  1. The sense is that even at 80% he's good but not special, and they need him to be special to accomplish their goals.
  2. I live in Chicago and hear three common refrains: 1. Howard is awesome and badly underused by the coaching staff. Fans here want to protect Mitch by emphasising the run. The Bears often do the opposite. 2. Mack's health is more important than any remaining game in 2018. It would be fine with most fans here if the Bears put him on the shelf because nobody is seriously thinking about a championship this year, but they are for next year. 3. Cohen is very quick and makes plays when he gets the ball on the edge or in space.
  3. It’s true that all the team goals are still alive, but if the bigger issues with the coaches and lack of fire are not fixed — and I’m not sure they can be fixed this year — then I’m concerned that a playoff game would be a very bad situation for this particular group. But I like the optimism and know there is plenty of talent and skill at OSU right now, so let’s see how it goes.
  4. That Team Up North
  5. That’s the way I see it. He has done a remarkable job building that program back up, but he’s also taken absolutely horrible home losses during a time when the team appeared poised to take the next step.
  6. They’ve been through a lot this season. I see fatigue at every level.
  7. Like last year? Whatever. I don’t trust any unit on this team in a playoff other than QB and WR. Time for the bye week.
  8. Right and this one hurts bad because Nick Bosa only started three times and never played a full game for OSU.
  9. Agree. And for me personally, I will always be thankful for the times when I got to enjoy watching a Bosa blow up offenses for the Silver Bullets. Legendary stuff from those boys.
  10. With Bosa and healthy depth players on the D line, that unit was so dominant that it could overwhelm offenses and cover up issues on the back end. The injuries have left the entire defense badly exposed and now the team goals are in doubt from my perspective. It will take a historic performance by Haskins down the stretch and an incredible coaching job by Schiano and Grinch to get this sorted.
  11. ???
  12. Bama’s skill players were seriously dinged up last night and the team still rolled. Tua went down so Hurts came in and promptly launched a 40 yd bomb on the money to some kid I never heard of.
  13. Lots of issues but Isiah Prince is a real head scratcher for me. Can’t remember a worse game from the senior captain. There is good cause to be concerned about each game left on the schedule (except Nebraska ?). Sparty and TTUN are always tough. Purdue can absolutely take advantage of the defense. Maryland is playing well and a potential trap. Buckle up.
  14. Michigan is getting better every week. The Game is going to be wild this year (again).
  15. Looks like Tua just hurt himself sliding in the bama game. Something is off with him.
  16. These teams look pretty good to me.
  17. Psyched for LSU. Watching UM-Wisc and never thought I see these two teams line up and throw it all over the field like they have in the first quarter.
  18. They got whooped in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Still can’t run. Haskins is a hero.
  19. You’re lucky - this game is painful to watch.
  20. Thanks. I’m nervous for Joe Burrow against Georgia.
  21. This pic from 2014 is my favorite memory of a Minnesota game. Tough game in freezing wind and snow, and this coach is on the sideline enjoying an ice cream right in Ohio State’s face. Legend. After the game Urban Meyer said, in response to a question about whether Ohio State earned enough “style points” in the 31-24 victory, that he challenges any program in America to travel to Minnesota in late-November and try to win a football game in these conditions. It ain’t easy.
  22. 96 yds in 2:30 for the game winning TD against PSU #DwayneTrain
  23. Lol
