  1. Over the course of the season I first expected to see two thousand-yard rushers, and then I figured there would be none. Dobbins ending up with 1,000 yards shows how the offense found balance down the stretch.
  2. In 2014 OSU took a home loss to a Va. Tech team that ended up 6-6 just like the 2018 Purdue team. Still made the playoffs and we all saw what happened.
  3. 2015 too. I was actually fine with being left out last year because JT wasn’t going anywhere in the playoffs. This team can win though so for the first time a rose bowl would be a disappointment for me.
  4. Hell yeah. I want to see how far this Dwayne Train can go while we have him.
  5. I agree with pretty much all of this - except I think Bama goes to the playoffs even if they lose because at that point they’ll have the best win (LSU) AND the best loss (Georgia). As as for the Buckeyes, it’s hard for me not to think that on some level the committee is steering the process toward Oklahoma. However, the more likely scenario is that they see two great offenses and two shaky defenses - and they simply prefer the team that lost to Texas to one that got blown out by Purdue. If that’s the case, similar to last year, I wish they would just say it rather than come up with these tortured rationalizations.
  6. Fitzgerald is a good coach, he'll have a good game plan, and he gets to tell his players all week that the whole world outside their own practice facility is not asking IF the Wildcats will lose but whether they will lose by 50. I'm confident the Bucks can roll if they play with the edge they showed last week (and only last week), but I'm concerned about the team taking anything for granted following an awesome game and celebration this past week.
  7. He doesn't have the hands to be an outside WR. Short passes in space and watch him make plays.
  8. Carved up like Thanksgiving turkey.
  9. Out of our cold dead hands.
  10. Defense has me feeling even more anxious that usual before The Game... and my usual level of anxiety is not pretty.
  11. Ohio State’s run of dominance since 2001 has been incredible, and while the Buckeyes have the talent to win today, TTUN appears ready for a breakthrough performance. So I’m ready for my beat down if that’s the way it has to be. Please avoid the face. Go Bucks.
  12. Let’s do this.
  13. Fingers crossed.
  14. I think it was a perfect answer!
  15. Higdon coming hot out of the gate!! Harbaugh guaranteed a win over OSU while he was QB at TTUN, and made good on it, so I’m not really surprised to see this.
  16. Michigan just had a nice TD play on a Patterson pass to the TE. Defense walked the LBs all the way up to the line leaving the middle of the field open for the TE. Kid was wide open for an easy score. Look for that same play next week against Ohio State, which does the same thing with its LBs and gets torched regularly on underneath stuff.
  17. All aboard the Dwayne Train! Where it stops, nobody knows.
  18. That’s the best case scenario— rope a dope, fresh Mike Weber, Haskins finally learns how to run the RPO. Still tough to watch that defense.
  19. I can't believe Michigan week starts tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm hearing more and more buzz around the idea of Haskins coming back next year. I hate to say it but I kind of hope he moves on so that Tate can take over and run the RPO with playmaking legs and a big arm. If Tate isn't sure he's the starter next year I could see him transferring.
  20. As someone who was a student at OSU in the mid-90s, I still can't accept any of that. The worm *always* eventually turns in this rivalry.
  21. Word.
  22. During the bye week I saw somewhere that there is so much tension in a few of the unit rooms that coaches are trying to be super positive to avoid a total breakdown. I wonder if this is part of that - must be.
