, a veteren QB who hasn't shown much in his 9 years and a fourth year third stringer. With all the QB's that were to be had in free agency? This is the best the Bills could do?
  10. Yet he still plays in the NFL? 12 years of NFL paychecks so there must be something there. Who knows? If he was drafted by a coach who could cultivate QB's? You just never know.
  11. Didn't the current GM re-hire (or retain) the same coach the TD did? Or did you forget that? Jouren was not the first choice of the current leadership. He is a last minute replacement. But why bring up facts of the past? Lets hammer TD for not being "fan Friendly".
  12. Looked good? Should I even bother with breaking out the numbers or should I be nice and give you a chance to edit your post. You let me know.
  13. How about this? Before sending JP to the scrap heap? Let's get him an offensive line to protect him? It's not to late for the Bills to start. They stil have time to trade for and draft O-Linemen. Let's give JP more then 1-2 seconds to read a defense before it's decided that he can't. It's amazing how ghosts from the past get more of a benefit of the doubt then some of the sparse talent the team has.
  14. You have no idea what you are talking about. I am no WGR fan. But they have treated the Bills with kid gloves this offseason. What do you expect from them? To get all fired up about signing a bunch of third stringers? Should they do an hour on the Bills latest signing? The Packers #3 QB? Jesus. You people are unfriggin real. GR has been more then fair. Don't get mad at them. Get mad at the Bills for not giving them anything to talk about. The people who say that Bills fans are some of the smartest and best in football I will guess don't read these posts.
  15. You are right. Ralph has every right not to spend his money. Even when he raises ticket prices. Considering every NFL player salary is paid from the TV Money. Why should we as fans expect the Bills to even sign one quality player. As long they have the 50 or so spots filled as required by the CBA we as fans should all be happy. The tickets we buy have come with no gaurentee about providing a winner. Why should Ralph even want to try? Last year the team was 5-11 and sold out most of it's games. Ralph is no dummy. His plan is simple. Bring in a familiar face to appease the fans. Thinking that no one would dare question him and his abilities. Tickets will be sold. The house will be full and Ralph has more money to leave to his family. You are right it's not our money. My money is in the bank. The same place it was when I cancelled my season tickets before last season. If the Bills can't even make the effort to put an entertaining product on the field then I can't make the effort to write out the $500 check. When Ralph keeps his money I'll keep mine. When he decides to spend his? I'll spend mine again.
  16. Over 3,000? Wow. You should get together with the other guy and talk about someday kissing a girl.
  17. I am very interested in hearing how signing a wideout who doesn't even have Josh Reeds numbers makes Eric Moulds expendable? Really? Moulds is Miami bound as soon as he is released. Moulds wants a chance to win and knows this (Bills) franchise is as far from winning as any other team in the league. Moulds, Chambers, Culpepper, Brown and that defense? I think the end of the Pats run is upon us.
  18. I'll add you to the list of posters who can't come up with a reason why Marv is qualified to be the Bills GM.
  19. Wow. 4,146 posts. Doesn't leave much time for a girlfriend? But I guess it would be hard with your parents knocking on the basement door all the time.
  20. The best you can do is a recommendation from his friend? The rest of your post is crap. He is good with players? He was forced out of the game beacuse, and I paraphrase " I can not relate to today's players". He knows football? You just described about 1000 others canidates. Most of which are better qualifed then Marv. He's been to the SB and lost four times. Hell, is Bud Grant still alive? I think he's younger then Marv. Let's sign him up and get younger. As it stands. My challenge to all for a reason why Marv is qualified to be GM goes unanswered.
  21. Jauron's offense sucked. He had Erlacher and a weak schedule. Besides that? Jauron's record is a joke. Levy did not quit on his own. He was forced out becuase the game passed him by. And Levy has done nothing since then to catch up. The Bills offense was great because of Ted Marchibroda. End of story. And Bruce was great because he decided to be great. Marv himself would admit he couldn't coach the d-line to save his life. Polian stacked the team with great players and all Levy had to do was not F it up. And four times in a row he couldn't get out of his own way.
  22. Levy has been patient? He hasn't done anything other then sign other teams third stringers. Hell! I can do that. Jauron? He's just happy to have a job. No other team was even considering him. The only reason he was picked over Sherman was that Sherman wanted too much say in the players brought in. Levy would have beeen rendered useless with Sherman here and would have found himself out of a job quickly. He didn't work with Polian, he worked for Polian. And Butler thought so much of him that he forced him out as coach and put Phillips in. Try harder next time.
