  1. Watching game only to see Joe Licata because he is son of Gil known since I was a kid. Kid looks decent, but Ohio State is outclassing Bulls. 16-0 OH with 7 min in 1st quarter.
  2. Tony Greene, number 43, used to have his jersey... memories.
  3. Sign Winfield, consider Florence as others have said, can cover better than McKelvin. Find lineman and consider any young CBs teams with talent are trying to stash on practice squad. Can't believe the Bills don't have talent at CBs they have drafted over the years and let go. Another part of the past coaching mismanagment. P.S. ESPN announcing Godd was cut. Anyone gonna pick him up?
  4. Can you say orange paint pellets for those signs. In Buffalo just red white and blue pellets would work well, but I would relish the Bills having this problem.
  5. Ah, the NFL would 't come up with the bucks to make it happen and now they have egg on their face... what a joke. The NFL doesn't usually make mistakes like this... and people will forget about it except Denver fans who will believe they have been jilted and ensure they will be even more crazy in the mile high city on opening day. Funny and pathetic at the same time...
  6. What I find even more pathetic is the Broncos twitter team trying to defend the images. Really pathetic... I agree they wouldn't last in Buffalo, montain politeness might prevent action, but gotta believe if this happened in Chicago, charges would be brought against league and in Green Bay, cheese would be used to defame those images. In New England, Craft wouldn't let it happen, but could you imaging the red headed drunken Irishman and the effect of green paint on this ill conceived pr idea I think a pr guy needs to be fired.
  7. Tuel will be a good backup but is going need time to develop. So, what does the 2014 draft look like? Who should the Bills draft next year.... Hmmm guess that should be another thread.
  8. So when does hockey season start.... oh crap the Sabres are going to be worse than the Bills because they still don't have a number center (quarterback)
  9. So when does hockey season start.... oh crap the Sabres are going to be worse than the Bills because they still don't have a number center (quarterback)
  10. Geez the Defensive line (2nd stringers) look slow. What happened to all the new speed and playing for a position. Lack of effort is a signal. Cut...cut... cut.
  11. Young team, gonna have growing pains... P.S. Jests offense and D looks worse than the Bills if that is to be believed. Wilson from Manning for 80 yards of first play from scrimmage and Geno looks slow on his reads.
  12. Yeh, that was my concern... oof, I thought the D line was going to be better against the run or is that the linebackers. Either way to front seven looked amateurish.
  13. Turned the volume off. They are talking right through the game, who cares about Daniel Snyder's trophy wife... Wonder what the over and under is on him trading her in for a newer model.... talking years here. Looked like she had some work done, so the aging process has to be on his mind... (Sorry, couldn't help but being crass about a Washington, DC wife)
  14. True and Theisman is still a punk.... where is Lawrence Taylor when you need him.
  15. At least the rose is off this bush now and at least it is preseason and the Bills are not getting set up for high expectations. I was hoping this team would be interesting and it maybe still, but any thoughts of a competitive team are out the window. Glad Tuel is getting work and learning. Great for him and long term good for Bills.
  16. So anyone likely to be on the waiver wire defensive back wise that is young and might be designated for practice squad the Bills can chase. This group looks awful.
  17. So the new look Bills look like the old look Bills on Defense. Wonder if the Bills should cut Kolb, chalk this year up to a learning year at QB and hope for high first round draft pick for the Defense.
  18. He was one of the first real disrupters on the D line. Also, he had a hilarious sense of humour. Loved to watch his show in Baltimore when I lived in DC. He knew good players from bad and always had a funny way of expressing it. He will be missed. Can't believe he was 89. Time flies.
  19. The problem is that he is a spoiled little Rich Kid, big fish in a small pond, but the Heisman just made his pond a lot bigger and brought with it problems his folks or the football program can't shelter him from his immature stupidity. Not sure he realizes it, but he is now swimming with the big fish. Problem is, I am not sure he realizes that his pond is so much bigger and that it is time to grow up. Dude should suspend his twitter account, quit using the excuse that he is 20. If he wants to lead a football team, he needs to be better than that and I don't think he is anymore talented that say a Doug Flutie. Yet some team might just be stupid enough to draft him high. I wouldn't waste a pick higher than a 5th on him. He would probably make a good receiver though.
  20. I hear you except, I don't think he could stay on the field. Think hockey and Joakim Hect with the Sabres, took almost a year off and had a decent final year. I think if he can be symptom free for a year plus than he might consider a return. His brain needs to heal first and who knows how long that will take. P.S. I have had two concussions in my lifetime, one from hockey and it took a while (over a year) before the back of my head stopped feeling cold when I put on my helmet on in the locker room. Probably shoudn't have kept playing, but didnt realize what I had till I talked to a Dr. years later. The other was a tailgate of an old mercedes wagon hydrolics gave out and clipped me above the forehead. Photographed a wedding afterwards and don't remember taking half of the photographs. Took nices ones but still, had a headache for two days afterwards. They are not to be messed with.
  21. Agreed, the Bills have all the leverage right now and Byrd's holdout only hurts him from a P.R. standpoint. I think he should sign the tender and ask to be traded if that is what he wants or propose a long-term contract. Either way he has no leverage. Bills are still rebuilding, so I say go after high multiple draft pics and or a key young player or two. What is happening now is just bad advice from his agent. Not like he won't be making bank with the franchise tag. Ah, the impatience of youth.
  22. Hmm, I seem to remember a two time Stanley Cup winner from Buffalo being similarly aflicted... by the name of Patrick. The fact that he is an immature brat at 20 is not a surprise. He only has a drinking problem if he can't control it. Better yet, he should probably just not go out anymore. Welcome to the big leagues boy, you are not in Texas anymore. There are too many people out there willing to take a kid like this down. I hate to say this, but the days of being unknown and protected are over with. Daddy and Mommy can't protect him anymore. No time like the present to grow up. He is going to need to if he wants to succeed. Somehow, Kane seems to have taken the rough edges off his public appearance, or at least isn't doing dumb things in a place where he can get caught at. I am not judging the kid, I did my fair share of stupidity. There just came a time around his age where it was obvious that it was time to grow up.
  23. It should probably be changed and this debate has been going on a long time, it is insensitive, but the team name has a long tradition and this controversy was debated for the 20 years I lived there at varying levels of intensity. However, the Washington Bullets changed their name impart because for a while during the crack scurge, DC was known as the murder Capital of the US and the name Bullets seemed to only encourage the behavior so why not let the name go... Just my op. Come up with a decent alternative and get 'er done...
