  1. There is not a player at 9 that would have made this board happy. Come to think of it, there probably wasn't a player at 1 that would have made this board happy. I have gotten used to the fact that people will b!tch and moan no matter what happened.
  2. For everyone saying we don't have an OL, I think our interior will be in good shape. I assume the Bills know more about Wood than we do, Hang and Levitre will be there, and Levitre and Wood will be improved. I think we have a RT between Meredith, Bell, Green. If we get a 2nd rd. LT, will people be happy about Spiller?
  3. I wouldn't mind coming up to get Dan Williams right about now. Let our 3 QBs fight it out, and if needed go high at QB next year.
  4. How in the world does NE continue to get offers to trade down? It's like other teams just want to give up picks to them.
  5. Look, can't we just support the new guy? Half the board is going to piss and moan no matter who we took, Clausen, Bulaga, Davis, Williams or other.
  6. It looks ok to me, my only question would be ILB over QB. I think we have 2 between Poz/Mitchell/Davis. I would switch them, other than that, no complaints.
  7. I think that is one of the major reasons for Davis to be signed. If Schobel stays and makes the transition to OLB successfully, then Davis competes with Mitchell and Poz for the two ILB spots, the loser is the main backup. If Schobel does retire (or gets traded), then Mitchell can slide outside and compete with a draft pick and Maybin for the two OLB spots.
  8. I think you nailed it. This is exactly what I voted for.
  9. If Bradford is there at our pick, any thoughts of trading down with someone that wants him? Trading back 5-10 spots gives us still a good chance at grabbing a top LT or DT, and the extra second could really help. It all depends on whether the coaching staff is sold on him or not.
  10. Moving up to get Bradford would in my opinion simply cost too much. We are looking at losing probably our second your pick this year, plus something more depending on how high we need to move. With all the other holes we have in our team, including at Tackle (since we would like to keep our injury-prone and weak--not my words QB on his feet), I just don't think we can go for it.
  11. By the way, I really like our draft on his site. Davis (OT) first round, Cam Thomas (DT) second, Jevan Snead (QB) third, and Norwood (LB) fourth. That would be a pick for each of our 4 biggest need areas, and I think most people would be ok with at least the first 2 picks.
  12. No offense, but starting your post out with, "Sorry Bills fans I hate to break the news, you guys are smart right? Then you all should know Trent Edwards will be the Bills QB in 2010. Say what you want" The "you guys are smart right" implies that if we disagree with you, we aren't smart. Also, they way you write makes it sound like your opinion is a fact. There is no "I think, I believe, If I had to guess, etc" You are certainly not alone in this, but when people post without the qualifier that they are GUESSING or HOPING (except for a couple around here who seem to have some inside info) it makes you sound arrogant. I think.
  13. This. Incognito at RG if wood is not back. Depending on Incognito's play, we could also look at leaving him there and transition Wood to center (again depending on his health).
  14. I say bring in McNabb on a 2-3 year contract. Let him start, have some combination of Fitz/Brohm/Edwards back him up (I would prefer Brohm and Fitz at this point). Let Brohm take a bunch of practice snaps and learn the offense, coming in to clean up games (if we ever get far enough ahead). Next year we focus on the QB to groom after McNabb leaves after building our lines this offseason. I have very low expectations for our team this year. Bringing in a round 1 QB isn't going to change that much this year with the Oline still hurting and a change on defense. Next year however....
  15. Astrobot, I think your last your last post nails it. Bulaga, Spikes and Thomas would make a great start to the draft.
  16. As long as we get a DT/LB/OT in our first three picks I will be happy. Take the BPA each round based on those three picks and how the rest of the draft is going at that point.
  17. I agree with what has been posted: LT, DT, LB, WR, are probably our greatest concerns, with the likelihood that we will pick up a quality starter for at least one of those positions through FA (my guess would be WR). QB I agree we need an upgrade, but lets either get a vet FA or wait until next year--the only way we improve through the draft is by taking a QB Round 1, and I really don't want to do that right now with all the other holes to fill--too high risk/reward right now. I agree, Bulaga, Cody, and then the BPA between WR/LB would be a great start.
  18. And you know Schobel is done or not interested in changing positions because...? He mentioned he is thinking about retirement? Unless I missed something he hasn't said he is retiring yet. BTW, what does that make Brett Farve, extra crispy?
  19. Ok, Hangartner I can possibly understand, but calling Levitre a backup quality player after his 1st freaking season is a joke. Seriously, I am sure Kelly, Bruce, and Thomas would have been called "backup quality players" after their first season under your criteria. Give the kid a freakin chance to develop.
  20. I know, that's why it is conditional depending on Schobel's retirement. If he stays, then take Jones. If he goes, take a DE
  21. Rd.1 - Weatherspoon (or McClain if somehow he is still there) Rd.2 - Jason Fox Rd.3 - Arthur Jones/a DE depending on Schobel Rd.4 - LeFevour
  22. It seems really counter-intuitive to be hiring position coaches without having a DC in mind. What are the chances the guy we want is on the Colts or Saints, and we can't hire until after the Super Bowl? I know this would require the Bills to be doing something logical, but unless they are totally going crazy, they wouldn't be hiring people without some type of input from a potential DC. Is there anyone on the defensive side of those two teams that would be a logical choice? Where is NGU when you need him....
  23. I still do not get the love with the 3-4. Both super bowl teams and 3 of the 4 conf. champ. teams were 4-3. Ok, so switching would let our O see it during the week. Big woopee, they have all seen it at least 6 times this past year, they should know what to expect. I think we need to get away from the Tampa-2 version of the 4-3, but that doesn't mean that we have to switch completely. I really think we are maybe 2 players away from a very good 4-3 defense (a better MLB that can move Poz outside, and another DT/DE assuming Schobel doesn't retire). We are MUCH MUCH further away than that if we want to move to a 3-4.
