  1. Bills could always franchise him after next season...not saying they will but unless it was in his contract that they couldnt they could put the tag on him
  2. he injured his ankle during the second quarter of the Pittsburgh game and didnt return...he then didnt play the following week at Chicago but did play the week after against Washington his left knee was the bigger issue and was assumed all year he would need surgery after the season but they didnt think he would need surgery on his ankle otherwise it most likely would have been done already just as the sugrery on the knee was done 3 months ago
  3. Westbrook's main problem was with his knee last year not his ankle...he had surgery on his knee 3 months ago
  4. it means he's the first guy to start at LT on opening day besides Tra Thomas since Mayberry in '97
  5. it doesnt work like that in the NFL since salaries are not gauranteed
  6. why would Roger suspend him again when the charges were dropped the next day?
  7. it would be like the greatest show on turf except Vick isnt any good, they dont have any good receivers and their offensive line is horrible....other then that yeah they would be just like the greatest show on turf
  8. mainly, was he charged?
  9. you should really get your facts straight before trying to be funny
  10. the Bills were never rumored to have turned down the 21st pick, they were rumored to have turned down a 3rd round pick instead choosing to take a 4th and conditional pick next year along with 28 the majority of fans would have wanted the Bills to take Pettigrew at 21 if he was there but Im convinced they were set to go with Maybin at 11 then O-line with their second first even if it was the 21st they seemed to be content with Walker at LT so they probably would have still passed on Oher at 21 if they got it but maybe would have taken Mack instead of Wood
  11. why is CB different then any other position? wouldnt it be nice to have too many tackles and just be able to plug another in one when goes down? winning in the playoffs is just like winning in the regular season, you need to run and stop the run and that starts with both lines and on defense, a good pass rush will slow down any passing attack, perfect example is what the Giants did to the Patriots in the super bowl
  12. you must not have watched Rice play during the late 80's and early 90's you state that TO didnt have a HOF QB throwing to him then just dismiss the fact that he had Steve Young throwing to him while they were in San Fran together....one could also argue that McNabb is a potential HOF QB TO has been a great receiver in the NFL but he isnt Jerry Rice and to debate otherwise is just stupid
  13. did you watch Marvin play the last two years? he's done the Bills are also trying to unload one of their receivers and you are suggesting they bring in another
  14. There was also a reason Thurman Thomas slipped, how did that work out? players slip every year for whatever reason, some for good reason and some for not I hated the Maybin pick
  15. the Bills dont have a WR problem Ellis is not a 4-3 LB and isnt worth trading for
  16. first thing he needs to do is run more like a WR then a TE people expecting anything more then last year from a guy coming off an injury and battling for playing time is kidding themselves....my guess is Hardy is inactive more then active this year
  17. the failure is going 7-9 year after year, not making a coaching change and expecting different results at least Detroit finally woke up and canned Millen and their coaching staff
  18. i thought it was a little much as well....could be a PR move, maybe they are just trying to get the fans as fired up as possible
  19. 4 or 5? with the amount of playing time he is going to get he better get more then that with a lot of pressures
  20. just look at Ralph's history, he hasnt fired a coach mid-season since '86 and with two more years guaranteed for DJ I dont see him going anywhere he also doesnt spend a lot of money on coaches and doesnt go after the top tier guys i think its a little late in the game to expect Ralph to change
  21. with two years left on his deal after this season I really dont see Jauron getting fired no matter what their record is you are kidding yourself if you think there is even a remote chance of any of those guys being the next Bills coach
  22. you cant justify the Bills love affair with CB's simply because a top CB in the league is in a contract dispute players at other positions hold out too, what then? what about when a LT holds out, can you really have enough of them?
  23. not so much firing coaches as it is just firing Jauron
  24. I think people give McNally a little too much credit for Peters and the player he turned out to be. Peters is a gifted athelete that played TE in college and the blocking assignments for a TE are not that much different then tackles so the move wasnt as dramatic as its made out to be. McNally helped obviously but I dont agree that he is the main reason or as big a reason Peters turned into the player he is. The talent on the Bills O-line wasnt good under McNally but you would think if he was "the best" or as good as some people claim that they would have played better then they did.
  25. the argument ended a few posts ago when I corrected your misinformed statement and when did I say I didnt want Jauron fired? He is a horrible head coach that should have been fired a long time ago The topic was would Ralph fire Jauron or any other head coach during the season not what you or I would want to happen...try and keep up next time
